Superb Dining and Bed And Breakfast Experience.
We headed north about two hours from Atlanta to this wonderful destination. It was a truly great experience. We rented one of their wonderfully furnished and comfortable rooms on the garden side of the property, The views from our room were gorgeous. The entire property is meticulously groomed and so well maintained. We made dinner reservations through Open Table ahead of time to make sure we were able to get a table for Saturday night. Our meal was superb. We ordered a wonderful chicken entree and a trout entree. All was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as all of the staff was warm and attentive. The next morning we had a terrific breakfast, which is included if you are staying at the Inn. This is a highly recommended destination if you are looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway.
Was here for a wedding. The rehearsal dinner on Friday was amazing and the wait staff was very attentive. The Wedding on Saturday was beautiful and again, the food and staff were fantastic. I did not stay overnight but would love to come back. Everything about the place was beautiful.
Came here for our wedding. Rooms are wonderful. The staff is great. The food is simply amazing! The grounds are enchanting with all the gardens and secret private places to enjoy each other.
We have been coming here for more than 20 years and it continues to take our breath away. An enchanted setting with gorgeous mountain views, spectacular food, and personal service from a friendly yet professional staff really sets this place apart. It is definitely worth the trip but be advised, once you stay here you will be drawn back year after year. It's just the feeling of peacefulness you get when you're here and the warm memories that stay with you long after you leave.
Beautiful and comfortable room, very friendly and accommodating staff, gorgeous gardens and grounds, great food. It was a great visit for our family, complete with two-year old. It’d be even better as a romantic getaway sans kid! You gotta try the homemade Chex mix in the Garden House - just like my mom used to make!
Lovely venue! Came here for a wedding and had an absolute blast. Everyone working there was so friendly. Best wedding food I've ever had, and the in-house band was fantastic. Location is gorgeous, the view is stunning.
Such a beautiful place to run away to! So relaxing and inviting! The Shrimp and Grits and Soy Ginger Salmon was amazing for dinner as was the beautiful delicious breakfast! Thank you Ed and Luci for the incredible personal TLC you give us each and every time! We will definitely be back! ♡
One of our favorite vacations ever! Loved all the nature surrounding this beautiful historical inn. The staff was amazing.
This was my second visit to this lovely Inn. I feel so comfortable here :) in fact I've already chosen to come back before the year is over this time. The food is exquisite and the staff is kind. I recommend it often
Stayed hear two nights in May and we really enjoyed it. The food was great and the rooms were nice. We stayed in one of the rooms with a queen bed so it was one of the less expensive rooms, and the room layout was similar to standard hotel room but the ambiance and decor was nice. The walls of the rooms were very thin though so you could hear just about everything in the rooms around you. I didn't mind it that much but it bothered my wife. I would take off half a star for that if I could.
The breakfast was really good and the we also had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was excellent. The dinner was a little pricey but it was good sized portions and for the quality and taste of the food I think it was worth it.
The grounds around the inn are really beautiful, however there aren't any mountain views but we knew that before our stay so we weren't expecting to have any great views. The inn is located between Clarkesville and Clayton (about 15-20 min drive to each) so that was nice as well. The staff was also very polite and helpful.
My colleagues and I stayed at Glen-Ella Springs for our annual retreat. It is beautiful, comfortable and clean. It is run by the most caring and customer service focused people that I have ever experienced at any hotel or resort. The property is beautiful, quaint and rustic. The food is amazingly delicious. It is prepared carefully, as we had several allergies within the group including Celiac Disease. The gluten-free meals were delicious and with no cross contamination! I love how the restaurant staff were very conscientious about the allergies in the group and communicated with us before each meal. We thoroughly our stay at Glen-Ella!!. The staff, meeting rooms (formal and informal), bedroom suites, and the restaurant deserve five-star ratings! I am a former airline crew member and I have stayed in some of the best and worst hotels and resorts. Glen-Ella is a hidden gem in the Georgia mountains that I plan to go back to and take my family!
Glen-Ella is a quaint and lovely gem hidden in the NE GA mountains. My date and I took pictures on the grounds before our dinner reservation because it is so beautiful. The salmon and the lamb both are to die for, and I would recommend the lemon sauce for the salmon. For dessert, I had quite possible the most delicious molten chocolate cake I've ever tasted. I've been going to Glen-Ella since I was little, and although I have never stayed at the inn I will always keep coming back.
