It's definitely a decent hotel showers nice beds are comfortable flat screen TV beautiful view. I got a ocean front room view very nice. It really is what the description says it is.

The staff was great and the beach was less than 100 yards away. The place is a little rough but it works if your on a budget. Is stay there again.

Was not a pleasant experience. Once I got settled in my room, heard barking dog very close by. Inquired as to where the dog was and was informed next door. Owners allowed a large dog into the motel and guests left it there alone. I gave up my ocean view room for a street side one which I didn't think would be bad. Revelers and traffic and an overly noisy a/c unit kept me awake all night.

Had a great 3 days I didn't have Beach view front but I could still open my door and see the beach open my windows and hear the Florida Water it's was amazing and the Front desk Woman was so nice the room was nice and Big the place was quite and comfortable I loved it and will stay again soon

I really don't want to give this place away. My husband and I have been coming here for years and we love it. Now it's not fancy, the staff and rooms are just right for a get away. It is nice to be right at the beach,w/o all the noise of elevators,luggage carts,ice machines non-stop etc.
Please don't take the wrong way,the a.c. is ice cold, the beds are comfy. Don't let the address fool you either Ormond beach is more or less Daytona Beach. Everything from the race track to the pier is right there.
The views are amazing and one of my favorite parts is you open your door(they have glass doors or normal)the first thing you see is the ocean,then you will notice how green the grass is and all the lounge chairs,around a beautiful pool(that changes colors all night).Some rooms have patios w/chairs,some w/fence around for the little one's. I can't say enough I've been to a lot of beach hotels in fl my whole life. For the Ladies w/ the little one's who want to go to beach their stairs are the shortest I have ever seen at a beach hotel and you can rinse toys and everything else right at top of stairs.
The staff will bend over backwards to make your stay great.

A really nice place to stay in Ormond Beach, FL. Our room 311 had a great view of the Atlantic Ocean, no balcony just a window. The rate wasn't bad for the room, the view and the area. We walked to supper (maybe a 3rd of a mile and right across the street is Pirates Cove Putt-putt. I would most definitely stay at the Driftwood again.

The Driftwood is clean, comfortable, ocean front lodging with in room kitchenettes and adequate parking. The staff is helpful and friendly, rates are very reasonable and the location is convenient to shopping, restaurants and Daytona Beach. The environment is family friendly. I recommend it for extended stays.

Staff was nice, view of the beach was great, a/c worked awesome, the pool was clean, and the linens were worn but clean. The room is another matter. Bathroom door wouldn't close, door to the balcony was warped and had a crack in it that you could see through. The coffee pot had not been cleaned from the last guest's, the safe didn't work and no hair dryer.
We won't stay here again. The room was way over priced at $145.00 a night for 2 couples.response / report this review -

This place was great for my weekend getaway! Right on the beach, with a pool that's heated at night and cool during the day, great bathroom setup, had a full kitchen with cooking utensils and dishes and silverware. The sheets were so comfortable and the lady at the front desk was so sweet and pleasant! Will definitely use this motel every time I visit the East Coast!

We took our daughter to the beach for the first time. We had a great visit to the beach and made some good memories also. The motel staff treated us as if we were family. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to go to the beach. Very clean and homely atmosphere. Close to everything but not smack in the middle of all the crowds. We will be back soon.

We have stayed here on 5 occasions and always had a wonderful experience. We are local and come there for a beach get a way. Love it and will always be a customer!

Come every year. Love it. Not the fanciest beach but since I go on vacation to ACTUALLY vacation, the motel does it's job. Beds are comfy, nice shower with excellent water pressure. The only complaint I would have would be not every channel listed on the TV guide actually came in. But like I said I go to motels to sleep. So it did its job. Management is friendly. Will be back

2nd time staying. Love it here away from the crowds.
Only knocked off a star for because bathroom smelled of weed & no continental breakfast.
Search for deals w/ all travel sights and yiu could get an ocean front room at peak time for $100 including taxes & fees!response / report this review
