Good place to stay. There are good places to eat nearby (authentic Chinese, good pub). Staff was friendly and accommodating when we needed to extend our stay. Clean rooms and common areas.

The hotel was very well maintained, including the lobby, rooms, swim area, kitchen, etc. ALL employees from front desk staff, the manager,custodial and maids were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very impressed and will be back again!
Check in person, in particular, was outstanding in every way. Courteous, helpful, upbeat and generally committed to customer satisfaction. One of the best check-in experiences we have had in a long time!response / report this review -

This Hotel was good to my family. Great location, not too close to the beach but only a 2 mile walk.
Very good with wheelchaired bound guests such as my son.

Another great stay in Capitola. My wife and I come here about once a month or so. Always treated great. They really do treat us like family. We were staying elsewhere until about a year ago. Came here and rooms are better, people are more friendlier, and the location is outstanding. Give the placed a try and you will come back

GREAT hoteldon't pass this up!!! Excellent staff, comfortable rooms, generous complimentary breakfast. Just a short drive to "Pleasure Point" & "The Hook" which provide amazing views of the ocean and landscape.
Fun to watch the local surfers catching waves and experience coastal living. I am a picky traveler and this BW exceeded my expectations.response / report this review -

This hotel has a lot of character and charm: Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful artwork, healthy fresh house plants, and clean and tasteful decor. The hotel is close to the freeway, yet within walking distance to great stores and restaurants. It is also very quiet at night. Great for the on-the-go traveler!

We left some thing very special of my sons in the room and the staff found it and Christine is sending it to me! The whole stay was very pleasant. Clean rooms, pool, nice little breakfast spread. Nothing fancy, but you feel safe and cared for by the staff. For the price, you can't find better in the Santa Cruz area. Many thanks to the friendly staff for a great weekend!

As always, our stay at Best Western Plus Capitola by the sea was exceptional.
The staff was helpful, the breakfast amazing and the room very comfortable.
The hotel is 0.8 miles to the beach, which is a nice walk to the shops, restaurants & the wonderful beach. It is so much easier to walk rather than trying to find parking in a congested area. We love Capitola and this hotel. Every two years we look forward to our stay here for 3 to 4 nights. Love it!response / report this review -

We had a very nice stay at the Best Western Capitola. The room was spacious with the beds and the service was excellent. We asked for extra towels and the desk attendant was helpful and service was quick and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and the food hot and fresh. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Clean room. Very nice staff. The breakfast had a good variety of foods/drinks. Room had microwave and mini fridge. Hotel was within a reasonable walking distance from the beach.

This is my favorite place to stay when visiting my daughter in Santa Cruz. Good location, nice hotel, good price, free breakfast, pool and gym. Good cookies at check in.

Really pleasant best western. Well decorated with all the things you want. Comfy bed- good wife- refer and microwave. Work desk set up nicely. Pool with hot tub( did not try). A nice feature is they have a separate sink mirror besides one in bath. Handy for couples or family groups.
