Lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Good for the price.
Old and cheap. My fridge was broke and there is not enough parking for all the rooms. There is a good Thai place on the side of the building.
Easy to find, plenty of parking, brought extra pillows, towels, and blankets quickly when requested. Room was clean, shower was hot, bed was comfortable.
Manager who checked us in was friendly and professional. Told us about the amenities including continental cold breakfast. We arrived around 5, and had to go to bed early for a very early flight. No problems with check-in and the manager was cool about letting us know about just leaving the key card in the room when we left to check out since he knew we were leaving early. Manager was a 5 star. Kind of a scary neighborhood. We chose this location because it was close to the freeway and airport. After dark I wouldn't wander far. Price is good. Room was older, but clean. Basic room.
You got what you paid for! The staff is good but rooms are smelly. There is no difference between non-smoking and smoking rooms here. They let us switched 2 rooms and gave us a fresh air spray to use when checked in but the smell still there.. We had to stay in the city for another 3 nights but decided not to extend the contract. Won't come back for sure!
Hey all I can't speak for everyone but for me it works good. The room is clean and bath room also. The beds are firm and comfortable and clean. The check in was quick and the desk person was very friendly. The location is excellent with plenty of restaurants right on the same street this Days inn is on and a gas station right across the street from the motel which is very comforting. I am visiting for my family reunion and will stay again if I return to Arlington VA
Got in late at night . There was an issue with using the phone app on reservation. John at the front desk fixed everything. I use a cane and he found us a room next to the elevator. Great personnel.
When I opened my room door, I was surprised at this hotel. It is the same room that is advertised on their website, but it looks a bit run down. Some light bulbs are burned out, the doors have non matching paint put over them from where they have been scuffed and bumped. I checked the mattresses and they are encased, and there are NOT any bed bugs here. Even though this room. Is not what I expected, I have had a pleasant stay here. The staff is very friendly and attentative, and I slept well. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay and don't mind the inside of your hotel to be the most aesthetic room, then this place is for you!
Wow, how can I even review this place.
The positives:
1. The room is large.
2. The woman at the front desk is very kind and helpful.
3. Heater was effective as it was freezing when we walked in, but heated up quickly.
The negatives:
1. Elevator seems to be on last leg, could be a safety risk.
2. Walls are paper thin.
3. No TV remote.
4. Toilet runs all night and kept waking me up.
5. Shower curtain so short it barely brushes side of tub so all water goes onto floor causing a HUGE slip hazard as well as a mess, and not enough towels to clean it up.
6. Bed was visually out of balance. Feet are higher than head and it leans to one side. So all night you're trying to keep from rolling downhill or off the bed.
7. The light switch turns off the outlet for the nightstand containing the alarm clock and charger, so if you rely on your phone alarm or the room alarm clock you will over sleep. Late for flight is not acceptable! Dead phone is not acceptable!
8. Breakfast is definitely minimum, toast, cereal, and yogurt. Not even a bagel and no protein in sight.
9. Faucet fell off when I turned on the hot water.
Great location. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Pic transportation easily accessible. Nice hotel for the price. Wish they had a tall mirror in bathroom. Housekeeping was friendly. Room was cleaned and towels were replaced each day. Would recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
The Days Inn was decent. It's an older building and good enough for the price. We spent most of our time outside of the hotel so we didn't mind older amenities. Breakfast was basic, the coffee was good. Front desk staff were less than welcoming when we came in and talked about us in front of us in English and Spanish. Still, the place did the job it needed to do for our 2 nights in DC.
