Our 3 year old chocolate lab is very energetic, so we were looking for some additional training classes and came across Finger Lakes Pet Resort last year. We were so pleased with our first family manners class that we continued on with another class (loose leash walking). Our trainer Stephanie was incredibly informative and very patient. All of the staff at FL Pet from trainers to office staff have been nothing but pleasant and helpful. We also have family members who have boarded there in the past and have been very satisfied. We just booked our first stay and so appreciate the peace of mind that FL Pet Resort provides. You can tell they take great pride in what they do!

We had never boarded our 8 month old puppy before, so I was nervous to leave him anywhere. It was like Reese had his own vacation while we were away! We came home to a happy dog who had been well-loved and cared for in our absence. I will definitely be using them again! I would highly recommend Finger Lakes Pet Resort to anyone to board their dog - they treat your pets as if they are their own!

At any given time we have 2 dogs at our house. One is our own and the other is a foster dog. Our own has completed the puppy training school and is a regular for boarding. Our foster is not only a boarder she LOVES doggie daycare. Doggie daycare is new for us, and there are not enough nice things I can say about the services offered and the way my dogs are treated. The staff are so welcoming and loving to our 4-legged family members. I would not take them anywhere else.

We just got our dog 2 months ago and we have taking him to Finger Lakes Pet Resort for both Day Care and for Boarding on numerous occasions. He is well taken care of and loved by the staff. We love that he is able to run and play with other dogs both inside and outside. We highly recommend Finger Lakes to both our friends and family.

Cannot say enough good things about Finger Lakes Pet!! We have a very shy/anxious dog and the staff there is wonderful with her! We've done several private training lessons, day care stays and boarding. Our dog loves it and it's one of the few places she runs into very quickly every time we go because she's so excited!! The staff is great! Always willing to help and give updates on dog progress. Highly recommended!!

After having had bad experiences at other dog daycare facilities, I am so happy to have found this place. They do not run the dogs all day to complete exhaustion. Instead I feel relief knowing my dog gets equal parts play and rest. Additionally, he always gets fed when I bring food without an extra charge. If you have a dog like mine that needs a balanced experience, this is the place!

I initially started bringing my dog to Finger Lakes Pet Resort about 2.5 years ago for private training with Paula to help him with his fear of people he's not familiar with. She has helped us so so much in making him a more confident, relaxed and happy dog using positive reinforcement training. It took a lot of work and dedication on my part but the transformation I have seen in him is unbelievable and totally worth it! Aside from private training, he has boarded there several times and continues to do day stays relatively routinely. It's so comforting to know that all of the staff loves each dog like their own and they're not shy to tell me how much they love him. He could have been a behavior case but they really worked with us (and continue to) in order to make his stays successful. It's a huge relief to know that my dog has a safe place to go when needed, as he's not a dog that is okay with just anyone. My dog walks in there happy and excited and comes home very happy and tired! Thank you Finger Lakes Pet Resort for loving Cosby as much as I do!

My parents have been customers for nearly 15 years and are told suddenly that their dog has been banned. No warning. No nothing. It's their "policy" that any dog who bites another cannot come back, yet this didn't take into account several things: 1. The bite occurred while the two dogs were playing. 2. My parents' dog is a 15-month-old puppy, and puppies can nip. 3. The staff there wasn't watching the dogs close enough. What's more is that they allowed my parents to continue to spend money there, including a $600 boarding visit, for two weeks before they were told suddenly their dog has been banned, all while knowing they were going to ban the dog. The new owners suck and the place has gone downhill. It used to be such a friendly place but now the staff is cold and uncaring. Hope they enjoy the extra money they rung out of my parents before they kicked them to the curb. My parents are heartbroken over this. Loyalty means nothing anymore, especially at this place.

We really enjoy the classes we've taken at FLPR. Our instructor is fun and makes the exercises clear and simple. She really understands dog behavior and does a great job of breaking things down just right for each student. Thank you!

We have been taking our dog Jake to Finger Lakes Pet Resort for more than 4 years, since he was 3 months old. I can't say enough good things about the owners, groomer, desk staff, daycare staff and trainers. Jake has issues with anxiety and all the employees are wonderful with him. He loves everyone at the facility. He has boarded there, done day stays and is in daycare full time. He has gone through several levels of training along with one on one training sessions with 3 different trainers. They are all wonderful, very professional and experts in their field. I highly recommend this facility.

I can not say enough good things about Finger Lakes Pet Resort, especially Tricia Kennedy. My female standard poodle, Miss Yvette and I have been taking both group and private lessons with Trish. When Miss Yvette first started, she was very shy and would not allow anyone to come close to her. Over the past 18 months, Miss Yvette has gained confidence, to a degree, I never thought possible.
One of Trish's greatest gifts is the ability not only to recognize but appreciate the uniqueness of every dog she works with. I truly believe it is this trait that allowed her to progress Miss Yvette to where she is today.
I am sure that I recommend Finger Lakes Pet Resort, especially Trish to any dog owner I know, and in some instances, overhear, state that they need an outstanding trainer!response / report this review -

We are a busy young family in desperate need of dog training. Spoke with Mary about getting started as soon as possible. She suggested Tricia so I spoke with her and scheduled an appointment. I left work early, drove home to change and get my dog and then drove 45 minutes back to Farmington to be on time (actually early) for our lesson only to be told by the girl at the desk when I got inside that "Tricia forgot to put the lesson on her calendar and she is already home." While they did offer to give me my next lesson for free I would rather find a place that cares about their customers time and busy schedules. The best part of all of this is I saw Tricia leaving as I had pulled in. At the time, I didn't think anything of it as I was 25 minutes early I figured maybe she was taking a quick break and didn't want to bother her. So instead, I took my dog to the bathroom and then went inside it had been maybe 10 minutes after Tricia left but that is to much to ask of a person to come back and keep their commitment. Clearly if you choose to bring your dog here, you just need to be aware their time is much more valuable than yours.
