  This place has just about every costume imaginable! We were looking for Great Gatsby outfitsbut, could have walked out of there as JUST ABOUT anything!! Highly Recommended!!

  A true costume shop from rentals, to all things make believe. An excellent assortment of Pirate and Colonial costumes. Yes Steampunk also.

  I wanted to buy some ballet pointe shoes as a novelty gift and didn't know what size to get. The ladies in the dance dept were very patient and helpful. Even though they are only a gift, they gave me their full attention and offered tips on how to fit them properly. I left with 2 pair!!!! Thank you ladies!!!

  We live out-of-town and when we do our monthly trek into Jax this is always the first stop we make on our journey. This place is incredible! Whether you want to groove back into the 60's or delve into some awesome cosplay Make Believe is your go-to place for costumes, dancewear and accessories!

  The store was very busy when I when I went in, but even as busy as they were one of the sales associate (dressed in a wonderful bumblebee costume) spending a good thirty minutes with me helping me find exactly what I needed. I will definitely recommend Make Believe Costume and Dance to anyone I know who live in Jacksonville and are looking for special effects makeup, Halloween gear, or dance wear. Thank you for all your help!

  Staff is rude and don't want you to touch anything. They followed us around the store, not to offer assistance, but to ensure we didn't touch anything.

  Super fun places. I do a lot of cosplay and they have some good stage makeup and face paints. Plus the staff is super nice and helpful!!!

  WROST DANCEWEAR IN JAC . The staff is rude, the place is messy and unclean, and they did not care about my dancewear needs whatsoever!!! I do not suggest make-believe dancewear

  As a first time shopper I won't be shopping here again. They don't do refunds only store credit,I underdtand for certain items that people try and return but for a costume that is not damaged and doesn't fit they should do refunds. I only came to this store because of a event my daughter had and i had to improvise any way because the fit was not good. This is not a store I would frequent to even have to come back too to use the store credit that they give although it last a year, what do you do when you don't have events like that or are not apart of a group to where you even need to shop in their store? Especially if you've never even shopped there for halloween! Lost a customer!!!
