This is a great place to eat if you have deep pockets. The food and atmosphere are upscale, the servers were polite and over all a very nice dinning experience. I will be going back for those special occasions. Pretty pricey though.

Positively the best steakhouse in Jacksonville! Each visit is better than the last. The restaurant is clean, open, and inviting. From the moment you walk in, you get the best service. You are greeted with a smile and pleasant attitude and normally asked to wait a moment while your table is prepared. You are then walked to your table and the history of the restaurant is explained. Once seated the menu and bar menu are presented. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Everything is a la carte, so you're able to order exactly what you want. They change the salads and sides up depending on the season, I highly recommend the creamed corn with pimento during the winter season. Try to save room for desert! The creme brulé is excellent! Reservations are recommended but not required. They have an excellent happy hour at the bar during the week, you don't need a reservation for that. The happy hour has both bar and food specials. Overall the quality of food, the great service and atmosphere are hands above more expensive places, such as 3Forks.

Great steak! I'm fairly picky on my steaks, but these guys did it just right. Fire grill that you can see and smell from the dining area which was pretty great. I don't remember what kind of wood they were using for the extra taste, but it worked very well. Perfect searing on a medium-rare fillet (perfect throughout). The sides were also pretty good. Speaking of, the asparagus was HUGE. Probably the width of an adult thumb. Not a bad thing, it was just enormous.
Sides are to share like most comparable steakhouses.
The drink list was kind of small, but their specialty cocktails were pretty good so you may just want to stick to that.
Overall, a great experience with great staff and a pretty good ambiance.response / report this review -

This is a top-notch steak house. Their food is outstanding well prepared and fresh. The only thing that exceeds the quality of their food is the top notch service you will be given from there well trained staff. this location has an outstanding wine selection that will meet everybody's taste and or budget. also they have private dining rooms and meeting rooms to meet all your business needs. This is a top-notch steak house in the Jacksonville area and should not be missed

Great spot. John the bartender was very knowledgeable and showed us the specials first thing. We will be back. The place was clean and smelled great!

Moving to Mandarin soon and have always wanted to try The Tree -- finally did tonight. The food was better than I expected, the wine list was serviceable, and the service was excellent. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back regularly.

Excellent for a nice date night. The caliber of service was excellent and our meals were delicious and presented nicely. Not quite as stuffy as other fine steakhouses around Jacksonville. The manager was present and helpful to the wait staff whenever there was a rush

The service was excellent the food divine I was impressed from the word go the need tips were succulent with a tart but sweet sauce.. the risotto was amazing cheesy and good.. the jumbo shrimp lightly breaded and cooked well I was amazed even with the bread pudding as a desert heaven

I really enjoy the atmosphere and the food. It is a steak house but I also enjoy the seafood items on the menu. My favorite meal is the scallop risotto. Dinner prices start around $30 and the food is well worth it. This place is perfect for date night. We brought our kids once, but felt a little out of place because the place is pretty quiet and they weren't. Overall it's a very nice place.

After years of the best food and service, I'm sorry the Tree has fallen so far. Steaks were not good, not cooked as ordered, loaded with fat
The prices have almost doubled. This wouldn't be a problem except now for poor food, poor service way overpriced.
No more salad bar, either, which was wonderful.
I'm so very disappointed in food quality.

I can't fathom how this place is still in buisness. I guess if you have money to spend and like a pieces of raw meat, it is a great place. You get a better experience at LonghornsI will not even mention how many times I had to send my steak back to get it medium well

We already had dinner at Tree Steakhouse years ago. It was good and we invited friends last Tuesday night. We were impressed about their construction work, it looked much better, but I was wondering why there were no other guests. This place should be crowded. The waitress was nice but inexperienced, what wasn't the worse thing. We looked at the menu and were impressed about their new prices as well. I ordered one Margarita for $10 and got 8 ounce glass full with ice cubes and didn't taste anything else. A steak with 2 side dishes for another $50. They just doubled all prices. I already ate in many famous restaurants all over the world and thought I surely can expect a world class cuisine, but I was wrong. What we got was a disappointment and a big flop. The potatoes looked nice, but they were warmed up and without any taste, the onions were cold, the veggie raw. My steak was good, the meatloaf without any flavor and another steak was cooked, not grilled. Hard to believe that we paid a fortune without any comment, but we didn't want to make any scene. One for sure I will never ever say anything good about that place.

This was a surprise date and first time here.The staff was incredible from the second that we walked in. Our waitress Ashley was so attentive and knew the menu well. We never had to ask for a refill or anything for that matter. The crew looked happy and everyone helped where needed. Even the manager was happy to help and asked how our visit went! The food was so delicious! My husband got steak, of course and I got the meatloaf with our waitress Ashley's recommendation! BEST MEATLOAF EVER! We don't usually go to more expensive restaurants because we've never been impressed enough to spend that kind of money. I read a lot of good reviews and decided it was time to try The Tree and we were not disappointed! WE WILL BE BACK! Thanks for such good service and amazing food!
