BEWARE. BED BUGS. I wish I would have checked the reviews. My husband and I found a small bug before we went to bed. I wrote it off to a random bug but then I saw another bug on the beD the next morning. We took both bugs to the front desk and the clerk nicely identified them as bed bugs. She said she would discuss with the manager and we would not be charged. Wrong!! The manager had her call me (I thought this warranted him calling me. Go Figure) and said $25 would be taken off my bill. WOW. Now I have to worry with the possibility of bringing home a bug. Nasty . . . Don't be fooled by the nice lobby.

The hotel itself did not seem to be that bad, but the clientele that the price point and the attached sports bar attracted were loud well into the night, and several times men with loud radios were calling out names and banging on doors into the evening hours.
The staff was really nice, and the room was clean (awesome water pressure, always a huge plus).response / report this review -

This is an older hotel, however, the rooms are very clean and updated. The outdoor area by the pool is extremely nice. In addition to the pool area they offer tables and grills for your use. Coffee is available 24/7 and the staff was exceptionally nice.

HORRIBLE. Didn't even stay a full night due to BED BUGS. As soon as not only I, but my son & his father realized we were getting bit by something, it was time to investigate what exactly was biting us. Unfortunately I came To the discovery of these nasty bugs on my pillow I was using.
Of course I brought this to the front desk - pillow, bed bugs on the pillow and my disgust.
The woman at the front desk, the really short rude woman may I say, explained to us that we could switch rooms. I was not rude what so over to this woman simply because I know she is not management, therefore she can not do anything about it until management gets here. BUT, she told me management would be here at 7 and then changed it to 9. Also, she would send cleaning services to the room and maintenance to check it out in the morning.. I explained to her that bed bugs are only present during the night time and they would be very hidden during the day, that something needs to be done about it NOW. She said no, it will have to wait until the morning. 6:44 am and I'm impatiently waiting to speak to manager about the issue with the bugs AND their rude staff. I will be getting my money back, regardless of what they think. Not worth the money, time or being bit to stay here. Find another GOOD location!response / report this review -

Great location for those who want to walk to shops and food. I am a smoker - so really liked that they odder smoking rooms. GREAT STAFF!!

The room was great and the staff really friendly. My wife and I are celebrating our fourth anniversary and they upgraded our room and gave us a free breakfast as a congratulations. When I speak to the staff it's always very professional with yes sir or no sir.

I will give it a 3.5 because it's a simple motel, but it's clean and comfortable with all the general amenities. I'm somewhat picky about things being decent, and this place was very acceptable. No complaints. Very satisfactory for the price. My daughter is excited about attending UNC next year, and I will stay here again. You may read other questionable reviews that might have you second-guessing. I was like that at first, but I took all the reviews into consideration and concluded that the negative ones were most likely the same typical ones you're going to get with reviews from anywhere. There will always be some isolated incidents with any business.

Very nice place and very clean. The staff is super friendly and will help in any way possible. The furniture is a little dated, but comfortable.

I checked in with no problems. Front desk was helpful and very personable. Rooms could be updated a little, but for the most part not bad. Free WiFi and close to a grocery store which is nice. My room does not have a mini fridge which is a pain since I am here all week.
