They were closed for several weeks due to damage from Hurricane Irma and reopened with many new staff. I stood at the check in desk for several minutes waiting to check in while the host ignored me, messing around on his computer. I watched him fail to greet other guests as well. Many of the lower floor rooms had mold damage and are in the process of being restored, and it's not pretty.

Great experience. Clean room. Best mojito I have had in a long time from the pub on the premises. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Staff are very helpful and friendly, location is great. However, the room on the side of the freeway is extremely noisy. The quality of the room is poor, the comforter in my room had holes in them. The toilet ring was woren out and scratchy. The carpet is also dirty, the sheet and bathroom towel had stains on them. The thermostat display is also broken, so I don't know what temperature my room is setup to be. If I didn't see the double tree sign I would have guessed this is a sketchy motel. Will not stay here again.

Staff was very attentive and helpful, however I would avoid staying here currently. That's about where the positive review ends. The room/hotel smells damp and like mold. The comforter that was on my bed was lumpy - when I held it up to the light, it hard dark lumps of what I can only imagine was the filling. The shower was clogged/not draining properly and I couldn't turn the air conditioning down. It was also really loud - I could hear every conversation in the hall and all the traffic, even with the tv on. The pizza I got from the hotel restaurant was also burnt on the bottom and it seemed they were having trouble getting orders out properly. The hotel is still under reconstruction, however it was certainly not worth the lower price I paid for the room. Spend $25 more a night for a nicer place with less issues!

A fine hotel and good food in the bar.
My flight was cancelled so, UA put me here.
I was able to use my airport food vouchers in the bar(for food only), bonus! The room was simple and clean. Shuttle was fine as well.

They just reopened after some rennovations. This is probably the rattiest DoubleTree I've ever stayed in. The rooms are old and musty. I tried to use the gym but it wasn't even air conditioned in there? They're doing construction right now and I understand that to a certain degree but this place should not be open. If you must stay here request a room that doesn't face the east parking lot, they're staging a lot of the construction out there and the noise is horrendous. How do I know? I've been up since 4:45 am when a large truck decided to park there and leave his backup siren on for 15 minutes straight.

Greetings were professional and courteous. We have a business gathering in the dining room and the staff set up an area for us and the food was delicious.. A special thanks to chef Andre for being delightful, engaging, and delivering my omelette to my table.

Nice location to outside of downtown Tampa. It has all the amenities typical of an clean 3 star hotel. The some of the rooms have a mini fridge, you'll need to ask for one to be sure to have one in the room. The morning buffet is pretty good quality, but stay away from the coffee, yuck!

We stayed here for five nights and we absolutely loved it. The staff was very friendly and willing to assist you with any questions or requests that you had. We ate at the restaurant located inside the hotel and although it was a little pricey just for a burger and fries, it was great food and great service. The shuttle they provide is amazing. Just make sure you call down in advance because they do many shuttles to the airport and you may have to wait a little. If we ever return to the Tampa area we will be staying here again! Thank you for amazing service!

Attended a professional event at the Double Tree. Great ballroom for the event. Check in staff was very friendly and helpful checking in multiple rooms. Rooms are a little dated, but fine for business purposes.

Nice hotel in a convenient location near many good restaurants and a popular mall. The staff is friendly, and the fitness center is small but clean and functional. Nice sports bar on the property.

Customer service is fantastic. Everyone I've encountered has shown a high level of interest and commitment to making sure my stay is enjoyable. Would rate the service 5 stars. The reason for the 3 star review is the condition of the room and items in it. The trash can and do not disturb sign are completely missing, and the door to our 5th floor balcony was not latched when we arrived. As parents of an active toddler, these were important items to us. The room was generally clean but somewhat dated. There were makeup stains on the washcloths. Also, the king sized bed seems smaller than the one I sleep in at home. However, the room is quiet and while pretty sparse, it does the job. If I had the chance to stay here again, I would look for a more family friendly hotel. A lot of the guests here appear to be airline pilots and employees and other business travelers. A good enough place to travel for work, but if you are travelling with small children, look elsewhere.

We were there for an award ceremony. Upon entrance it's not very far to go. Pass the restaurant and there we were right there. The room was very spacious. It fit about 300 people including tables chairs two buffet services and there was still plenty of moving around room. Food was excellent. Flavored well and plenty. Servers were well mannered and kept cups full and area cleaned. The only issue I would say it the walls at times seemed to be a bit thin and event next door came through the walls here and there. Being that there were a few events happening at one time parking could have been a slight problem but there is plenty of space around them and they have a parking garage.

This is the most horrible experience I have e ever had in a hotel. First off they put us in a corner room by the interstate and you can hear all the traffic even with TV on..so multiple sleepless nights..then the bed was supposed to be a queen but this is the smallest queen I have ever seen. It barely fit 2 people. The cleaning staff did not replenish cups or coffee creamer when they came to clean the room during our stay. Then they charge you an arm and a leg for the breakfast buffet. The staff at the front desk were not very welcoming when we checked in either. The hallways always had trash on the floor and not kept up. The lobby was extremely loud and dirty and people sleeping in the lobby chairs. Will never stay here again. If I could give 0 stars I would.
