We we're at a Holiday party at the Greemhouse room and it was absolutely wonderful. The workers were great and the food and beers were delicious. We plan on having it again there next year and afterwards we went downstairs to the bar and had more beers. Such a great time had by all. Next time we will be staying there overnight as our friends did.

We stayed in a junior suite, the room was gorgeous, bed was incredibly comfortable, but there was an event above us that shook our room until midnight, the heat didn't work, and the shower barely got warm. The staff tried to help, but it wasn't worth us changing rooms at 11 PM. They did discount the room. I would and may give the Hotel Lafayette another shot. The Pan American Grill and Brewer has good food and decent beer, I stop there for a drink every time I'm in Buffalo because of the decor.

I went to The Lafayette for a wedding at the Green House room. The space was intimate yet still roomy and provided for a great atmosphere during the reception. Food was also great and the portions were huge. Despite there being other receptions going on the parties were separated nicely and gave us the feel of our own separate space for the event.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here on June 10 2017, in the Grand Ball Room. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and was the perfect setting for our wedding. We had about 220 guests and they fit very comfortably in the room. We also had an additional smaller room that was connected to the side of the ballroom that was used for our cocktail hour and housed the bars for the duration of the reception. We had plenty of room for all of our guests to fit on the dance floor, and the service the entire wedding was top-notch. While the room is ran by the restaurant and banquet facility Aqua, so I am not sure who would take credit for the food, the food was incredible and we still have guests raving about it.
As for the rooms, I stayed in one of the suites for the night before the wedding and the night of the reception. My room had a kitchen, a small living room area, a decent sized bathroom, and a small bedroom. It was perfect. We used this room to get ready in the day of the wedding and there was more than enough room for me, my four bridesmaids, my mom, the photographer, two people doing hair, and two people doing makeup; as well as enough space for everyones' things. For the guests who also stayed at the hotel, the hotel did allow me to reserve a block of hotel rooms at a discounted price for my guests. They allowed you to book 10 rooms at a time and once those were filled you were able to reserve 10 more. The guests who stayed said the rooms were perfect as well.
Everyone at the hotel made this wedding a night to remember for a lifetime and their continued excellent service over the two days we were there was unwavering. I would recommend this hotel for out of town guests to stay at as well as anyone looking for a venue for any sort of party, weddings included.
The only con, which actually did not bother us at all, is that their prices for a one night stay are a little high. So for anyone looking for a "cheap" night somewhere would not want to look at staying here.response / report this review -

Went for an event recently and there was an open bar where the bar tenders made very strong drinks. Normally I wouldnt complain but these drinks were actually hard to drink because how strong it was and since it was open bar it was all cheap alcohol. Food was decent. Steak could've been done more for my liking. Bathrooms and other facilities were clean and looked well kept but old.

I haven't stayed there but I've made use of the amenities on the first floor. I've enjoyed drinks at the former Pan Am bar and am a regular customer of Public Espresso at their bar in the lobby. I'm very excited to see what Public does with the space they're moving into!

Attended for a professional meeting and award ceremony. Staff was friendly and polite. Food was decent. The building itself is a big draw, interesting architecture and furniture. Would certainly go back.

Very nice hotel located in the city of buffalo. All of the staff were friendly. Rooms are big with many features, such as a refrigerator, microwave, and multiple drawers to put your stuff in. The beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. My only real compaint is the pull out sofa bed. If you plan on sleeping on this, simply don't. It's extremely uncomfortable, as it's hard as a rock and you can feel the springs against your body. However, as long as you don't sleep on the pull out sofa bed, this is a great hotel to stay at.

Went to a wedding here and overall thought it was nice! Food was good, wait staff did a good job, and everything went smoothly. My friend forgot his credit card at the hotel bar and when he went to get it back he tried to pay his tab the bartender wouldn't let him. He said it's on the house because everyone tipped so well.

We were there for a wedding. Everything was gorgeous, clean, inviting, and we had a fantastic time! I have food allergies and the head server was all over it. Someone brought me a plate of food and she came running over to tell me it wasn't mine and not to eat it, swapping that plate for my special food (which was delicious!) And reminding the other servers of my allergies. The bathrooms were right outside the ballroom which was awesomeno wandering around to find them. There was free valet parking for wedding guests (not sure if that's something they do normally?) So it was nice not needing to walk a few blocks in heels and achy feet at the end of the night. As a photographer, I hope to book weddings here now that I've been a guest and had a pleasant experience!

Was there for a wedding, the venue was absolutely beautiful! Staff were very kind as well. Food was delicious and huge portions! Loved that the ceremony was held outside and the reception was inside, but all in the same building! Great place to have a wedding.

Attended the Great Gatsby event. The hors d'oeuvres were excellent and because we paid a little extra the liquor selection was adequate. The type of alcohol included with the standard ticket was nearly unbearable. The entertainment was good and it wasn't too crowded. Overall a good night!

I had an absolute amazing experience here tonight! I'm a vegan and they didn't have anything that I could eat at the reception so mike the server and the kitchen went out of their way to make me a special dish! I am beyond thankful for How generous they are here and what an awesome customer service crew!

Always consistently clean with friendly, accommodating staff. Great value for the money. Close to downtown restaurants. Not crazy about the $20 daily fee to park my car. Other than that, I love this hotel and always stay here when i visit my family in Buffalo.
