Pretty muchdon’t trust these reviews. Everyone has a different motive for what they write, but there is only one truth. And the truth is that this place is a tourist trap of the worst kind. Actually, according to a local historian it is not even the real fountain of youth, which is supposedly hidden near the parking lot of a local hotel. Don’t like the truth? Well, go ahead and let them take your money fool.

Drove here all the way from Orland with our dog my wife and i..on the website it says the place closed at 6 and we arrived at 5 o'clock on the dot and they said they are closed even when we came through the gate and there was someone that worked there standing right there when we drove in the place..as we left the gate was closed..they should have let us stay and experience the thing! Me and my wife are not happy at all.

The Fountain of Youth is a fun touristy stop. They have a small concession stand by the entrance so I recommend starting the tour with a beer. Drinking from the fountain of youth is a fun photo op, and from there there are a couple small presentations about Spanish and Florida history. It was fun to see the park's peacocks. They have a small recreated Indian village as well as a cannon that a guy in costume shoots off once an hour. The Fountain of Youth won't blow you away, but I thought it was worth the stop if you enjoy touristy attractions.
