A little dated, but an excellent value and location. Our first room was right next to the elevator, which made a lot of noise, but the staff was very helpful and accommodating when we asked to change rooms halfway through our stay to get away from the elevator.

Cozy and family friendly. Definitely the cheaper route to go but you are right on the beach and super close to all the shops. I would stay again.

Best price I have ever seen for a block away from the ocean. Beautiful area, office Tennant at night when I checked in was very friendly. I like that my room has a little patio.

A mere block from Cannery Row. Older building but they've kept it updated. We had a good sized king bed room with a partial bay view and gas fireplace that rocked the heat. We kept the sliding glass door open during the night to let the surf and occasional sea lion bark lull us to sleep.

For a quick weekend getaway it'd be hard to find a better located and simultaneously well priced hotel during the Summer months. The staff was nice, the room was clean, and I felt safe. The fireplace and coffee maker worked, and the tiling in the shower was pretty cool. On the flip side the walls are thin, the doors slam loudly, and there was a weird oily film on the tabletops and furniture. All of the walls and furniture were missing paint or were banged up a bit. I enjoyed my stay and I'll keep it in mind the next time I go to Monterey.

Great place to stay! My room was lovely, nice vaulted ceiling, elegant furnishings, and very comfortable. The location is great. It is right at the end of Cannery Row, near a beautiful park on the beach. You can walk down Cannery row to get to the aquarium. The shops and sites along the row are super fun and the walk isn't very long. For such a nice room in such a great location, the price is great. Compared to other nearby hotels, this is the best deal by far, and still a comfortable place to stay.

This hotel is beautiful. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights in the king fireplace suite. The room was spacious and we had a view of the ocean. The beds are comfortable and the bedsheets were soft. For the breakfast selection, they had a waffle maker which was impressive. Apple juice and orange juice along with milk were offered,
Cereals and pastries. It is located just about in the middle of fisherman's wharf and the aquarium. We hardly had to use my car. Unfortunately I had to mark it down one star. Our fire alarm went off everytime we tried to use our fireplace. I'm glad the alarms work though. I would suggest asking for another room if youre placed next to the laundry room. We were woken up both mornings due to the maids conversations outside our door. Other than that our stay here was lovely. Definitely would stay here again.

Appearance of the room was neat and aesthetically pleasing. The fireplace was easy to use and effectively heated the room to the desired temperature. And there was a pleasant view of the water from the balcony. The water pressure left something to be desired, and the open passageway was quite cold for this time of year. And lastly the breakfast was rather quaint and there was little to no syrup left for the self made waffles.
