Traveling with two kids in tow is not very easy. Instead of a happin’ area I searched for in my 30’s with a great bar, I wanted something luxurious —pamper me, please!! If I am willing to pay top dollar for a room; I expect it. The packaged soaps and bundled individually package samples of lotions I did enjoy them!
I booked last minute and the staff seemed very nice, I didn’t have any issues checking in or getting my key. The gentleman that was checking everyone wasn’t exceptionally welcoming and carried on with a conversation with the previous guest. I waited 10 minutes for them to finish up- that did not bother me but I know it would bother others.
The room service was quick- food was great. The Chef must have wanted to work at an upperclass facility; like I wanted to stay at one.
The room speaks for itself. Please see the photos. I was so tired from driving since 9am (it was 7:00AM). I did not complain to the front desk, since this is their establishment and there is no way a hotel doesn’t know their spaces.
I thought I was able to post photos, I will have to post them on another site.
To sum them up- holes in walls, ac unit pulled from wall where there was layers of dirt and dust. (We woke up feeling a bit sick.) Dirty walls, a chandelier that lost its swagging chain due to, I’m assuming a guest must have pulled it’s swag hook down- since there was an unfixed hole in the ceiling. Photos from the 80’s hanging on dirty walls, a sink that didn’t drain properly, dirty coffee cups. Gross!
This was my first experience at this hotel and I won’t be back.
I won’t stay at another Crown Plaza.
Great amenities, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful restaurant with good food and a top notch breakfast buffet. The hotel bar leaves a bit to be desired in atmosphere, however the staff is always top notch.
First time at this hotel and was very unhappy with my experience. The price we paid for our room and for what we got I would have rather stayed at Days Inn. They try to make it seem like a upper class hotel but it's truly far from it. You get no appliances in your room unless you pay extra, like a fridge, microwave, etc. You dont even receive a complimentary breakfast in the morning. The food and food service are very poor for what they charge. The overall cleanliness was poor throughout building. Smells like an ashtray the moment you walk through the door. The overall customer service was poor, lady at counter was very rude when answering our questions, older lady in gift shop was rude to my daughter, and shuttle service could have been better managed. The restaurant staff was more worried about talking to each other, leaning up against the walls, or just yelling to each other across the restaurant then taking care of customers.
Conveniently located to the expo center. There is a shuttle but it is within walking distance. The staff is very helpful. Clean, nice rooms. The pool is very nice.
Amazing beds and amazing pillows. Wonderful and accommodating staff. The rooms were very nice, and had actual coffee pots instead of kureg! Keep that up! Will absolutely be staying here again in the near future. Also, try the chicken noodle soup
Nice building good location with an attached restaurant. But the rooms have not been renovated to meet quality of life standards. You have to additionally rent a fridge and microwave from the hotel. The hotel is already too expensive for what comes with it. I recommend a holiday inn express, staybridge, or candlewood over this particular Crowne Plaza. But overall it equals out to be a very average stay; which is disappointing since the hotel could easily be a 4 to 5 star hotel stay. Hopefully it gets figured out, but until then it's a very average hotel.
Shuttle had 20 minutes in between arriving instead of 10. I parked my car their for when I went to the airport because parking is much cheaper. The service on the shuttle was great.
Beautiful hotel and delicious food!! Room service was great and prompt!! Highly recommend this for your stay!! I am trying to convince my fiance about coming back here after our wedding next year.
The location was very convenient, as it was not downtown and therefore there wasn't much traffic. It was an old hotel but they clearly take care of it. The rooms were very nice and clean. I didn't like that there were so few bathroom stalls near the conference rooms.
Very good experience at the hotel. Attended a convention and was pleased with the staff interaction at the event. The food was good in the hotel Restaurant as well. Was told that drinks menus we're only viewable in the bar and unfortunately I was in the attached restaurant but out waitress "broke the rules" and brought us one anyway.
The lunch provided for the event was very good. Better than most. The event space was comfortable and the event seemed to be a success. Very good sound system and plenty of large presentation screens visible from anywhere in the room.
Mother's Day brunch at the Crowne Plaza Louisville for the second year in a row. Busiest day of the year, but, with the huge volume of people who want to eat quickly throughout the day, they pull it off. Is the service perfect? Of course not, it isn't anywhere. But the staff and servers work their tails off and pull off a nice dining experience given the massive challenge they are up against.
We booked a reservation months in advance for a couple of rooms . They had it wrong and several phone calls later it seemed they finally had it right. Very poor at listening to their customers. When we arrived they had the wrong credit cards on file for the rooms . I was given a room key and walked in on a room already occupied!! The next day the other family that traveled with us was locked out of their room for " non payment" they had the wrong card yet again. Our room was very dusty and had stains on the sheets. The parking lot does not have security cameras even though they continue to have problems. While we were there a uhaul trailer was stolen from the lot. The hotel stated this has happened before and not to leave valuables in your vehicle. There are several quality hotels close by with better service I'd recommend going elsewhere until this hotel can learn to value it's customers.
I was fortunate enough to stay here on a business trip and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly, courteous, and overly attentive to my needs. The food at the restaurant was delicious, even the breakfast buffet. My room was clean and spacious. I think the best part was the amazing shampoo, lotions, soap, and the aromatherapy kit I was greeted with when I checked in. I cannot say enough good things about this place!
