Rooms are filthy. We checked in an hour late and our room was still not ready so they downgraded us. My kitchen is larger and cleaner. There were holes in the walls, mismatched paint, filthy carpet and moldings held up with tape. No iron or ironing board in the room, the mini fridge doesn't get cold and there are only 2 floors with ice machines, have a nice walk. I would recommend you steer clear of this establishment. We booked 4 nights but I booked another hotel that first night and salvaged the weekend. River Street Inn in two words: Utterly Disappointing!

Gorgeous views, very well kept up, close to entertainment and the free wine and snacks in the evening is a huge bonus! Well worth the money.

The hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The building is awesome and the rooms comfortable. It was a bit hard to find using GPS (hard to tell where to park). The real issue with the room was that the shower head and shower curtain were both covered in mold. If you're paying over $300 for a room i would hope it would be well cleaned before your arrival.

We stayed in a king bedroom overlooking the river. The room was beautiful and the view was fantastic. The location is super convenient for both the historic district and river walk. Parking is very pricey, though.

We evacuated from hurricane Irma and needed a place to stay on the way back to Florida. I called to reserve a room and was told that there were 53 rooms available and a reservation was not required. They took my last name, provided a great rate for a 2-bed room, and told me that they'd be waiting for us. Two hours later we finally arrived to find that there were no rooms with double beds available and that the only room left with two beds was a suite, which was way more expensive. I provided the name of the person I spoke with and the woman at the desk refused to honor the price. My husband and I, along with our two young daughters, were left without a room unless we wanted to pay significantly more for a suite. Poor customer service!!! If I could, I would leave zero stars!

Rooms were lovely and spacious and the view over the river was fantastic. The WiFi didn't work the two days we stayed and wasn't communicated until we checked out, so that was inconvenient. Staff were super pleasant.

Very disappointed. A queen bed room was $234 a night, no valet parking left and had to park in city parking garage a block away. Then were told we couldn't use the luggage cart because it was their only one and it was for the valet to use. Front desk staff was texting on her phone, didn't even look up at me, then acted annoyed that she needed to check us in. Someone pushed our door and came in and luckily we were therewe didn't realize the door needed to be slammed to shut. They were definitely aware of that and we felt insecure from that point on. Oh and since their address is River Street GPS diverts you to the back of the hotel where you can't get to valet. We actually had to stop and ask a store how to get to front of hotel from the lower river level. It would be nice if they tell you ahead of time how to find their valet check in on the street level and not river level. Just a bad experience for our first time to Savannah.

This is such a cute, historic place. It's right on River Street, so you can go right out back and see the river. There are tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance and even a couple connected to the hotel. I have to mention the best part of this hotel. They have complimentary wine and hors devours every day from 5-6:30pm. Obviously you should tip your bartender though. The only complaint I have is that one of my towels had makeup on it, and my bed cover had a stain on it that clearly could have been washed out, which worries me as to how clean the hotel really is. Overall, I love this place.

Great restaurant. We received phenomenal service from a very engaging server. Food was top notch, great presentation and it tasted delicious. Be sure to try their signature punch, a true Savannah specialty. We had friends recommend this place to us, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Savannah.

I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely be back. I was worried my young son and teenager wouldn't like it, but they thought it was really cool since it is so old. Steven helped us with our bags and was so helpful throughout our stay. Thank you Steven, and can't wait to go back! Thank you for making Christmas Eve so special.

Love this hotel! Beautiful historic building right on the river. Very helpful hotel personnel and tons of restaurants in the area. Also, trolley tour pick up right in front of the hotel. Only real con is that the water pressure in the shower is a little lacking which mostly matters for me because it's hard to wash thick hair in low water pressure.

Over all, really love the place.

Spacious King size bed room, wonderful river view on the top floor (519). Four post bed and matching antique wood furniture. Particular room had worn carpet but others with hardwood. Overall a good value for location, room size and friendly staff. We enjoyed seeing the ships go along the Savannah river from out tiny balcony.
