It's clear that they've been remodeling the place, but it still needs some work. It was a decent place to lay our heads for a night. Beds were reasonably comfortable and overall the place was very clean.

This is more of a roach hotel than anything. Toilet doesn’t flush, rooms are very very loud, and location is actually very unappealing and far away from downtown. The only thing this place is good for is the lower room rates.

The indoor pool was a great addition. I got a deal here which made it very affordable. Room size was generous and front desk was friendly. They got a deal with the aquarium, 2 days for 1 ticket which is hard to find. Definitely ask them about it. I would say the negatives are noise and not the best of insulation, so it was a bit cold.

Okay for the price. But don't expect five star service. If you or your spouse is not picky and knows that you're in Monterey to sight see, and not to be in a resort, you'll be fine.

The place looked better in pictures. Location is great but the room itself was small. There's a table with only 1 chair which sucked cause my husband ended up sitting on the bed to eat. There's a sofa bed that faces a wall. It's really a waste of space. When I called the front desk and asked for a late check out the man said I needed to call housekeeping, that is NOT my job. That was his job but was being lazy.
The room was very run down, I will not be staying there again

i totally loved this little motel. it was cheery and fun. the rooms were decent. the staff was super nice. i mostly loved how fun the ambiance was.

for the price it is a very nice hotel. Location could have been better, 20 min walk to the warf.
Nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Internet signal was good. The possibility to to laundry for 3$, which was nice as we're on a roadtrip for 4 weeks.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were spacious. Really the only bad thing is if it's a busy weekend, all the parking will be taken by people splitting rooms forcing you too have to park somewhere else. Other then that it's a pretty nice hotel.

For me I know it's not a five star hotel, but, the receptionist was pleasant and helpful the area was quiet, the courtyard layout was good. Most important of all the bed was comfortable with clean fresh smelling linen and we got a great nights sleep. Maybe as some people say the decor and furniture is a bit dated but I've stayed in Five star hotels that had furniture I wouldn't have in my own home! We loved it and are coming back next year. Thanks for a pleasant stay Stargazer Inn👍🏼 👍🏼 😃

This inn was a great option for our stay in Monterey and not far from downtown. The owners are friendly and made us feel welcome. Room was very clean and the fireplace was a nice bonus! Pool was clean and parking convenient.

Very cute Inn! They have fireplaces in the rooms. The staff is very friendly and seems to be family run! The rooms are clean, and pool is indoors, and heated. Would defiantly stay again!

Very nice hotel for the price. This was one of the cheaper one bedroom suites that we were able to locate in town and we are very content. It is not a five star hotel, nor is it rife with amenities, but it met our needs in a comfortable manner. The room was clean and newly (if hastily) remodeled. The bed was comfortable and it had two TVs, a fridge and a microwave. There is an indoor poop and hot tub as well. The only complaints are the tiny balcony with a single chair overlooking a parking lot and the lack of a safe in the room. But honestly neither of those would prevent us from staying again. Definitely a great place in a budget!

Room was decent, could use an upgrade to the doors and decor. Best part was the indoor pool and spa which were heated. Ice vending machine was broken, hot water was not hot enough in the evening. Good location for bars and restaurants.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights! I loved it. The pool was awesome the room was nice and clean and would definitely stay here again. My only problem is that the website says it serves free breakfast when in actuality or doesn't at all. however there is a Denny's less than half a mile away. I also walked to Del Monte shopping center since that was half a mile away!!
