Went for cave crawl experience with a friend. We did the waterfall one and I highly recommend it. It was our first time ever doing something like that and the guides were so friendly and fun they made the whole experience five star for us. It does require some level of fitness (not much but you definitely have to be up for 3 hrs of crawling, crouching, and squeezing through small spaces)

A nice smaller cave system. Used to mammoth cave. I saw salamanders on the short casual tour though which was awesome!

Caverns where awesome definitely recommend waterfall expedition. Instructor was awesome took us through some tight gaps. Don't be afraid to get muddy ,it's the most hands on tour I've ever been on. You get muddy and sweat profusely. Best tour ever

We enjoyed it. The guide was very informative and the caverns were pretty neat. It took well less than an hour and was just about a half a mile worth of walking.

Originally booked a stay with them on 3/4/17 for staying labor day weekend. Called on 7/11/17 to ask a question about our reservation and was told that they had switched booking systems and didn't even have us down. I have the original confirmation email from 3/4/17. Called today to cancel reservation for this Thursday thru Monday because it's supposed to rain the entire stay which is within the 48 hour cancellation window. They said they have a holiday cancellation policy which is not in either of the confirmation emails that I have, nor was it mentioned when the reservation(s) were made. So we will be charged the entire amount for something that we will not be staying at. Hope this helps someone else. Their "Holiday Cancellation Policy" is that you cancel 2 weeks before your reservation.

We found this jem of a place by chance through google to stay for the night & and loved it so we stayed a second. The staff are the friendliest people and there on site kitty crew is a great way to get some cuddles in! Other guests were so friendly and helpful and the amenities are great. Super clean bathrooms, even privet bathrooms with showers so that's a big plus. Beautiful scenic views. Even a cave tour! We will defiantly be back. Thanks everyone!!

Over Spring Break, a couple friends and I spent several days in one of Raccoon Mountain's cabins. The time spent there was fantastic. Quiet and tucked away in the mountains, it offered a chance to unwind and enjoy nature in a brief escape from everyday life. The cabin was cozy, but came nicely outfitted, and even included a gas grill and full-size refrigerator. Bedding and towels are provided, though I do suggest bringing an extra blanket in the colder months. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing directions to fantastic hiking trails in the area and answering any questions we had. Pricing is very fair, particularly for the cabins, and access to the campground is quite easy. Located just ten minutes outside of Chattanooga, it offers a relaxing mountain getaway, with all the amenities of the city just a short distance away. We loved our stay at Raccoon Mountain and recommend it to future guests!

Great RV Park / Campground nestled in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountain views located close to Chattanooga attractions and onsite cavern tours that get really good reviews from guest of the park. The entire staff is friendly and eager to accommodate. The grounds are well kept and we witnessed several items being updated during our 30 day stay here. There are spaces that accommodate everything from primitive tent sites to large fifth wheels, buses and cabins. 30 & 50amp sites with cable and sewer also available. Would stay here again. Thanks for a great experience!

Awesome place. The gentlemen grounds keeper with the mustache that rides on the Gator is your all-around amazing employee! We watched him remove disgustingly, intoxicated driver and passenger from the area professionally we witnessed him stop his Gator and go over and help a little girl stranded on the monkey bars he even stopped and chatted with us numerous times, giving us the insider tips of the area and funny stories. This all coming from a weekend with half of it being bad weather that we spent soaked and even had to leave and get a hotel one night. Also, the pool area be closed due to the weather and other circumstances🙈🙉🙊.
The cave and the gift shop staff were awesome, making us and our children feel welcome and accommodating. Super friendly people!
P.S. There is a sweet, injured cat (white with gray stripes) that is near sites 84 and 85. We tried to take care of him while we were there. If anyone sees him he needs water, food and rest. FyiHe will sleep in your chairs.😉

All the tourists always go to Ruby Falls when they're in this area. As a result, that place always has incredibly long wait times to get in, often well over an hour in the busy season.

Speaking as someone who has been to Ruby Falls several times, however, the Crystal Caverns tour here is easily superior to that, and not many people have heard of it, so there's no wait at all. It's really no contest.

And if you're really feeling adventurous and have some clothes you don't mind getting extremely dirty, the wild cave tour is on a whole other level.

My husband and I did the Waterfall Dome tour. Matt was our tour guide. It was great! The tour was one of the highlights of our trip. There were sections that I was a little nervous about, but Matt broke down what needed to be done and made it seem easy. Be prepared to get muddy. No worries though, as there are shower facilities.
