Gorgeous setting for our wedding! Super - attentive staff and excellent food!!

I'm genuinely shocked there isn't a review below four stars here. After everything being said and done after our event, 3 stars is generous. This was a very back and forth experience. Initially, everything was going very well. Quick responses to inquiries, decent communication. After a contract was constructed and we were ready to put down a payment, all of a sudden the prices we were given were incorrect and it was going to cost more than originally discussed. When there is a set price for every meal plan, how is this something that gets miscommunicated? The event planner made it sound like she was doing us a favor by "moving around a few things" on the menu to create something close to the original plan. We submitted our down payment and were not charged on the day we were told. We called a week later to make sure everything was going smoothly and were told accounting must have missed it. Unacceptable. We were told the rest of the payment was due three days before the event. When we called to make the payment, all of a sudden we weren't being charged anything until after the event. The food ended up being underwhelming. There was a large amount of food left that was taken away abruptly and without the offer of taking anything home. If they just throw it away, that is incredibly wasteful. If they don't, well. The wait staff was extremely attentive, but also made everyone at the event feel extremely rushed. They were asking to clear peoples plates while they were still in the middle of their meals. This was for a simple party of 40 adults. Overall, this experience did not live up to expectations. Especially based on so many four to five star reviews.

Lovely historic venue with a spectacular view of the St. Johns River. I love their lunch buffet. Service is exceptional.

As a professional wedding DJ who is fortunate enough to travel to some pretty cool places in the world, I have to say the staff here at Epping Forest are TOP NOTCH. The location is simply gorgeous as well. I recently did a wedding for our clients at Epping Forest and the level of service was solid. I am hard pressed to think of another location that matches what Epping Forest offers. If you are considering having your wedding or special event here, ask for Ansley. She definitely goes above and beyond to provide excellent service! I can't say enough. Amazing location, beautiful views., excellent staff!

I had been working with Courtney of Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club, the Senior Catering Sales Manager, regarding my September 2018 wedding. Although we decided to choose a venue closer to the beach for our wedding, I cannot tell you what a great experience Courtney gave us touring Epping Forest. She was professional, patient & was not opposed to drawing up several proposals to fit our needs. I will certainly try to plan another special event at Epping Forest 10 out of 10, gorgeous venue!

Went for a Lunch & Learn with Money Pages on Thursday. The views are of course beautiful, landscaping is impeccable and the food was simply amazing! Even the bathrooms were beautiful! lol

This was a nice venue with a view of the river for the baby shower I attended. The food was superb and the waiters/waitresses were pleasant and prompt to meet our needs. I did not see an elevator so you might check if navigating stairs is an issue.

Epping Forest provided the perfect setting for our wedding -- the beautiful gardens, the luxurious mansion, and the wonderful view of the St. Johns River. Working with Ansley and the rest of the Epping Forest staff was the best. They went above and beyond for my husband and me, to make sure all our requests were taken care of. I can’t stress enough how incredible the service was; it certainly elevated the event to the next level. Ansley was an amazing coordinator. Even well before the wedding day, she was always quick to respond to my questions and concerns. The tasting went so well (more on the amazing food later), and she always made it a priority to accommodate any special requests we had. She definitely eased my mind the days leading up to the wedding and especially on our wedding day. She made sure we were right on schedule because the day FLIES by and without her, I would have missed the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, etc. She took care of the small details that came up (hanging the decor, fixing the favors, making sure everything was set up properly, etc.) The reason my day went so flawlessly was because of her and my bridal assistant, Ernestine. I’m not sure how Ernestine did it but she managed to hold my bouquet, fix my veil, and gather my things during the photos. And on top of that, she was getting us food and drinks during cocktail hour and herding my dog along. It was like she had EIGHT hands and I could not have gotten through that without her. The main reason we chose Epping Forest, besides for its beauty, was for the food. We read rave reviews about the quality of food and that was a top priority for us. Epping Forest did not disappoint. Our guests STILL talk about the amazing appetizers, entrees, and especially the beautiful cake. The chefs and pastry chef are incredible and that is yet another reason why Epping Forest was an easy choice for us as a wedding venue. And the best part is the possibilities are endless; they had so many food options and if you wanted something off-the-menu, that was completely possible as well. Another thing we loved was that everything was included (the food, cake, drinks, chiavari chairs, linens, etc.) so it made it easier for us, instead of having to look for outside catering and rentals. The beauty of Epping Forest speaks for itself; it really doesn’t need much done to it because it truly looks so magical (especially when the sun is setting and with the string lights they have outside). It was one of the easiest decisions while wedding planning and trust me, you will not be disappointed going with this venue. I’m so happy with how our wedding went; it seriously could not have been more perfect.

I have photographed weddings here in the past AND picked this as a place for my husband and I to celebrate our marriage. What intrigued us about this location is its' charm and beautiful photo opportunity, but what helped us seal the deal is superb customer service. To this day I am still amazed at how friendly and amazing the whole staff is. Their food is delicious and they are on top of everything.
Working there as a photographer where it poured before the wedding ceremony, you can really see how well the venue staff operates. They were swift and on top of it when moving the chairs from the lawn to the 2nd story of the Main Building. You can really see how professional a vendor is when hit with things you cannot really control (weather/rain). They were still really friendly, optimistic, and overall a blessing to work with.
