Rooms were quaint and spacious. Our even had a fireplace qhich came with a free log each night. Couldnt see yhe fireplace at night, but it kept us toasty.

Clean rooms, conveniently located, cordial staff. Continental breakfast is so so but I wasn't expecting much anyway. Rates are reasonable.

Very quaint hotel but went on a day that the temperature was 88 and they have no air conditioning and they only fan in the room isn't over the bed. Hot night

Nice room, 2 queen beds, cookies/drinks during the day and small breakfast in the morning. Fridge and microwave. AC, open windows and ceiling fan that didn’t work. Elevator was out of order, so we had to walk to the 3d floor with all our luggage (they provider help). Centrally situated and parking space available on first come first serve base.

Really nice staff. Rooms are ok. Carpet is kind of dirty (dingy socks after walking around) but everything else seems clean. Had fridge and microwave and nice big bath tub. Everything you need for vacation with a toddler.

The stay was great, everything was really clean and nice, and really comfortable. The breakfast was also good. I would definitely come back again and stay there.

The bed was very uncomfortable, rugs were dirty, the couch and chairs were old and dirty. The fireplace was nice. We paid extra for the honeymoon suite which had a private hot tub, but most of the jets didn't even work. And the ones that did barely worked. Also, it didn't get very hot. The room is next to the laundry quarters so we were listening to the machines and people talking all morning and afternoon which got kind of annoying. The location is great. It only took us 15 minutes to walk to fisherman's warf which was great! And it was next to downtown. They have a small continental breakfast which is nice to have.

The Colton Inn is situated close by the downtown area of Monterey. It is very walkable and I only needed a car to see other towns near by and to visit Point Lobos. The rooms themselves are par for the course considering it is a budget option, definitely more of just a place to sleep than to relax.

The view out the window is wonderful. Room is clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast has a decent selection of quality choices.

Our room was on the 3rd floor. The beds were comfortable the room was large enough for my family and I to not feel confined. The lack of a AAA discount during the weekend seemed a bit ridiculous, but at $150 a night it wasn't horrible. The continental breakfast left something to be desired
