Great food, great service. The waitress gave us the best service I've ever received. The happy hour specials (daily from 3-6 pm!) at the place are fantastic.

The kind of food that makes you ask the server if it was good for him too. The entree portions aren't huge, so don't be afraid to plan on an appetizer and dessert. The desserts are inventive without being over the top.

Our group of eight had lunch and each of us had something different so we had a good sampling of the menu and without a doubt their food is exceptional , their recipes are authentic and the satisfaction level is 5 *. You will not regret experiencing Davanti when you are in San Diego. And if the waitress Christine is available she will enhance your experience.

Tried this place (on a Wednesday) after a very pushy host lured us in on the promise of 1/2 wine bottles (he pointed to the menu, the Autumn 2017 menu, which said 1/2 wine bottles on Wednesday.
Turns out this wasn't the right menu, and they were still on the Summer 2017 menu. We found this out after being seated, placing our wine order, and being informed by our waiter.
We asked the waiter to honor what we were told by both the host and the menu, which was met with an attitude, no attempt to rectify the situation, and him walking away.
I then walked to the front and spoke with the host - same thing. I was told I should be happy with everything else I'm able to choose from (Really? I was fortunate for the opportunity? The restaurant was less than half full)
Finally, I spoke with the manager on duty, who clearly sets the example for the staff. He didn't seem to care and when I told him we'd be taking our business dinner party elsewhere, he made zero attempt to make anything right. Best experience here on our vacation. Guy stand in ng out front, tries to lure us in. I like it but am wandering with a group who want to look elsewhere so guy tells us we'll be back. 10 min later we're back and a beautiful honey drizzled flat bread with cheese is sitting at the hostess table looking like a sample. We ask and the hostess looks at us quizically when same guy steps up, whips a napkin over his arm and offers us each a piece. It's amazing (like everything else we had here) and he proceeds outside and sits down as the hostess tells us it's not a sample, it's his dinner. Everyone here is super friendly and really caters to their customers.

The pasta is fresh and tasty and worth trying. Not the best place in little Italy but nothing to sneeze at.

Great atmosphere and good food! The flatbread appetizer was amazing. All the salads sounded delicious, I opted for the Beet and it was very good. A lot of their dishes are a bit different than you might be used to but the staff are very informative.

Have come here several times, but was here most recently for my birthday. The food is fantastic, but the serving is a little different. You don't order and eat all at once. Things kind of come out like appetizers and everybody shares in the food. It's a unique concept, but it works.
Have never had anything bad here. the wine selection is excellent and the staff very helpful and professional. I live down the street and we'll keep coming here.response / report this review -

We always love coming here. We try to go to the bar for appetizers and Cocktails with Mike and Mike behind the bar. The food is always amazing and the drinks are on point. Great mix of locals and visitors alike. The entire staff does a great job. I was wanting to give the kitchen a shout out as they always come through.

Nice location, good selection of food and appetizers. Wonderful staff. Cheese stuffed meatballs were really tasty. The calamari was good although I would've preferred to have thicker cut calamari.

Stopped by on way to Dodger game. They brought by lots of food very quickly. It was very tasty and fun picking out all the different plates. 11 am seems to be the best time. Centrally located in San Diego with $2 parking for 2 hours.

Let down, got the chefs special it was horrible Not worth $45 each courses took forever ever to come out. Waiter insisted if your really hungry get it. Naw stay away from it.

The food here is delicious. Ordered three different plates and got three unique excellent tasting meals. Very good ambience, we sat on the patio to enjoy people watching while eating. The staff was friendly, attentive and courteous. The cocktail menu didn't seem exhaustive as it could be (and they have a very limited beer menu) but they had a good wine list and the waiter helped us pair our wine with the meal. Highly recommend if you're in Little Italy looking for a good brunch or lunch.
