I arrived in extreme pain and was seated in the waiting room. 4 people came in after me and were seen within 10 minutes. I had to come close to collapsing before being seen.NEVER GO HERE IF YOU ARE IN PAIN!!!
If you don't like this hospital. go to Gaston memorial hospital. you and find out what horrible service really is. Carolina Medical is really like a hotel. A 5 star hotel !!!! With all the Bells whistles!! 😁
This hospital is incredible (5 star!) but this post is about parking garage C (visitor parking Blythe deck) on Blythe Blvd next to Levine Children's Hospital. I've been coming to this hospital for 3 months and for 2 of those months I have dealt with their parking garage every single day at least twice a day. While I'm coming out of the garage at about 12:30pm I notice that there are a ton of parking spaces. I will see at least 30 or more on my way out. I will see that the attendant will have the parking full sign out and be waving parents away. I have seen this time and time again and parents are forced to go to another busier garage that is further from where they need to be and forced to navigate through a busy and confusing hospital to get to their loved ones. It will take on average an additional 20-30 minutes to park. Today I told the parking attendant that were were plenty of spaces and he agreed that there were a lot of open spaces. I then said to him that there are parents that are trying to see their children and he should let people in. He then told me to "mind my business" and proceeded to yell at me. I then drove away and filed a formal complaint. My other complaint is that he is not there when people do need assistance. A woman was having difficulty getting the ticket out of the machine and the attendant was no where around, I had to get out of my car and assist her. Another time the divider had malfunctioned and no one could get in and he, again, was not at his post. He finally walked over and fixed it after people were already turning around. This is ridiculous and this man does NOT deserve to work there. The last thing a parent should be worried about is trying to find parking when they're trying to get to their sick child. This is unacceptable.
First time diner. Everything LOOKED delicious. Settled on the quesadilla bar. BIG mistake. Awful. Soggy to the point that it fell apart when I tried to pick it up to eat it. Wasted 7.00. Still hungry. Didnt see a manager anywhere to tell about the bad .preparation
This place is lovely. I had a weird allergic reaction of some sort so my lip flared. I tried to wait it out but decided to go to the hospital. I was prepared for a long wait and run around like normal hospitals. I got there at 330am and left at 6. The nurses and doctors were lovely, informational and cared. Once I signed in. I only waited 5 mins to be called into a room and maybe another 30 for the doctor to come. He was the only ER doctor one but very fast and professional. When I left the staff all said bye and feel better and just really help turn around my cappy night when I came there in tears!
Horrible experience I can see them doing harm easily, 6 out of 10 nurses were horrible & lie lie lie & do not want to work I've received more professionalism at the supermarket BTW I was in surgery on the 19th never once was I washed/bathed lay there in tremendous pain & have to smell your own sweat body odor, just plain horrible I do not understand what goes on I had a very bad car accident in 1990 I was 19 yrs old & everyone in Bellevue hospital treated me like a king & they were so loving and caring made you feel happy to be there that after my 8 months recovery & physical therapy I volunteered my time at the hospital to help make a difference in somebody else's life regardless of how I was treated I would love to be able to do so at Levines
I do not recommend this hospital for having a baby. We called on the way to have some one meet us at the front to check my wife in and park our car. Of course neither thing was done. Then we get to the 8 th floor for them to tell us our 12 year daughter can't come in and she has to wait in not a waiting room but a actual patient room by her self. By this time I'm fed up and tell my wife I'm dropping my daughter off with her aunt. My wife then proceeds to tell me that she's second in line to get a room since they are full and don't have any available rooms. How? You just stuck my daughter in one! I am currently trying to switch to Presbyterian hospital where my first child was born and had no such issues. Really frustrated about how elementary this hospital operates.
Great healthcare! They had a pediatric on site which took forever to find a place that does and it was very kid friendly. Lab tests were done and a full physical for a child. Is disappointing that it took so long to find a place with this care but I'm glad I did.
Best care I could have asked for for my family. EVERYONE was so nice. Doctors and nurses were amazing, attentive, and caring. Even environmental services staff were amazing and friendly. Seriously great staff. Clean and modern rooms. Great food options for family.
My grandmother went in to CMC due to major blockage, She arrived Sunday night a doctor told us Monday there was nothing they could do for her. Then turn around Tuesday and another doctor advised we can probably do surgery and repair the damage. After they finally done a ultrasound they never let us know the results of the ultrasound or if they were even going to be able to do surgery!!!! Finally surgery on Thursday while waiting (surgery was suppose to be max. 4 hours) we finally heard at 5:45 that they were finishing up..Didn't hear anything until 2 and 1/2 hours later that she was in recovery and about to be back in her room. No consult from the surgeon afterwards NOTHING from ANYONE we didn't even know if the surgery worked, If there was complications NOTHING. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL place HUGE LACK OF COMMUNICATION between doctors, Nurses, Surgery waiting room receptionist to patients family. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone!!!!!!
The parking is an absolute nightmare, to start with. We went to ER parking and the attendant, who knew her lot was full, let us waste time by allowing us in to tool around for a spot, then when we returned to her gate and let her known it was full, she said she knew, then directed us to a parking deck about a block away. I had to track down a wheelchair for my mother who couldn't walk due to her emergancy. Update your parking!!!!
Then we were sent to a waiting room FOR another waiting room. We spent 8 hours waiting to just be seen and treated for something that should have only taken 3 hours at the most. Their patient flow is horrible. Hire more people, eliminate the extra waiting room (because that crazy inefficient) and require that doctors who start a patient, finish a patient before they clock out. We were forgotten multiple times when there were shift changes. Never coming here again.
The Rehabilitation hospital is over whelmed with head and brain injuries and rehab. This hospital has been around for 30+ years and they still have not hired more help or updated the facility . I have been trying to get into see a PTBI therapist for 7 weeks and just day they tell me she is out of the COUNTRY and has been in and out of her job for over a month!!! They don't communicate well with patients and the young lady I spoke with today was rude. When I nicely corrected her she became hostile and lied. When I redirected her she was just plain lying. This hospital has seen its day, and its over crowded and has few doctors. For a world class hospital who prides itself on the Levin Children's hospital all over town, it need a complete over haul and new staff that cares for the patients and does not lie.
I spent 25 days hospitalized here. No matter where you go there will be people that don't do their job but my overall experience was really good. The majority of my nurses and doctors were very kind, compassionate, professional and friendly. The overall atmosphere is very clean friendly. As hospitals go, I would definitely take a loved one here for treatment. My only objection is the constant rotation of nurses and doctors makes it hard to really pin point consistent care or allow them to get to know you as a patient.
Overall the employees here are really on point. It is obvious this hospital system as a whole cares about having good reviews and always coming out on top. Much appreciated. I had the best and top of the line experience, bar none. They have great management, stellar customer service skills, and great bedside manners.
