My first time staying at a double tree. I purchased off of a website that doesn't tell you which hotel it is until you pay so it was a surprise. Overall appreciated the location it is walking distance to uptown. Free cookie when you check in. Rooms were clean but the bed was lumpy due to people sleeping/sitting on one side.

The location is great! Walking distance to tons of bars and restaurants. The staff at the front desk was very nice and greeted us perfectly. The bar area is very nice in the lobby and the bartenders are great. The rooms are nice and spacious. Overall great hotel!

The rooms have microwaves and fridge (at least on the HHonors floors). The beds are comfy and the staff is friendly! And of course there's those cookies!!
The only drawback is the location which might be a plus for some. It's a little out of the way from the main part of uptown Charlotte (5-6 long blocks or 10 min walk). But there's a Starbucks across the street. I'd stay here again!response / report this review -

Most delicious cookie at check-in. Rooms on the back side have an awesome view of the stadium & skyline. Parking is a hike away so unload your bags at the front door. Starbucks & a bar in the hotel. Rooms are comfy & very impressively designed with a safe, feel good kind of atmosphere.

All staff was professional and friendly. All check in and check out was fast and efficient. Parking was readily available but was $14 a night. Location was convenient as it was close to all other locations and attractions in Charlotte.

My hubby and I use this as our secret get away, and we love it. Now that the kitchen is open we have a blast, We watch movies and just hang out in the beautiful room and look out of the window and people watch. When we finally leave our room we can cross the street and walk around Charlotte Live and we feel like we are out of town. We also go shopping in the Fashion District and basically have a wonderful time.We call it our Honeymoon spot in Charlotte:-)The art work in the room and the fixtures are awesome and the staff are the most friendly, professional accommodating people I have met.

This place is great! Rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. Parking is a bit of a pain but the lovely staff made this a truly enjoyable stay. I like the location, felt safe and close enough to Uptown but not terribly removed.

The AC is super loud. It wouldn't even get down to the temperature we set it at (70 degrees). It felt very humid in the room.
There is no fan in bathroom to suck out moisture while showering. Mirror fogs up and humid in bathroom.
The parking is horrible and is not directly connected with the hotel. Also $14 per day to park.
Food at their restaurant was good and the staff was nice.
I would expect nicer rooms in a downtown hotel.response / report this review -

My only complaint of this hotel is there parking garage. Located adjacent to the hotel But has no elevator or doors to enter the hotel except on the first floor .Which means if your not lucky enough to get a space on the first floor you will find yourself walking around the garage ramps to get to your car No stairwell on the side I mean actually walking around the ramps like you do when you drive up and around to find a space That is crazy What women wants to walk down and around the ramps to get back into the hotel after parking .About a mile walk down hill if your on the top and back uphill to get to your car . Then they had the nerve to charge me $14 for parking . I will never stay here again Didn't need a workout in my fancy dress and hills before the show and definitely not after

Hotel was fantastic, enjoyed craft beers at the bar the night we stayed. I did call the front desk to ask for different pillows as I am allergic to down. Was brought new pillows but not informed that the comforter was also down, rarely is this the case in hotels so I didn't even think to check. However, staff said nothing. Next morning, woke up with blotchy skin and swollen throat. I take ownership that I should have looked, but if I tell you I have an allergy, staff should be informed of what else I might be allergic to and share that information. IMO.

Do not stay here. Dirty. I was barely in the room just to sleep a few hours at night. There were bugs crawling over the covers at night. I changed my room and the second room had bugs in the bathroom. When I brought it to the manager they said it is a city hotel it happens like bugs are no big deal. I have stayed in hotels in all climates and cities around the world never had bugs. Do not stay here. Many clean hotels to choose from in Charlotte that do not have bugs. Two rooms with bugs and bad attitude. Go elsewhere

Very nice room with good amenities. Very clean. Excellent Staff. Staff went out of their way to make sure that I had the quiet room that I had requested. Highly recommend this hotel. Would stay there again.
