This is our first night here and we are off to a bad start. The renovations are beautiful and unique. It transports you to a beach location, but the room we booked, apparently has “lagoon views” but in reality are views of a rattan/ bamboo wall that covers the A/C unit. Knowing this is what they call a lagoon view we would have booked a pool view that was less expensive. When we approached the front desk we were told they couldn’t do anything for us. It’s a shame , don’t fall for the false advertising of the “lagoon views”.
While we did not stay the night here, my friend came from out of town and we booked a cabana for our two daughters and ourselves through resort pass website. When we arrived we were told that the site had overbooked the cabanas and we would not be getting one that day. Our money was refunded and we still received the best treatment ever, our server Lexi was attentive and so sweet! We still received the amenities that we would have gotten with the cabana and our daughters had so much fun! When we asked for our check they had comped everything! The pool area and lobby are gorgeous and the customer service was top notch. We will definitely go back soon!
We stayed here one summer and really enjoyed it. There are a few nice bars around the resort and the pool is nice to go hang out and relax at. There were bachelorette parties and such staying here so it had a nice, party vibe but wasn't too crazy. Great location right near all the action in Scottsdale and right across from the mall.
Stopped by for dinner the other night with a small group, Will was our server, probably one of the top five restaurant servers I had ever had. After he went through the menu I wanted one of everything. As the food came by, it was amazing, I had the fried plantains with an amazing black bean sauce as well as the ceviche. For dinner I went for the gaucho steak, also a great dish. The only thing better than the food was our server Will. Great job guys!
I stayed at the resort, I was using the pool and jacuzzi and noticed that the pool area need so major attention tiles inside the pool area was missing or cracked, brown looking rust stains on the steps of the pool and on the floor of the pool, jacuzzi had cracks around the tile and walls of the jacuzzi. Also noticed several planters boxes had cracks and sections of the planters wall were coming apart. I was not impressed in the evenings with house keeping or who ever is responsible in picking up people left over beer bottles and wine glasses. My family and i wanted to sit by a fire pit and there was beer bottles and Alcohol glasses all over the tables in around the fire pit, we sat there for almost 3 hours just talking before anyone came to pick up any of the bottles and glasses or trash We try to go to a different area but we notice like several areas were like this. I also notice walking around the resort inside and out when passing staff Or any of the young ladies up at the concierge wasn't really that friendly and didn't have smiles on their faces which seemed to be a little disturbing We passed a few different and please out on the grounds around the grounds and none of them was saying Hi can I help you or can i get you anything. nothing from the staff to me or my family I will say this is a very pretty resort and enjoyed the rooms and the beauty of it minus the few repairs, like i said mostly around the pool and jacuzzi area. It was a great looking place.. but the employees need to be more friendlier with smiles. It draws more people to come back and stay there.
My husband and I attended for a holiday party. It was a very good time. The buffet style food all tasted good staff was friendly and professional. The hotel grounds were gorgeous as well as the lobby. My husband and I discussed a staycation there after we left
Formerly Fire Sky, they have kept most of the feel, yet putting a Cuban twist to the decor. The facilities are the same layout though. Still very inviting in the lobby with lounge areas and a bar.
Attended a office Christmas party. Resort looked well maintained. Lot of parking area. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the premises. The orange ball room is where my Christmas party was hosted. It was big enough to hold around a hundred people. Food served there was tasty. I would like to visit again to check the rooms and the pool which looked good from outside.
Had a great experience here overall. The facilities are very well-maintained and feature amenities including a sizable pool area and a 24 hour fitness centre.
The rooms themselves are spacious and cozy - I was particularly impressed with the very comfortable bed. The cleaning staff are very prompt and do a great job, and the front-desk staff were helpful and friendly.
The location itself is great, too, being in close proximity to a huge array of very tasty and trendy restaurants just blocks away. As a final plus, I saw bunnies on the grounds at night. Just super all around!
