Had reservations since September to see MCRD graduation in Decemberbooked rooms since I'm a Club Carlson Gold member, i have had great success with country inn,and convinced my parents to stay as well. They arrived early, commented how dated and dirty the place was. And after I drove 9 hours I went to check in, and my room was given awayafter my mother checked on it earlier in the afternoon to make sure it was reserved.
There were no available rooms, and the front desk staff was amazing and apologetic. They called and found me another hotel down the street even. By the way ( Hilton Garden Inn in Beaufort is the best hotel I've ever stayed at).
All we asked was to speak to the ownerthe manager took our names, and said she would give him the message to call. He never did. Not even to apologize for a "mix up" it's the only bad experience I've ever had with Country Innvery disappointed and embarrassed I recommended it.

The fact that this hotel has more than one star is astonishing. The employees were very helpful but the hotel overall is ancient, musty, and dirty. I walked into my room and noticed that the curtains were falling off of the wall and I went over to look and saw that there was wet vomit all over them. Normally I would never ask to be moved from a room but that was so disturbing that I went down to the front desk to ask for a new room. The person at the front desk seemed completely unfazed and didn't offer any apologies. This hotel is worth it if you are staying maybe one night and paying $50. Otherwise you'll feel grossed out and robbed. The owner clearly does not care about any of the reviews posted here or elsewhere.

My family of 6 booked 2 rooms at this location for 3 days/2nights. The rooms were gross. We looked at 4 different rooms and every bathtub has black soap scum/mold in it. As well as soap stains, public hair found on the floor in 2 bathrooms. One toilet had pee in it as soon as we walked in. There was black hair (at least 20 strands) hanging from the hair dryer. The roof in the bathroom and bedroom area was water stained and peeling, the fan in the bathroom made a horrible noise when on, the curtain and blinds were broke, carpets are stained, the pool was so overly chlorinated that we couldn't swim in it even if we wanted. My mom who was with us left on the 3rd day sick. 2 of my children became sick within 2 days of leaving there and having a horrible infection on my leg that my nurse says it looks like staph infection. When I went to the front desk to complain there was already 2 other customers waiting to complain as well. And 2 more came down while we were waiting. We were told that the hotel isn't even a country inn and suites. That it was bought about a month ago and the company that bought it was still allowed to keep the name country town and suites for a certain amount of time. To add to this the wifi was also horrible.

One STAR is being very generous. This room is not worth the rates it charges. The exterior did not look good, so I knew I was in trouble. When I got to my room, it smelled like mildew and death. The beds were not crisply made (lumpy). Fortunately, the toilet was clean and the front desk clerk was friendly. But never, never again will I stay here. I have been at a Country Inn and Suites before, so my expectations were a little high -- but I was sorely disappointed. I recommend that this hotel upgrades itself to match the rates. It should do much better considering that it likely hosts military families that are visiting their loved ones. Staying here for 2 nights is too long -- but in here to support my son. Just know I will never come here again. I don't even feel confident about the breakfast. First impressions are everything. You guys have to do better. If I have to come back again, I'm going back to Comfort Inn and Suites. I'm thinking others knew that which is why rooms were sold out there, and I was forced to come here. The calamity.

While staying here, we had a wonderful experience! After checking out & being 30+ miles out of Beaufort, my son realized that he left his "beary blanket & froggy" in the room. I called back to the hotel & explained to Gwen that my son had had those since he was born & he sleeps with them every night & she mailed the items back to us on her own time & money. I offered to pay, but she insisted. We will definitely be back when we're in the area!

The staff at this hotel was the best thing about it. The rooms were pretty standard, nothing special. They have a pool which was a little on the cool side and an exercise room with no weights (only one treadmill, one elliptical and one bike; with a non working tv). However, I do know it is under new ownership and he is planning a remodel in the near future. I would stay here again, but not before the remodel happens.

Very clean room, they offer military discount, comfortable beds and pillows.. They also offer a free breakfast. I loved my stay here.

The construction didn't bother meWe had a room that smelled awful, the bed was hard as a board, the hair dryer did not work and there was no iron. We were moved to a suite which was better but not above par standards. The hair dryer again did not work, there was no microwave and it was noisy all night from the air conditioning motor. Sitting and trying to relax on the couch was not the best as the couch was hard and uncomfortable. The smoke detector wasn't even connected to the wall! I found it sitting on the TV entertainment centerpaying $149.00 a night plus tax was by far a horrible pricelooking up the same room today it's $123.00 a nightguess price gouging occurs during Marine Boot Camp Graduation which was why we were there as my son graduated 6-2-17. Not my way of thanking family members for their loved ones to serve this country!

This has not been a very pleasing experience. First off the location is not the best but that is not my concern. The staff, of the ones I met, were very nice but the clerks need to make sure when quoting someone a price they are sure to tell them that price is without tax. My major concern is the cleanliness of the rooms. My room was okay, but my bathroom had a list of concerning matters. First was the tub stopper did not work, then the shower curtain was barley hanging on by the hooks because the actual curtain was torn all the way across, and then I found mold under the soap tray on the shower wall. I ran a hotel for 2 years and this unacceptable. Very displeased with what I paid and what I received. Won't be back.

This place is DISGUSTING! Checked in on Sunday (very late), the attendant was friendly and very helpful. However, our room 312, was missing the shower curtain AND the tub was rusted out. Moved to 316 and it had a shower curtain, but the room wasn't clean AND the battery needed to be replaced in the smoke detector. We requested a new battery and that the room be THOROUGHLY cleaned the following day. Got up the next morning, reiterated with the front desk that we needed the room THOROUGHLY cleaned prior to returning. Came back from a day in St. Helena to no replacement smoke detector and the same dirty room! Long story not so short, housekeeping wouldn't be coming back that evening and I can't use their cleaning supplies to clean the room to s level that's comfortable for me. Please review the photos so that you know I'm not being super picky, but there was a roach in the room, unsanitary conditions, and no replacement smoke detector. And just to keep this a little funny, I decided to dye my hair that Monday and just as the timer went off for me to rinse my hair, the water went out! I mean there was literally only the toilet water available at the very moment I need to rinse my hair!!!! I ended up washing it out in some nasty industrial sink in their work room. I feel bad for the staff here because as we were leaving we overheard one visitor complaining about a rat! The owners SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!! The manager and attendants, with the exception of the housekeeping manager, were as accommodating as they could be given the circumstances. However, be forewarned you do NOT want to stay the night in this neglected establishment!

I really enjoyed myself. Greeted with such Southern greatness when I arrived. Rooms where clean and nice. Nice and quiet location for date night. Great costumer service, keep up the wonderful job. And rest assure I will be back the future.
