As someone who travels often, I usually find helpful hotel staff. In this case, the staff didn’t disappoint. They are very helpful and friendly, which softens the stress that comes with traveling. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers seems willing to help.
In terms of my room, it was clean and well presented. The room included a full-size refrigerator, a two-burner stove, a microwave, and a kitchen sink. The front desk provided me a with a toaster and a coffee maker. The complete set up to make a great visit when staying for a few weeks.
I was able to get #Instacart to deliver groceries and even fresh fruit from #Publix, which was quite convenient.
This brings me to the hotel’s location, which is outstanding. It is situated behind the Orange County Convention Center. In fact, one of the roads that lead to the convention center runs parallel to the hotel and it includes a sidewalk, thus in a 5-10-minute walk, one can get to it.
This place is garbage. Bugs, non-working A/C, rude staff, non-existent cleaning service, shotty WiFi, and folks that smoke dope right in the parking lot. They consider stale bread and butter breakfast. Seriously, don't stay here!!! Absolutely, without a doubt, the worst place I have ever stayed and I have stayed at places in Pakistan and Afghanistan the latter of the two had terrorists that wanted to kill me and the fields were laden with mines and that was more appealing than this shanty.
Everything you could need in a hotel -- and for a price you won't find anywhere else. Most nearby hotels are on International Drive and cost $150+ per night -- but for about half that, you can stay in a well-maintained room with a fridge, oven, sink, television, and recently redone bathroom (they're lovely). There's even a desk and some furniture. They also have a free shuttle service that will take you to SeaWorld. Front desk staff kind and helpful, I needed some extra time to check out and they gave me two extra hours w/o issue. Highly recommend.
Great stay here, perfect place to use as a base so you can get around to all the attractions, parks etc
Great location and value, BUT our room had roaches all over in the bathroom. Rooms are older and a bit musty. We stayed for 4 nights and the location is in between Disney World and Universal which worked out well considering, but I would not stay here again because of the roach problem.
This has been the absolute worst experience. When we first attempted to Check in, the front desk person seemed friendly enough, but absolutely incompetent and unprofessional. She said we still needed to pay, when we had already paid. She called another person a female on the phone who was actually a male, and I quote" my bad, wassup". Like what?! This was her coworker she didn't even know. She finally (30 min later) gave me a key to our room, and when we arrived, it wasn't clean, sheets weren't made, and the smoke detector was disabled as well as the whole room smelled like smoke. Went back downstairs and she didn't apologize, Just made it clear she didn't have any other rooms. Also said we needed to come back at 6 and we would have a room. Our check in was at 3!!!!!!! She never apologized. She was rude to me, insulted me and also just acted ignorant and unprofessional. When we came back 2 hours later our room was clean, but didn't have hot water. There also wasn't an ice machine in the entire building. When we finally got to talk to a manager he made excuses for his employee and sounded like he also had no experience in customer service. He said we were going to be refunded, which ill believe it when I see it, but his attitude was not apologetic and he seemed terrified of me( 20 something 5'4 teacher). Pathetic excuse for a staff. Do not stay here. Beware
The staff is very friendly and helpful. As for the rooms, the bed and bath are both fine. The kitchen could be much better. Microwave is very low power so it takes a long time to cook stuff. There is no oven. Morning breakfast is ok mostly bread products but the coffee is excellent.
Excellent service. The people at front desk is too kind and very caring. The rooms are cozy. The only thing which could have better is the breakfast. It is just grab and go breakfast with ready made muffins and cereals. Apart from this it's a very good place for the price
Found a bed bug. The manger couldnt have cared less. I brought the bug to them in a cup. It was pretty large so that meant to me that smaller ones were around. The staff were friendly except the manager. The 2nd floor smells like a gym locker room. All the sheets I saw in both rooms had bed bug stains on them. I Will never visit this hotel again. After my stay we were charged an additional $90. From a different hotel. This place is a joke.
No dishes, coffee machine, toaster, silverware, etc in the room like we were told to expect. Bath tub was leaking. Hallways were littered and smelled bad. Breakfast was not high standard. Locals were hanging out in the parking lot every night, playing music and drinking. We were afraid for the safety of our car. Will not be staying again. The only good points were the staff, or the one person we saw, was polite, and the room seemed relatively clean.
Nice and clean hotel. The ceiling is a little thin as far as nice goes. There is a neat little table and chair/dining type area you can sit at with your own food. Really close to Sea World!
Roach crawling on the bed. Bathroom door handle kept falling off. Lots of noisy neighbors, you can hear everything. It's clear some people live here, which isn't a problem of course, but it is awkward to walk around and see people smoking just outside the entrances, and sitting on the floor in the hallways.
We travel a lot and aren't super picky, so if it weren't for the roach, we might have stayed the remainder of our trip. As it is, we stayed for one night and left after we killed the roach. There is no manager on duty at night. We'll fight the charges. We just ended up booking at another nearby hotel.
