People, management and staff were very nice but the hotel itself needs an update. The housekeeping staff were fantastic, clean and friendly. There is only so much you can do with an old and antiquated building. Kudo's to the manager, he was everything good about southern hospitality. He should be at a 5 star hotel.

I stayed at the hotel for the weekend of September 22-24th, 2017. The customer service and room was out of sight. The room was nice and clean. Housekeeping services was excellent. After a good night rest, breakfast was served. Ms. Juanita and her staff had the BEST breakfast on time especially with those grits 💯💯💯. The hotel staff on duty during my stay was the PERFECT model of #1 CUSTOMER SERVICE in the hospitality field. 👍👏👍👏
This hotel was attractive and clean as was our room. Conveniently located near historic downtown Savannah, but far enough out we didn't pay historic downtown prices. Also close to lots of stores, medical facilities and mall. Breakfast was included which is nice if you want to get up and go without searching for a place to eat. Would definitely stay here again. Internet service was good although we were unable to access it on the morning we were leaving. We were doing one last email check before checking out when we discovered our password no longer worked. We didn't bother inquiring about it since we were getting ready to leave. That is the only reason this hotel didn't get 5 stars.
This is a really good event space. It's just what I needed to hold the casting call. The place was clean, well prepared, and the staff was nice and professional. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
vey nice hotel. Room was awesome. Very spacious, and clean. Nice courtyard. Really nice breakfast set up. Everything you need. Near other restaurants, and minutes from historic district. With free shuttles. Will definitely be staying at clarion again.
From reservation confirmation to check-out, great experience! Awesome front desk staff during the morning and evening hours. This was my birthday vacation and I brought the family with me. The staff were patient with my special needs son. They made him feel comfortable to be there. Spacious and clean room. Pool was clean and sparkling. Well lit parking area. Awesome breakfast bar spread. From cereal to Belgian waffles! It has been 21 years since my first visit to Savannah. It will not be another 21 before I visit again. Upon my return I plan on staying at the same Clarion Inn & Suites. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Overall experience was great. the staff was awesome. The property is clean and well kept. Nice rooms for the price point with all the amenities you need to be comfortable. The hotel is dog friendly but the walls are thin so it can be disruptive. But overall, it was a nice stay and I will go back when I am in Savannah.
**Note: For people who have problems walking There is only 1 elevator and it is on the opposite corner from the lobby area so after you check in, you have to drive around or walk. And only 1 ice machine per floor and it is on the end next to the lobby so if your room is closest to the elevator, you have to walk all the way around the hotel to the front of the building to get ice.
I have yet to experience any problems with this location. I stay here twice and sometimes 3 days a week and they treat me amazing. Jason, the new GM, is one of best in customer service. If you have any issues, he does not ask questions, he just fixes the problem. The rooms are always clean and the renovations look super nice! If you are looking for a place to stay and have a nice hot breakfast in the more for free!!! I most definitely this location.
I have to warn anyone who may be traveling to Savannah to not try to reserve a room at this location. Not only are there much nicer establishments for almost identical rates, but the customer service is terrible at this hotel. The one time I have stayed here before left me with a very neutral impression, but during Masters weekend I had tried to book a room for me and my fiance so that we could attend our friends' wedding. I had mistakenly booked it for the next weekend, and when I cancelled the reservation I was denied any refund though I had already paid the full cost of the room. I was told that they would keep the entire amount as a "penalty". When I called in I was essentially told "tough luck" and pushed off the phone. DO NOT do business with this establishment.
Non smoking room smelled like the inside of my grandma's lungs. We tried to change rooms but they said they were fully booked. They did spray some febreeze in the room for us though, so that was a plus.
Stayed at the Clarion Inn & Suites in Savannah as a reasonably cost effective yet decent place to Vacay. Had a blast in Savannah and the Clarion met all of my expectations. It was only a short Uber ride to downtown Savannah so the location was perfect. Only complaint would be that the halls smelled like cigarettes even though the staff assured us the entire building was non smoking.
Worst place ever. Manger was terrible! Had a reservation for 3 months. Got there at 6 room wasn't ready. They said they were renovating our room and it would be at least another hr and they were completely booked. An hr later still not done. We walked over to the room still had tile and carpet to be put down and smelled like fresh paint. I spoke with the manager about my concern with a 2 year old and the smell all night and the fact we had now waited 3 hrs for the room and she said there was nothing she could do. So now it's 9 pm with a 2 year old and I have no room and it's the weekend before st. Patrick's day and everywhere is sold out.
Staff was friendly, room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfy. Breakfast was good, the usual free Continental. The only reason I have it a 4 is one of our night stands had a visibly broken drawer. House keeping should have notified someone. With that said, still a good value for the money. I'd stay there again.
