I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! Horrible experience!! We had tickets to universal, but they still made us pay a cover. Two drinks cost $28. They have it set up so you walk in & see a big stage with lights, so you think you will sing up there, so you pay the cover. Next, you are funneled to the bar, where, still under the impression people will do karaoke, you order shockingly bad exhorbantly overpriced drinks. Now, you walk around looking for a place to sit with your drink, but every table has a reserved sign on it. So, you figure you will put your drink on something & wait for the dance music to stop, & watch someone sing. EVERY SINGLE SURFACE WHERE YOU WOULD NORMALLY PUT A DRINK IS ROUNDED WOODWORK! Now, people are thinking “let’s go upstairs; maybe it is different”. So, now you are in a hot, packed elevator that you have stood with your drink & waited for 10 min. You think you are going up one floor, but the door close & elevator isn’t moving. When it does start to move, the doors finally open & you are in some sort of basement & cant get off. So, you stay on the elevator with everyone else, only to end up on the first floor again. Now, completely melted from sauna elevator, you decide to take the packed stairs that you must finagle with what is left of your drink. Now, you are upstairs & EVERY TABLE HAS A “RESERVED” sign. Only dance music is still playing & nobody is dancing. You finally get the attention of an employee, whom you have to wait for to finish their conversation with other employees, and you ask them “what’s going on here” This turns out to be a waitress who tells you she needs $200 for a bottle & then you can have a table. If you are a normal person, at this point, YOU ARE DONE! Forget about the $30 cab ride, the no fair cover charge, the outrageous cost of your drink, you will be happy to leave. THIS IS A CLUB & you are NOT A MEMBER!!

I love to sing, and the friendly, helpful staff at this wonderful establishment, really make me want to come again, and recommend it to my friends. Rising Star truly is the Best Karaoke Bar on the planet.

So much fun! Live band and back up singers. Place was a packed house on a Saturday night. You can reserve the tables on the dance floor and full liquor bars located in the back. The song list was extensive enough and included many genres that could suit many people.

Service is wonderful but spend 45 minutes to listen to 3 people sing Karaoke??? It's a live band but having to waste a hour hoping you get chosen ain't right.

Wasted four hours waiting for my son and friends to perform and they were never chosen. However others were chosen multiple times. It is important for the Rising star’s management to change the way performers are chosen because random pulling from a bucket is not fair for all. Very disappointing ☹️☹️

If you like karaoke and good drinks, come here. A real band plays the music for you as well. Bring your universal annual pass to get in free.

What a fun concept. It's not new, but it's executed very well. If you have a squad that loves to do karaoke and/or dance and sing loudly, this is a perfect hangout place for locals and visitors alike! Drinks are expensive but the karaoke experience is really special. Check this place out!

This place was the reason for one of the best nights of my life! Karaoke was so much fun (great selection for a live band) and the drinks were good! Service was on point!

Started out as fun, even though drink was very weak, but we were overlooked time and time again for a karaoke spot. Others were selected 2x and many arrived after us that were selected. We were so looking forward to singing, so it put a strain on a good time. We left and told management what had happened. A reunion set for later this year will surely not include this karaoke spot as there are others in Orlando that are cleaner and serve great drinks. If you want to take a chance on wasting your money fine, but don't be surprised if you are over looked too. Also, I don't get why they preferred selecting mostly slow dreary songs instead of our upbeat selection. Definitely would not recommend if you want a guarantee fun night. Sorry..

Overall, a very disappointing experience. There are a lot of better options in City Walk. Over-priced, watered-down drinks, inattentive wait staff. I could go on. I assume the positive reviews were written by management or their marketing consultants.

A lot of fun! Was in Orlando for a business trip and we stumbled upon this place! For as busy as they were, I was surprised there was only 1 bartender. However, he was keeping pace with every order. I was highly impressed with his service. The host and backup singers were great.
