Free happy hour and snacks, comfortable beds, huge room. What's not to like? Everyone was pleasant and it was easy to find in a great location.

Very good location for business travelers. About 1/4 mile from the airport, and right across the road from the mall. Lots of good dining options around. Breakfast was awesome. Manager's reception was nice, but consisted of chips, veggies, and possibly a drink. The room was very comfortable, even for a small suite room. The staff was extremely welcoming, I felt very good about the choice of this Embassy Suites.

Great manager's reception. Excellent breakfast. Spacious rooms. Nice warm pool and hot tub. Perfect location. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Tampa and will keep coming back.

BED BUG WARNING! Wonderful hotel, but they have bed bugs. My team stayed there on multiple floors and at least 5 people got bitten by bed bugs. I know this can happen to any hotel, but they need to fumigate, immediately!

In response to the hotels response, one of the team members showed you a bed bug that they captured a picture of and you simply changed her sheets. You did not move them to another room. Also, I have welts on my body from the bed bugs. I have had mosquito bites and ant bites before and this is not that. And again: the instances of team members that have bites stayed on several different floors.

This hotel is very nice! With the exception of the elevator furthest from the desk, which smells like feet and old cheese, everything else was perfect. They serve complimentary breakfast in the morning and there is complimentary happy hour from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Great place to stay!

Friendly staff. Great location. Close to the stadium, SoHo and not to far from downtown. Stayed during SMF and had a great time!

The service was great. The front desk staff was very accommodating as well as helpful and made sure all our needs were met, from a demagnetized key to extra towels and shampoo.

I am a retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant and visited Tampa for a military retirement ceremony. While the front desk staff were pleasant, my experience at this Embassy Suites has convinced me I think twice before I stay at another one. My initial reservation was for four days but I checked out on the second day due to my dissatisfaction with my room. I consider myself a very reasonable/understanding person; however, when paying for a service, room, etc, there is an expectation for money paid.

    THE BAD:
    — When I arrived to the hotel at 1430, I was informed my room wouldn’t be ready until 1500 and that I should return in 45 minutes. Realizing normal check in time is 1500, I didn’t think this unreasonable and retuned in an hour. Room still wasn’t ready. Had to wait an additional 30 minutes and at 1600 i was in my room only to find out they had given me the wrong room. I requested a King Premium Suite and they gave me a room with 2 Queen beds. Called down to front desk and the front desk associate looked in the system and verified he had given me wrong room. Moved me to a new, non-premium floor room, and ensured me I would still receive the amenities every night even though I wasn’t on a premium floor. First night, aforementioned amenities weren’t delivered. On the second night, I contacted front desk and spoke with same associate who indicated he remembered his promise but wasn’t sure why i hadn’t received it.

THE GOOD: He immediately had someone come to room to deliver both the previous nights and that nights amenities.

THE BAD — Ordered room service and it was terrible. Retired military guy here and honestly, I can eat just about anything but this food was not good at all. Cream of Mushroom soup was brought to room with just a meal cover on it…you know the kind that has the hole in the top. So anything could have fell in it while it was being delivered. Most restaurants usually cover the actual bowl/container with a lid or plastic wrap. Not the case here. Also ordered grouper nuggets which tasted as is they were 2 days old. Again, I am not picky at all when it comes to food but this was simply unsatisfactory.

THE BAD — From the pics below you can see the room was also below standard. Again, if I’m paying $170-$200 a night there are certain expectations. Here is what was lacking:

    — No towel rack to hang towel on after showering
    — No trash can in bathroom (usually standard in most hotels)
    — Air Vent in bathroom hadn’t been cleaned
    — Stains in carpet looked as if carpet hadn’t been shampooed in quite some time
    — Shower curtain showed signs of mildew/stains and was fraying.
    — etc, etc.

    Just an overall disappointing experience.

Dingy Rooms with stained carpeting. Place is in need of a major overhaul. Knowing we were coming in late, we asked to have the sleeper made up. It wasn't. Sheets were dirty and had black specks all over them. Staff was helpful in getting us a new room, but it was only moderately better. Not a typical Embassy, well below their quality level.

We had a nice stay, only stayed one night. Rooms were a good size and pretty clean. The parking lot was a little difficult to get into ( only one entrance/exit and since high walls can be easily missed). Breakfast was very good. Wifi was a little difficult to figure out. Gave us a password but no network name. Other than that nice stay.
