So well done. This was less than a ten minute drive from the airport so I had to check it out. Being an 80's child I never knew a whole lot about Ford and learned so much while here. The Oval Office and Cabinet room replicas are really awesome. It's a decent sized museum and probably would take 90 minutes if you actually read everything. hey also had an awesome music exhibit with instruments and clothes from major music stars. When leaving the museum you can visit the spot President and Betty Ford are buried just a 2 minute walk from the museum, which was very serene and beautiful. Parking outside was free. This is a must see.

The parking lot here is great. Its large and very easily accessible and easy to exit as well. The establishment is very well designed and interesting. The exhibits are nice. The staff is very professional as well. Worth a visit if you havent been.

I have been to many Presidential Libraries and Museums and this one is a real treat. The museum is well laid out and thorough. The grounds and gravesite are well maintained and respectful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The ticket/sales receptionist went out of her way to ensure a nice visit. The security guard even radioed another to keep open the gravesite open a few minutes late so we could pay our respects. Our baby had a great time though our the museum this past Sunday too. The only thing missing is information on President Ford's Golden Retriever named Liberty! An oversight that can be easily addressed.

I learned quite a bit coming here. Very informative, give yourself a couple of hours at least maybe more. The park outside along the river is nice too.

Extremely well done. The exhibits are very informative, concise and have large type for easy reading. If in Grand Rapids this is worth a visit. Plan to spend 1 to 1 1/2 hours there.

I enjoy learning about history -- even about history I lived through. In retrospect, it is great to learn about a president with integrity. Even though I can't agree with everything Mr. Ford did; I do agree that the country was better off for having him as president during a time of political upheaval. The exhibits are fair, balanced, honest, and interesting. Clear and factual. --- They could offer a few more imaginative gift items in the museum shop felt the selection was lacking.

I was impressed by the Gerald R. Ford Museum. From the beautiful landscapes to the layout of the building everything is nicely done. Everyone on staff is friendly and very helpful. I loved the different rooms and the artifacts. Just the right amount, neatly organized, and easy to follow. The electronic screens have loads of educational information. I highly recommend this place.

Tons of information to read and listen to. The building and set up of the museum is very pretty. The outside of this museum is expeshaly beautiful. You may need more time then you would think here if you are interested in learning about people. After 2 hours we only got through about 1/2 of the information and had almost no time at all at the gift store.

The updated core exhibit is beautiful an fascinating. Prepare for a complete story of GRF's life from birth to burial, including his accidental presidency, presented through a comprehensive variety of artifacts, interactive screens, photographs, and recreations of the Oval Office and cabinet Room. Give yourself a couple of hours to do this place justice. A variety of programs are available for children too, so make sure to check their website if you're planning on bringing younger visitors.

If you are a teacher, you need to talk with the GR Ford Foundation to help set up a classroom or grade level visit. After having hundreds of our students go down to the museum this year, the feedback has been that the trip was nothing short of exceptional. Thanks to Clare and her staff for being amazing with our kids!

I was a little disappointed with this preside tial museum, as I have been to a few. It seemed less a snapshot of the era, and more a monument to a perfect man, and an edifice to excessive patriotism. There was a public relations film for the Boy Scouts, which seemed out of place, and over-the-top America The Beautiful music that could be heard continually throughout the museum. And foot-tall superlative adjectives that supposedly describe this President. Lastly, finding this place was not easy, with the road construction and the GPS leading me to the service entrance. Instead of a building an advertisement to Ford and how he was the perfect cotizen, why not showcase the major events taking place at the time, and his struggles? A little humility wouldn't kill you. I actually enjoyed the first floor art exhibit more than the Ford exhibit. Unlike other museums, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Sorry.

I learned so much more about the Ford presidency - and about how honorable and decent Pres. Ford was as a man. What a difference with our politics today. I teared up at the point in the biographical film where they showed Pres. and Mrs. Ford welcoming Vietnamese refugee children personally - and where the film pointed out that Ford felt a commitment to not abandon those who had fought with the US. Again, what a contrast to our current president.

Enjoyable afternoon experience. Great way to interact and learn history. Walk the halls and tour the decade of President Gerald R Ford! Additionally they have beautiful grounds surrounding the museum that are worth making extra time to enjoy. Easy walking bridge to downtown Grand Rapids shopping and dining as well. This is on the GR Must See list!
