My kids and I needed to get away from the “busy” life and just relax and be free to play without any distractions. I have a 7yo and a 4yo and we were all just blown away with how amazing this place was. I knew as soon as we started driving down the little road entering the property that this was going to be exactly what we needed. The guy that checked us in was very helpful and pleasant. He gave a quick run down of everything we needed to know, explained the map of the property, loaded my car with some firewood and sent us off to our “glamping” tent. The amenities provided in the tent were just enough for us to be comfortable but not over-done. It was very peaceful and quiet. We walked the trails and drove to the creek and every moment was breathtaking! My 4yo son said this place was “funner than he thought it would be”! We felt like we had 300 acres all to ourselves but knew assistance was just a phone call away, if needed. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very peacefully. It was very cozy! We stayed one night on a Thursday so our total cost was $84 plus the cost of a little bit of food. I’ve spent more than that taking my kids to the movies and eating dinner! We are already planning to come back. I am so glad we found this place to go to when we need a break from life’s chaos. Thank you so much Coldwater Gardens and staff for offering such a beautiful and serene property to families like mine to enjoy!

This place. It’s an incredible little self contained oasis. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the treehouse and it was just so cool. Very clean, warm, and the linens were wonderful. The owner came and set up the hot tub for us and when we had trouble getting our campfire to stay lit another staff member came out in the dark and made it happen for us.
Friends stayed in a glamping tent and it was also perfectly appointed. The cabins look amazing too.

This was our second year reserving all 6 glamping tents for our Frontier Girls Troop. Words cannot express how much we love Coldwater Gardens!! The grounds are beautiful, the tents are always impeccably clean and the facilities are routinely maintained. The staff is professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Nick offered to give our troop a garden tour where the kids ranging from ages 3-13 had a plethora of questions. Nick was very friendly and patient, answering each question. We also met a woman who cleans the dwellings (I didn't get her name) who was also extremely friendly and kind. You can see the passion the employees have for this beautiful place and it is refreshing to see that quality customer service and hospitality does still exist. We hope to be back again next year.

Even if camping is not your thing the glamping tents are great! We had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful, clean and well thought out. Every items listed on the website was stocked in our tent. The staff are helpful and very pleasant. Our group ranged in age from 2 yr of to 61 yr old and we all had fun.

We enjoyed are stay. Rusty and his team are friendly and hospitable.
The natural environment is peaceful.
Our glamp was neat and very comfortable.
Outside was a pond with fish. There are spiders high above in the trees but they keep the bugs at bay and stay to themselves.
We we're able to explore the camp grounds and take in all the wonderful sights and sounds.

This was my second stay. They are always so helpful and friendly. The first time was in the glamping tents last fall, glorious! This time we stayed in a cabin, perfect! We tubed from up north and got out at CWG beach. That evening we grilled out with friends at a nearby cabin. Next morning we had breakfast on the screened in porch and explored the gardens.

I am having my wedding here in October and this place has been like a dream!! The entire staff is possible the best I've had the pleasure of dealing with! They help with questions and keep you organized with events or a vacation stay! I can not say enough about this amazing company!!!!!

My husband and I recently took our two grandsons visiting from VA to Coldwater Gardens and had the best time!
It was the first time I had stayed in a tree house!! It was far more than I expected. Lots of wood but contemporary and beautifully constructed.
When I first arrived, I just stayed on one of the two queen-sized beds for 30 minutes and enjoyed the scenery. There is a wall of windows in the house surrounded by magnolia trees and I could feel myself relaxing within minutes!
The boys and my husband loved building a fire for dinner right next to the house for hot dogs and s'mores.
There's a beautiful creek located very close by and we went swimming there. So much fun!
They have an adorable kitchen and bathroom (shower) and outside there's a hot tub located on one of two terraces.
I highly recommend this beautiful destination to anyone looking for relaxation and fun!!!response / report this review -

What a gorgeous place! Very friendly people! From the moment you enter the property you see all the heart and soul that went into making this place unique! Nicely furnished and clean! The bath house is beautiful! The glamping tents were absolutely fabulous! The cabins looked like a place out of the magazines! Can't wait to book another stay!

What a fun time we had and the staff was super friendly as well. We weren't quite sure what to expect (other than the website information) as this was our first time "glamping". Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom facility top notch. The south sandbar is beautiful and a great way to cool off in this July heat. If you want the adventure of camping but the luxury of home, this is the way to go. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful experience here over NYE. Clean glamping tents and bathrooms; the tents were outfitted with several great extras. Very friendly staff and beautiful places to explore. Really glad this unique place is so close!

We had a fantastic weekend bringing in the new year at Coldwater Gardens. The tiny house cabana was very comfortable, with a well stocked outdoor kitchen and a cozy bedroom and nice bathroom. We loved checking out the gardens and walking the trails. The staff was super friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Over Thanksgiving holiday, we had an extended family dinner at one of the cabins. It was such a lovely setting and the cabins are nicely conducive to cooking and entertaining. Everyone had a relaxed, enjoyable and memorable dinner. Rusty and Sara both have such passion and vision for this unique concept. The whole experience was so delightful, we are considering making it our new tradition for the holidays.

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely magical. It would be impossible to find something negative to say about this place. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, the facilities are gorgeous, and it seems everything was designed with beautiful intention. Our guests have not stopped telling us what a great time they had. Coldwater Gardens has a special place in our hearts.

What an amazing spot! If you're looking for a place to hike/ paddle/ enjoy gardens/ relax/ bike/ enjoy nature- this is the place for you! I have been here twice and stayed in a cabin, which was amazing- clean, modern, very well designed. I also stayed in the primitive camping as well. The platforms are very nice and our overlooked Coldwater Creek and we could hear the creek babbling from our campsite. We took the tour, Nick and the gardener were so knowledgeable and you can tell everyone loves working here as they are so passionate about what they do. Come check this place out for the day and plan a stay soon! You will not regret it!
