This place is huge. The parking gets complicated there's really not a whole lot of directions how to find parking there and when you do find it usually have to walk away. When you're inside the convention it's easy to get lost thinking as they're assigned spunkiness to the direction that we needed to go but it looks like it was set up by the people that Expo that we went to not so much the convention center. The restrooms are nice and clean in all the areas that we went to I wish it was easier to navigate through the building though. And as for parking I wish they would have more signs showing you which direction you need to go. Overall though it's a very nice building easy access to get into the building and very large areas to run big Expo.

I went to the Salt Palace for a concert that was happening so this review is based on that night alone. First and foremost there is 2 parking lots, when those are full they have more lots throughout the blocks for overflow. Depending what room you are heading to the walks to some of them are pretty far. The one we went to was a 10 minute walk. If you are going for a dance wear comfortable shoes.

Great place to attend a conference. The Salt Palace has everything you would expect from a large conference venue and compares favorably with other venues that I have frequented across the country. I really enjoy the artwork outside the main entrance. The location is really great in downtown Salt Lake . It is near a Trax (light rail) station and a lot of restaurants. There is great shopping and food within walking distance at the City Creek Center. Also, the Salt Palace is very close to historic Temple Square which is the most popular tourist attraction in Salt Lake (and it's free). There isn't a lot of street parking but there are a lot of hotel and commercial parking structures close by.

We attended the ridge Tech Convention at the Salt Palace Convention Center and we had to park about a block away because their parking lot was already filled by 10 a.m.. but everything else went smooth. There were concession stands they got us checked in right away the room was large enough to hold everyone on the convention itself was very awesome!

RootsTech convention was well attended and swelled to a population of approximately 18000 on Saturday yet the Salt Palace easily accommodated the crowd. Concessions were plenitude & high quality & a bit pricey. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Lavatories were kept clean & well stocked. The spacious meeting rooms in the building felt roomy & comfortable & were easy to locate.

I've been here for Comic Con three times and I loved it. Everything is a bit over priced but that's what you should expect at conventions. One if the elevators broke and the doors weren't closing but when we stepped in it jerked upward and scared us.

This is a beautiful open spaced convention center. The layout gives lots of options for event holders and many places for event attendees to wonder and explore. The architecture is very modern from the large windows to the stylish pillars just to name a few. I enjoyed my visit to the comic con event and would like to come back for another or perhaps a different even. Park may be an issue. But if you do not mind walking and parking in the surrounding parking garages that's also an option.

Attended a conference at this convention center. The area was decorated beautifully, lots of time & effort went into making sure everything was just right. This convention center has the capability to hold more than 30,000 people in it and sit that many comfortably in each of the Halls. One night we had a Gala event that the convention center served a dinner for this event. We had steak, salmon, asparagus and rice. Every aspect of the dinner was catered beautifully and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend attending this convention center for events in the future.

It's a nice place for conferences and located conveniently near the City Creek Mall so it's easy to access food and shopping. But it's large enough that it's easy to get lost inside if there aren't clear signs for your conference. I've been there a couple times and been easily lost both times. There is parking under ground, but I believe it does cost. They handle large conferences well and have a good sound system in their presentation hall. They do well keeping the bathroom clean during the busy conferences.

Large space to hold multiple conferences at once. Art on the hallway is a nice added feature. Some employees are extra happy while others seem to just be doing what they have to do.

Great convention center space. I was there for a conference and was impressed at how clean and well kept the facilities were. When we did see Salt Palace employees, they were so kind and helpful!

I've been to a few different events/cons here. Great location. I park at my work near the Vivint Center and walk up. I'm not sure if they actually have parking, but there are plenty of public parking nearby.

Beautiful convention center centrally located downtown Salt Lake City. Conveniently located between several hotels, restaurants and shopping, all within walking distance! A rental car isn't necessary unless you plan to see other sites outside of The vicinity. The staff at the convention center was always very helpful, and the general areas were kept clean. The catered meal was actually really good, served hot, and the staff was prompt and courteous. Our group was one of 2 or 3 groups in attendance at the same time, and never did we have overlap or run into the other groups. Really nicely laid out event center, plenty of restrooms and escalators. I highly recommend this location for events. The only thing I can not comment on is the pricing if you are an event planner or the organizer of an event.

Very beautiful Convention center. Nice floor plan and numerous size rooms plus a lot of restrooms throughout. Way to go SLC nicely done. Close to local hotels, restaurants and light rail train a block away. That runs to the Airport..
