My boyfriend and I visit often at least once or twice a month. This is my FAVORITE restaurant the food is ALWAYS OUTSTANDING the service is ALWAYS ON POINT. My favorite waiter is Pablo but we haven’t seen him lately ;(. But all the others are GREAT!!!! We recommend this restaurant every time it comes up in conversation. Susan keep up the great work

This restaurant was one of my worst dining experiences I have ever had. All the food just tasted off, the flavors were wrong and did not compliment one another. We ordered a wide variety of items from the menu, many appetizers and entrees. The beef type stew dish that I ordered for an entree was horribly over-salted and tasted like multiple cans of the saltiest cans of fake gravy were poured over beef and then served haphazardly with slimy pasta. I can not recommend this place to anyone. Even the salads and olives had the strangest house dressing that combined fennel seed and licorice flavoring that made it nearly inedible. I wish I could rate this 0 Stars out of 10. It really ruined the end of a fun weekend with friends.

This place was great. We went downtown when it was packed and of course we went hungry. So by the time we got downtown we were starving and couldn't find a place anywhere. We pretty much stumbled across this place and the host heard me telling my husband that I was pretty hungry and I don't think I could wait (I started to feel a little sick). He immediately told us to wait, went inside, came back out and had actually readied a table for us even though the seating had been full. Amazing people! The food was delicious!!! The veal was out of this world. Only small thing. It was pretty warm in there lol Would have been nice for an open door or some fans going to get the air flowing a little bit. Loved the atmosphere.

I had my wedding reception here this past weekend and it was perfect! The food was absolutely delicious and the courtyard dining provided a great intimate atmosphere. They were extremely helpful and accomodating to make sure every detail was taken care of. My guests were all very impressed with the food and all the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

Great food, well prepared by chef ( owner), lovely presented. Great ambiance in great setting -- in an old (and beautifully restored building in the middle of the old downtown! There is also a lovely enclosed garden as part of the restaurant! Wonderful for outdoor dining. Also outstanding wine list! This is my FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN ALL OF ST. AUGUSTINE'S DOWNTOWN. PARKING AVAILABLE IN BACK! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

This is a late post. We first visited La Pentola in the summer of '15. We stumbled across it one evening after moving to the area and were told of a 45 minute wait (no reservation), went to Casa Maya and wondered what we missed. Later, after a successful visit, this became our favorite in St Augustine! In July of '16 we invited my parents and foreign friends to dinner and were not disappointed. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my picky Mother by sautéing extra mushrooms for her pasta dish. My Dad loved everything and it was probably his last great meal! Cozy place with history and great ambiance. The specials are always good! Pricey. But as Dad always said, great places are.

Best food in the downtown St Augustine area. Cannot be missed. The parking isn't easy but if you are willing to walk for 5 minutes there are several easier parking options nearby. Must try - the trio of desserts.

Me and my wife have visited lots of restaurants but ver seldomly we come across a restaurant where the food tastes so amazing that we will not forget for the rest of our lives. We walked in this restaurant not knowing anything about it. The menu had enough options for every kind of taste but not any more than what the chef can handle. Making sure that every plate would have the attention it deserved and would be special. My wife and I ordered the French onion soup (a usual favorite) I also got a beef a la bourguignon. The soup was perfectly seasoned and was the best French onion soup I have had in the US. The plate came with a house salad. Nothing fancy but still delicious the greens tasted so fresh that you could feel it my dressing was a gorgonzola vinaigrette made in house by the owner a very nice German lady. Best gorgonzola dressing I have ever tasted. Then after lots of conversation about the awesome food with my wife and kids my beef came and of course it was delicious. It had pieces of bacon that gave the plate not only extra flavor but also a little crunchines. Had never had a beef ala bourguignone like this. It was espectacular the steak was so soft and juice it was ridiculously delicious. Service was great and we enjoyed every minute. Food was not rushed and we did not mind waiting and having a great conversation with our 12 year olds explaining to them why sometimes you need to wait for great things. In this case great food.

Stumbled upon this charming restaurant by accident, and it was the best find ever! Everything our table had was unique, delicious and presented so well. If your are looking for a 5 star Spanish inspired meal, go here! The staff was fantastic and very knowledgeable, I would recommend this place over Columbia any day.

Decided to stop in for a snack. Great food and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere in the courtyard. I'm a native Floridian and have had ceviche prepared numerous ways. Theirs is the best hands down! Go here if you want good food and don't want a tourist trap!

Stopped in for lunch in this eclectic Spanish themed restaurant. Has got to be one of the better spots in St Augustine. Amazingly the run of the mill lunch spots with burgers and fried seafood fill up fast but if you have a more refined taste, looking for a white tablecloth and if you are foodie, I would put this one on your list. Fab Sangria too. The chef is also the owner along with his wife who is always out making sure guests enjoy themselves.
Nice little courtyard for outdoor dining.
