should be named the roach motel I stayed there around thanksgiving and as I walked in my room I noticed the roach come crawling from the corner of the bed I should had left then I did pay good money for something decent and not motel 6 but I was already there and tired from my travels, that same night I noticed the hairs on my pillows long brown hairs I'm a bold guy so they were not mine i couldn't help but think how gross that was to possible be sleeping on dirty linen i got through to front desk but they never sent any help up, neither did the women seem very concerned with the issue. In my opinion very poor management must be the problem, I wanted to enjoy breakfast but after seeing the bug problem i must admit i was a little terrified to do so and the employees the way they presented themselves seemed a bit well trashy has to be the best way to put it into words i noticed the majority smelled of harsh cigarette smoke along with the rooms as well don't waste your money at this place
First off i walk in to get a room and the guy helping me was very short with me. I then use the restroom and it smelled like death and urine was all over the floor. Then i get to my room and at first it looked nice till i find a meth pipe in the drawer with the bible. I will never ever return there. I mean never!
Recently renovated property. Everything was new and freshly painted. Some items need to be finished better but rooms were clean and the furniture comfortable. Recommend to anyone making the trek on I-95very convenient to highway, good restaurants, historic Savannah, etc.
Good rooms, but when they didn't come through on the pack n play that they said we would receive it made our night not so fun with our little toddler. That was the only reason we booked there and they just shrugged and said oh well, it's first come first served. It would have been nice if they told us that when we booked.
Best Western's 800 # rescued me. Driving from FL to Philly to escape Hurricane Irma, I overestimated that I could make it to SC. Not a chance in bad traffic. Called the 800# on the road at midnight and asked them to find me a room close to I-95 in GA. It wasn't easy but they found me one and gave me a great price to boot. Forever grateful!
I am huge advocate of Best Western Hotels for their comfortable pillows and complimentary breakfast. However, this was the worst place I have experienced so far. When my family first walked in our room, there was a huge cockroach enjoying the notoriously famous comfortable pillow before us. Should've walked out then, but since I like Best Western so much I wanted to give them another chance by moving to another room. They must have a roach problem big time because there were pest controls spraying at common check-in time. Also, I left my black bag at the hotel by accident so called them almost right away to let them know to keep the bag safe (checked out at 7am), but instead one of their employee stole the bag even when I knew the bag was actually there. there were no confusion. They also ignores your need when you call the front desk for any extras or needs. In sum, customer service is horrible, one of the staff is a thief, and the place is not safe with too much chemicals sprayed everywhere at the most active hours. I highly recommend you to pass on this place.
We reserved the afternoon for the night we needed and a king bed room. It was immaculately clean and fresh, everything in place. The staff was very courteous. Bring cash for the sundries! We didn't use the pool Clean bed, wonderful sheets and pillows. Hot buffet breakfast with green peppermint tea. :)
Wonderful Hotel !
I have stayed at this hotel 4 different times & I have nothing but positive things to say about this property. The hotel is nice and the rooms are up to date & modern . The staff are very friendly and helpful . The breakfast has many great choices and is hot and delicious. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Savannah area !
My husband and I just stayed at this Best Western for three nights. It was very clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the shower nozzle wasn't strong enough and I didn't like the biscuits, gravy and eggs and they only served sausage. If you just like cereal, fruit and yogurt for breakfast you will be okay. The coffee was good and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. There is a Cracker Barrel in walking distant, other fast food ,grocery and amusement park and the air force museum was in walking distant and very interesting. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.
Skip this BW! We reserved a suite, to accommodate 5 people, one week prior to our stay. Upon arrival, tired from a long drive, we were told our suite was not available. We were offered a standard room (queen, love seat bed) and told it would sleep 4 and they would bring up a roll-away bed for our fifth. The room could only sleep 3 in the queen and sofa, so we needed 2 roll-away beds, which were provided.
The bathroom had not been cleaned. There was used bar soap near the sink, no towels, and the tub appeared used. The carpet in the room had crushed Lucky Charms cereal on it, and had not been vacuumed. A bedside stand had dried sticky liquid residue, which had not been wiped down.
My husband and I stayed here while visiting Savannah. We were greeted by Eddie the desk manager. He was so helpful and provided exceptional service!! We came in contact with several other employees through out our stay who also provided the same friendly service and we're delightful to speak with. Our room was very clean and was just what we needed. Thanks overall hotel smelled wonderful too- some places you visit have a must smell- not this one!! We will be staying here again. Great job by Eddie and his staff.
Good hotel, decorated nice. Was very clean, looked almost new. Service was great! Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable. Would stay there again. Did have one issue, but it was taken care of.
exceptionally friendly staff especially front desk. Room great. Beds comfortable and clean. Breakfast good. Indoor pool nice. Hot tub was not working. Overall a great experience and conveniently located just off the interstate
Good hotel with great amenities. However, not all of them were available for us, which was a huge letdown for the price we paid. The hot tub stopped working the last night we stayed, it was colder than the heated pool. (which barely even felt heated) The lady at the desk didn't seem to care it was not working and said she'd "write it in the book". We understand things like that happen, but they did not show any concern or offer any type of compensation. Said they would give the manager our number but we never received a call. Also our bathroom door didn't stay shut or lock. There were no rooms with Jacuzzi tubs in the room at this hotel, the front desk girl said they were being "renovated" but that they hadn't been used in a long time. Breakfast was OK, not good, but edible if you were hungry and there were SOME decent options. Not a bad stay but definitely not worth the cost some nights!!
