I used to take multiple vehicles here to get everything done over the years (probably spent a couple thousand at this point). However, lately I am less and less sastified with every visit. What used to take 45 minutes just takes longer and longer. I walked in today and asked for an oil change and tire rotation. The guy said they would be able to start on my car in 15 minutes. I said okay and took a seat. TWO HOURS LATER I'm impatiently staring at my vehicle clearly ready to go. I finally had to get up and ask how much longer (which I've never had to do). I paid the $45 (which was normal) and left. As I'm sitting at the intersection I looked at the receipt and it said "no tire rotation today, needs two new tires). First of all NO ONE bothered to tell me I needed new tires. I was considering turning around to see if they could correct the mistake. I decided it wasn't worth it since they had already spent an hour and a half on something that should have taken 20 minutes. I also noticed there was an $18 "under the hood" charge that I was not told about (and no I did not sign anything when I gave them the vehicle so I had no idea beforehand) which explains why it was tbe same price as tne last visit ($20 tire rotation). They also failed to tell me my air filters were dirty (I know that because I had two brand new ones sitting in my trunk) and that I probably needed new spark plugs. I used to recommend this place to everyone and I refused to take my cars anywhere else. However after todays experiencd it's not worth the hassle.

Family Tire is a business that New Bern is proud of.

Family Tire is an excellent example of hometown customer service. I am always treated with respect and courtesy. Repairs are reasonably priced and explained to me in a manner that does not insult my intelligence nor wound my pocketbook. The rocking chairs in the waiting area are probably the most comfortable seats in town. Fair, honest, reasonably priced, they are my go-to spot for all my Automotive Service needs.

Great place and people. Every appointment has been on time. Bought the tire warranty and have had to use it a few times now for flats, a great investment. People explain what needs to be worked on, they answer all my question honestly, and don't try to keep selling.

Really appreciate the quality of care that is provided at Family Tire. The honesty and ability of the staff never ceases to amaze me. The technicians know their stuff and never hesitate to discuss their findings with you so that you know what's happening before it happens. Dave and his crew are top notch. Thanks to all.

Not impressed. They were very frustrating to deal with. They were either really nice, or really frustrating. Some of the people have a attitude problem that needs to be checked. Larry and the dark haired girl whose name starts with a H were really nice. Heather? Helen? I don't remember. They were both great on the phone and in person. Otherwise, I wasn't very impressed with the work or the prices. Not to mention when I had issues with their work, they blamed me. I'm not stupid, it wasn't me. I also know a friend who had a bad experience here, they scratch up his wheels when mounting tires. It sucks because I always recommended this place and I've been here a few times. At first my experience here was great, albeit pricey, but it quickly became frustrating. They're not really worth it, I'll just go somewhere else or do the work myself.

Family Tire repaired my tire when another location refused so they could try to sell me a tire. The employees are extremely helpful and polite. I was helped with coupons and discounts, and given good advice about whether or not I needed additional services. Family Tire is honest and will not try to sell you something you do not need. By far my best experience at an auto repair shop.

My husband & I appreciate the customer service and services this shop provides. We feel like we can trust them, and they do it honestly. I have been there twice, and they are always accommodating (shuttle ride, best waiting area, etc.) and make you feel valued. The owners seem very involved with the day-to-day operations, and their store's professionalism and cleanliness shows it. I also like how if you ask for an estimate, they will gladly provide it to you! My estimate was 100% accurate for a brake rotor and pad replacement. Shout out to Mr. Ray for keeping us informed and taking care of us! We will definitely continue going to this shop! (P.S. Thanks for the shuttle ride, Mr. Denny!)

The work on my vehicle was done as promised at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, there were items on my bill that were neither discussed or approved. Once this was brought to their attention they agreed to resolve the matter. Have used Family Tire for a number of years now and am pretty happy with their service - I keep coming back!

My visits at Family Tire are usually pleasant. The counter staff are always polite but I don't think all are too car savvy. Appreciate the free courtesy checks & the fact that they aren't pushy like the dealer with mileage recommended services. I will continue to bring my vehicles to them!

Dave and the gang have taken care of me and multiple vehicles for years and years here in New Bern. I've taken advantage of their lifetime alignment plan to save me excess wear on tires. They've even been able to knockout issues with wheels I had on a handcart.. quicker in and out than I could write this review! Thanks again!!!

I had never been to Family tire until today. Holly was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. She certainty went out of her way to help me. The service tech did an excellent job on my vehicle. I was pleased with the work preformed and will return for more work to be done. I will recommend Family Tire to my family and friends. Thank you for a job well done.

I've spent many years looking for an automotive company that I could trust. I think I have found it in Family Tire. My experiences there have been completely positive. From scheduling appointments to driving off the lot, they have been honest and reliable. I highly recommend them for not just tires, but many other auto needs.

There is a reason they are called Family Tire. They really do treat you like family. They always go above and beyond. Friendly, helpful and always accommodating. They have a very nice waiting room with computer access, tv, coffee, fresh fruit, and sometimes the owner herself is serving fresh baked cookies. When they work on my vehicle they treat it like their own and they make suggestions and anticipate future servicing. Love my Family Tire.

Outstanding service! Take my car to the New Bern location monthly, for oil changes and other services. My job requires a great deal of travel. Takes a toll on my car. The customer service team is stellar! ALWAYS polite, courteous, knowledgeable and competent. They do whatever they can to resolve any/all issues, immediately. I cannot say enough about the customer service!!!
