Top notch state park and museum. Lots of work and upkeep go into maintaining the park.

Cool historic site. Didn't have a clue what it was till I went there. Also, I saw some spicy sports cars on the drive back home!

Nice little historical park where we got to see the great eclipse. We found it the day of and even though it was crowded, everyone was friendly. On days without a major event, there is also a lot to do, i including hiking, boating and fishing.

It's just a awesome place it'd on the lake U can take the whole family and friends and have a picnic n they also have grill's and walk through the old fort and look in the building's

I go hiking here and the trails are awesome. My kid went to summer Jr Ranger Camp here also. That was amazing. The staff are wonderful and always friendly.

History, fishing, picnicking, walking, and hiking. Went here on a whim, and was quite surprised. The fort is pretty well maintained and most of the buildings are open even when the visitors center is not. It was nice to walk around and see everything. Had a great time just walking around the grounds and seeing everything.

I love walking the trails at the Fort with its beautiful lake and mountain views. There are plenty of picnic tables and grills if you want to bring your family for an afternoon of fun and relaxation in a wonderfully shaded outdoor surroundings. You can also go inside and learn some history about the Fort in a short film that the rangers will gladly play for you. Your family can roam through the buildings in the Fort area and see barracks where soldiers slept, the medical building and much more. Great place to decompress.

We took our grandson today for his first time. The reenactors were great. Answering questions from a 50 year old and a 4 year old. When my husband got ill from the heat, they were right there with water, a hand fan and golf cart to take him back to the entrance. Our grandson wants to go back, so, we will do all we can to make that happen, and prepare better so we can enjoy all of it.

I go hiking here and the trails are awesome. My kid wrnt to summer Jr Ranger Camp here also. That was amazing. The staff are wonderful and always friendly.

It's an awesome place for picknicks, hiking, swimming. Just a peaceful relaxing safe place.

Great park. Surprised at the great displays and historical artifacts preserved here. The rangers are super nice and very knowledgeable.

If you're going to ONLY go to the fort you'll need an hour but really you could spend the day here doing other things.
The park has great spots for fishing, lots of spots to grill sometimes those two are in the same place.
The paths are well made and wonderfully shaded a great relaxing walk.
The visitor center was really interesting and the staff was helpful. The fort was wonderfully recreated and also great place to walk around.response / report this review
