you'll find the classic Super 8 style with a clean bed and bathroom. The good aspect of this one is the location, it is really near the Diamondback Stadium and the Basketball Arena (walking distance). So you can stay here and forget about parking lots if you want to see a good live game.
There is also a gas station with a convenience store right across the street.
The price is cheap if you compare it to the rest of the hotels in the area.
We stayed there last weekend woke up at 4 AM because there's bedbugs in our bed I got up went to the front desk told the lady about it she was really nice and refund our money, she gave us another room and told me to leave our stuff there they were going to put in the dryer that morning I get up go to the laundry room and find all my stuff damaged everything was melted I had medication in my bag which they put everything in the dryer just like that never took anything out I had a brand new cologne that I bought my husband I went and talk to the manager about it I had new clothes in there for my kids that we bought at Ross and he tells me that where I brought the bedbugs from Ross !!!! So rude and disgusting! He said he was going to refund my money and I still don't have a penny in my bank he only gave me $40 for all the damage inside my bags which I think that's really unfair most of the stuff was brand new, And till know I haven't gotten my money back that includes the $40.00!!! NEVER AGAIN WOULD WE STAY THERE!
Owner likes to argue with customers. In front of other customers. But has great staff working for him.
Downtown Phoenix looks very nice at night. I had a very nice stay at this Super 8 the quality A plus. I was very amazed at the room i was in because of the area it was in. The lady at the front desk was awesome and very polite. I had no complaints at all, I would definitely stay again.
Great room! Very nice furnishings. Close to down town. Wonderful room service options. Great Italian delivery menu. Excellent room prices.
I stayed here over 4th of July weekend. The room was dirty. The bedspread had a stain which was found to be oil. It was enough to transfer onto anything that touched it so we had to remove it. Once that layer was removed from the bed we found blood spatter on the sheets, pillows and tan blanket. There was also tissue paper shoved in the eye hole on the door. The place looked like it had not been cleaned. I let the front desk know in which I was not even given an apology about the cleanliness of the room. I left my phone number for the manager and did not receive a call. I was there a few days later and tried to speak to the manager again leaving my phone number again, did not receive a call. I contacted the company to which I was told I needed to speak with the property manager. I called again and left my number and have yet to receive a call back. Will not recommend to any one.
First of all the room was only semi clean, the room phone didn't work and they charged me 221.45 for two days stay. The pool was nice towels were clean but the trash on the floor really bothered me. Otherwise it was an OK stay.
Location perfect for downtown events. Very clean! Staff helpful with tourist questions. Was able to get a room even with massive event happening in town
Sheets did not fit the bed
Clogged drains
Thank goodness it was only overnight
Close to airport was good
I recently started here on 4/8 and checked out on 4/10. At first when checking in the older male working told me the my credit/debit card could be charged not only once, but maybe three times! As someone who's on a limited budget it would have overdrafted my account and ruin my weekend, I placed this reservation months in advanced and was never told about the possibility that I could be charged 3 times!! But wait folks. there's more! So after getting my key I went to go to my room and relax a little as it was getting hot out, the door would not open. I tried for a good five minutes until I went to the office and asked for help. I finally got in and wanted to get in the shower, I get into the bathroom and see that there pipe for the shower was exposed, mind you I paid $115 a night. At this point I'm getting a little annoyed but maybe I was being to critical, well after losing my cell phone at the event I came back to my room to use the phone provided by super 8. Well that was no help cuz the phone didn't work, the saving grace in that was the lady up front was a nice older lady and so I let it pass. Until the second night of my stay, I had two guest over and they weren't staying long just four a couple drinks. I was making calls in order to retrieve my phone and that's when my guests told me that a young transgender employee came up to them and told them to shut up or get kicked out. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! There were other people outside as well and they told me and my guests that they weren't loud, so when I went to confront the trans employee they told me that the two gentlemen were the ones complaining, a lie i caught the employee in as I just spoke to them. Then I told the trans employee that my room had no working phone, pipes exposed in the shower something I would expect from the other hotels on Van Buren for way less than 115 dollars a night! And the icing on the cake was when I went to sleep and seen the stained sheets on the bed spread. I've stayed here more than four times and never been treated like this, I will not be returning as a guest. I will pay the extra costs for a stay at the Sheraton or embassy suites. I wish I had my phone to take pictures but as most of the reviews on this location show I don't need too. Stay here at your own risk.
Stayed 3 nights. Great location and price. Too cold for the pool, but it looked good. Walkable to all that Phoenix has to offer: museums, bars, restaurants, stadiums. People who rate this poorly don't know what a "motel" is. Plus, the staff was friendly and breakfast was nice and unexpected.
The staff was great, but I can't say the same about the rooms. We got there after midnight so we were looking for somewhere to just sleep and take a shower, could not do either. There was noise from outside and our neighbors pretty much all night. The rooms were not clean, the pillows smell like I would guess what the last guest, furniture was stained, and there was no way I was going to take a shower in that tub. Was really disappointed, since about a month ago I stayed at the Holiday Inn in a suite for less than what we payed here. Unfortunately they were booked for the night. Will most definitely not stay here again.
I have been, here several times. I have been wheel chair bound, But hopefully in, the near future, this will become history. The staff here, is awesome. They work hard, to see, that, every one is, happy safe and protected. I give them, a thumbs up.