This resort seems more like a 3.5 star resort on a really good piece of land. Right near the action of Old Town Scottsdale is a bonus if you are partying with friends or shopping, but the rooms are not what most people would consider "luxury". We stayed Friday, Saturday & Sunday and they put a $425 deposit/hold on our Visa! We had no ice bucket, the blow dryer didn't work and you can hear every word your neighbors say and hallway conversations echo in your room. However, The pool is beautiful and customer service is top notch.
The atmosphere was amazing! The front desk, house keepers, and staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel is located right in the heart of Scottsdale. When booking your room book closer to the pool or garden area for a better view and also keep in mind the hotel fees when booking through a third party
Older hotel but definitely remodeled very modern. Sandy pool was amazing, drinks were good, but very overpriced. Staff is super friendly. Property is well maintained. Overall very happy with our stay
We were just there this week. While our stay started off great come nightfall it was a different story. First, our toilet was clogged. It was fixed in a timely manner but when the maintenance man was done he wiped all of the water that just came out of the toilet with toilet paper as if it was clean enough. So, I called down and they sent someone to clean. Again, very timely and no complaints about the cleaning. Fast forward to my shower. I turned the knob all the way over to cold drop the towel and jump in. Burn is what I felt. Come to find out the knob had been reversed. Yes some will say I should've checked the water but when you're staying at a " 4 star resort" you expect everything to work properly. All we were offered for my burn and experience was lunch and now the charge for our "complimentary lunch" is on my card. I will definitely not be telling anyone to go there.
Nice rooms, soft beds, awesome pool. The spa is really nice and offers a good range of services. The staff was very friendly. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The shuttle doesn't go to the airport, it sticks in a 3 mile radius (what's the point?!). For the cost, I was expecting more amenities - like complimentary breakfast or even a coffee maker in the room. Oh and there is an additional resort fee they charge you per day after you check in - not sure what you get for it because you have to pay for everything.
We travel a lot and we stayed at several different resorts in Arizona during this trip. The Scott was a little disappointing. Don't get us wrong - nice resort - beautiful lobby and nice pool area Staff is friendly and masseuse was great. Rooms are only decent. Downside: there's a resort fee to pay yet there's no coffee pot in the room (yes free coffee in lobby but who wants to walk to lobby at 6 am in their PJ's for coffee), there's no free water in the rooms ($7/bottle is asinine) and the overpriced snacks in each room do not look fresh at all. The view of the parking lot is not very appealing, so overall you're not getting much for the price. We found other resorts we liked better that were less expensive and had more amenities.
Okay this is not over a four star resort. I was so excited to stay here. We came and our room smelled so bad so we called the front desk and they said to move rooms we would have to pay extra. The pool isn't bad and the rooms aren't horrible looking but the worst thing are the beds!! They are so uncomfortable and hard we haven't been able to sleep good since we got here. Not a place I would come back to! More like a three star that has a fancy website.
First, the use of Resort in the name is not warranted. This is basically a moderate level hotel with two outdoor pools. They should give a bonus to the web site designer for making an average hotel look like a four star. Second, went there over the final four and the rooms were WAY over priced. The property as a whole is outdated and lacking in many ways. Nice fire pits, but that is about it. This is a three star hotel priced far higher. Lastly, charging a $29 daily resort fee is outlandish when you are NOT a resort.
The Scott is one of my favorite, most relaxing places in earth. I'm not sure what all the hate is about. We recently visited The Scott as part of a family Spring Training vacation. The room, while older in style, was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful pool view. The grounds are not traditional resort with sprawling pool space after pool space - it's more of a rectangle of two-story 50s style motel buildings with a great courtyard pool and lagoon in the middle, but the space is amazingly beautiful and comfortable. Great touches like water fountains and outdoor fireplaces provide places to enjoy the cool Arizona night. And the lobby building is spectacular. I can't wait to see what The Scott will look like once they do renovate all of the rooms and grounds - I'm sure it will be even more incredible.
We stayed three nights at the Courtyard and had breakfast there the first day. For a small Bistro the food was excellent. The service was quick and just as requested.
The room had adequate electrical outlets - which many do not have. The bed was comfortable and sheets and cover were very nice.
