It was closed for the season. Otherwise it looks like a fun attraction.
A service that is also historic and scenic.. A pleasant surprise!
The elevator part is a little scary, but it's an
unique and historic experience that pays off with one of the best views of the city. Open until late, so you can come up in the evening and see the city lights on display. Friendly attendants, clean and well-maintained. Be sure to check this place out while in Dubuque, and ask a bit about it's history.
Amazing view of the city. Unique and quick thing to do in the town of Dubuque. We went up before dinner around Christmas time and they had all their lights up which was adorable! It was amazing to see all the lights of the town below. I'm sure it would be a great view during the day as well!
Very neat historical site. It was smaller than I expected but it was so neat and my little boys loved it!
A great overlook of the city, and a unique ride all for $3.00 round trip. What's not to like. It's been around for years and has a great story
Easy choice to spend $3 for a unique experience and a great view. Nothing of note at the top but the view and a soda vending machine. If you're in Dubuque, don't miss it.
This was really nice, but be careful with Google maps. It has us walk up the hill, which we were planning on taking the elevator up (we came up from the side, so we didn't even know we had walked up to the top until we were already at the top). We still took the elevator down, but we had already done the hard part ourselves. The views are lovely, and it is a fun experience, especially for the price ($3 roundtrip).
Fun little thing to do while in the area. It is not free but it does not cost much (~$2 per person). The car ride is short. The top features a viewing platform that offers a great view of the city of Dubuque, the Mississippi River, and the lands beyond.
Fun place to go in dubuque. 3 dollar round trip for adults. Couple shops at the bottom to explore.
Lovely vantage point over downtown Dubuque. Every tourist should see the view from the top of the cable car.
Very neat to still see something like this around. Fun way to get a great view.
For some strange reason I am always drawn to this place when I visit Dubuque. The ride and the views of the town and the mighty Mississippi are well worth the few dollars I had to spend to enjoy this. Make sure to take along your camera.
Always fun to take a ride in the cable car. Very nice view and friendly people.
