Absolutely one of the best hotels in Monterey. Had an awesome experience staying over there, you can also have a great ocean view at their hotel restaurant! Would definitely revisit this place for another vocation, highly recommended for couples for staying!!

Wow. Had an amazing romantic stay with my wife. The views are breath taking. Schooners restaurant is a fantastic place to eat. And of course the spa, had my first massage there, is amazeballs. First time at a spa so take that with grain of salt. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I visited my in-laws here, it is a swanky place. This hotel is LITERALLY on the water, as in the Pacific ocean is directly underneath part of the hotel.
Lovely lobby that is great for getting some work done and watching the ocean. The rooms are great with nice views. A touch small but more than enough for two people.
The spa facility is evidently wonderful (I wasn't staying there so I didn't use them) and the even have some free weights in the workout area!response / report this review -

The hotel is a great place to stay, wouldn't bother with a couples bubbly massage again at the Spa.
Total confusion rained; the champagne was a 1/4 bottle; they forgot what treatment room I was in; the replacement therapist seemed to feel that using her elbow to try to break my back was crucial to a deep tissue massage; did little more than wipe warm oil over my legs which I'd carefully briefed the original therapist about..
Schooners restaurant was great, good staff and food, bar has some interesting and refreshing cocktails. The bell staff were great as was the front desk. Perfect location, just don't come for the spa.response / report this review -

The hotel was great. Excellent ocean views. The location is fantastic too. You are walking distance from a lot of fun stuff. Hard to complain when you can wake up to a sunrise on the ocean!

The plaza is located is the best spot of the town, right on the bay. You can wake up to an ocean view with an ocean breeze. The place has a roof top jacuzzi and spa looking off on to the bay. You can wake up and go tlfor a run along the bay. Also has great restaurants located near by

Hands down the best Hotel and Guest Experience you are ever going to have. I stayed here for four nights, for Monterey Car Week. Believe me, I am staying again next year, and the year after that, and the year after that. The hotel, and staff are out of this world. Pele, the manager is awesome, and ensures in 100% Guest Satisfaction..what more can you ask for!!! My favorite seagull, had coffee with me every morning. I love this hotel, trust me you cannot go wrong here..BEST HOTEL MONTEREY by far!!!

The Monterey Plaza Hotel And Spa is fantastic, the rooms are clean well furnished and have fantastic views. Every room, as far as I can tell, has a small balcony with seating for morning coffee, which is a fantastic way to start your day. It is located on Cannery Row and is minutes away from the aquarium and many restaurants. A near perfect stay. Staff is excellent by the way.

Clean rooms. Great customer service. Amazing ocean views. Tickets to Monterey Aquarium sold at front desk so you can skip the line at the aquarium. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for the best of everything then you'll want to stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa.
My room was facing the ocean, so it was more expensive than a room facing the street. The expense was worth it because the view was priceless. I watched the sunrise from the bed and it was beautiful.
The hotel has a couple of places to get food, but honestly you'll do well to travel to restaurants in the area. I recommend a hot coffee and danish while listening to ocean in the morning.
If you enjoy working out there is a very small gym. The free weight section is very very small, so stick to a cardio workout if crowded. The locker-rooms are large and the showers are private, but watch out for the crabs on the floor.
There are two outdoor hot tubs, but sadly they're not very hot. Even with the glass surrounding them the cold air will make you leave early on a windy day.
Enjoy the view and the convenience of being located in area with so much available.response / report this review -

Location is right on the water. Could hear the sounds of the ocean all day and night. Nothing like going to sleep to the sound of the ocean waves crashing. Watched harbor seals play right outside our window in the morning. So cool. Room are nice and clean. Service is top notch!

This was the perfect hotel for my family. Located walking distance from Cannery Row, the hotel was both quiet and near the popular attractions. The room was spacious and clean. The views were spectacular and we found ocean access within half a block that was toddler safe. Would stay here again!

Beautiful hotel right on the water. Rooms are quite large and well appointed. Mine was on the inland side of the street but I still had a nice little balcony overlooking the main street. Nice spot for coffee in the room. Restaurant/bar (Schooner's) is quite good but very busy. Make reservations if you're planning a large group meal.
