Dude didn't you hear the place is haunted. The metal clanks in the boiler room at night and rumors someone got murdered in the kitchen and the old captain still haunts the boat!!

Stayed Nov 2013 - very historical! What's Great - Views, Freedom to check out the boat, Very safe, The AREA! (Chattanooga really does it right!) What's Okay - The Bed, The Breakfast, the fact there is no TV in your room, and the staff. What's Bad - Parking, Privacy, No tub (barely a shower) & Water really needs to be filtered. If you like history, fresh air, walking to VERY close & VERY NICE shopping & restaurants you're gonna love this! We stayed in the room where Captain Greene died, but no ghost visit. Don't expect the temperature to be what you need, so pick Spring or Fall, and you'll be going up & down steps. We loved it!

I'd go out of my way to stay here again! It's a unique and hugely historic boat (visited by three presidents and used in WW2), and completely fascinating to stay on. We stayed under a promotional price (most rooms for $89), and ended up in a stateroom. It's not much bigger than the bed, and wasn't particularly warm. The charm and decor of the place more than make up for the lack of modern-ness! Breakfast in the morning was a large buffet of pancakes and eggs. One of the best nights in our trip!

We enjoyed out stay on the Delta Queen. The staff was so nice and I love the history of the boat. Inside everything was nice and clean, the outside could use more attention to spider webs in the corners and such, but we understood it is an old vessel. The swings and rockers on the decks are charming, the view on the riverside is lovely. I would suggest they put some extra blankets in the rooms, it did get cool at night, they kept the AC running and there was no way to adjust it in the room we were in. We stayed on the main floor, however, I did notice the upper floors had window units, so one might consider asking for one of them if they don't like the room chilly at night. Overall, it was great - the breakfast buffet was plentiful but unlike the rooms, the dining room didn't have AC running, and the windows were open. No major complaints, we'd go again!

My husband and I had a WONDERFUL time aboard the Delta Queen! The staff was more than willing to bend over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The woman at the front desk was even nice enough to upgrade our room for the same prince because they had extra space.
We had dinner at the restaurant along with breakfast the next morning and we could not have been more pleased. I don't think I've eaten better salmon anywhere else. There was live banjo music over dinner and we enjoyed a cozy after dinner drink upstairs in the bar. It was wonderful.
Our room was small, which I expected, but it was cute and cozy. The bed was so soft and comfortable that we almost overslept breakfast.
The one "downside" I will mention is that the showers were definitely cold. But what do you expect? It's an old boat and there are A LOT of people using the hot water in the morning. We chalked it up as part of the experience.
I suggested this hotel to my parents and my friends. Thanks to everyone aboard the Delta Queen! We had a fantastic time!

The location and the view are hard to beat, but any innately positive qualities the Delta Queen may have are far outweighed by the appallingly poor service. The shower runs cold for a full 20 minutes. Our room was roughly the same temperature as a MEAT LOCKER with a vent pumping a steady stream of cold air all night long. At the front desk the only response was, "Yeah, we pump outside air in all summer. They were supposed to switch it over to heat sometime." The worst part about our stay where the BEDBUGS. Yes, bedbugs!!!! John, at the front desk's only response was, "we'll have our bug guy come look at it." I had to prompt him to take my number so the manager could call me, which he never did, though I have called two or three times since. In summary, it was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and I would NEVER stay at this hotel again due to the complete APATHY of management. Did I mention the bedbugs?!
