We stayed here before catching a flight out the next day. The shuttle service is great. Our room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the pool while we were there as well. The only thing negative I can say is that the AC in the room made an awful rattling noise that kept waking us up.
Beware-No security cameras in the parking lot at this hotel. My husband and I were there for a bridal show and thought it would be fun to bring the kids along and make a weekend of it-they could enjoy the pool while we worked the show. The pool was nice as well as the room and cleanness of the hotel. No complaints there. However, sometime between 10-11 at night the rear window of our blazer was completely smashed in and half of my husbands DJ equipment was stolen. We were informed by hotel staff that there are no security cameras in the parking lots. I'm sure the thieves have figured this out and probably target this area a lot, knowing the chances of getting caught are very low. Despite the HIlton family being multi-billionaires they evidently can't afford to install security cameras-or they just don't care about their guests enough to bother.
I will stay at the DoubleTree again. The rooms were large and the executive lounge experience was pretty good. They also have balconies! It has become rare for hotel rooms to have a balcony or if they do, they seal them off. This hotel has balconies large enough to sit out on in the morning with coffee and something to read and enjoy the peaceful courtyard setting.
The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The lobby has some nice sitting area and a Starbucks cafe. The dining has good food options and the bar is well stocked. There's plenty of parking and the pool/hot tube was nice! My favorite part of the stay is always the warm cookies at the front desk. The only issue I had was the layout of one of the wings of the hotel. You have to use a different elevator that's a bit hard to find to get to those levels. Other then that I really enjoyed my stays.
Double Tree is my choice for hotels when on vacation. This particular double tree is well maintained and lives up to the Hilton brand experience. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $23 per night upgrade for access to the executive lounge, you get a solid breakfast, light dinner, and throughout your stay, endless waters, juices, soda, snacks. There's also a nice lake it faces if you want to take a walk.
The Double Tree Hilton hasd a really nice lobby with any inviting fireplace. As the weather is just turning cold, i really wanted to sit down with a cup of coffee and a good book. There is also a nice pond with manicured landscaping to the south. It was a relaxing atmosphere and I regretted the fact that I had to go back to work.
Very close to the airport, but absolutely nothing else. No restaurants or convenient stores are close by. The beds (At least in my room) were sub-par. I've been here at least 3 times, each time there is something wrong with the shower. I've literally had to wash myself in a trickling stream. The staff was friendly, but that's the only memorable thing.
Friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Television in room could be a bit larger though. And it is s bit of a long walk to the High Rise Tower. Overall a very pleasant place to stay.
I have stayed at several Hilton properties throughout the city, and this is by far my favorite. Staff is incredibly helpful, and nice. Rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The property for this hotel is quite large, with it's own lake. If you like to bird watch, several species of duck are in this lake, along with lots of other wildlife in the area. This location has a Starbucks, a bar, a restaurant, and an executive lounge. Food at the bar and restaurant is good, and fairly priced. The only downside to this hotel is that there isn't much around it. No stores, or restaurants really within walking distance. There is a bunch or stuff about 6 miles down the road though. I thoroughly enjoy my stay here when I am in town.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE. They gave us the worst room (ROOM NO 180) though we made our reservation in advance. Our room was filled with the terrible and abnormal smell of chloride, which we could not stand any second. There must be something going on in that room. The housekeeper even said the staff at the front desk should not have let new guests stay at that room since it had just been sterilized. The staff said the hotel was fully booked so we could not get a new room, but the housekeeper said there were still rooms available. HOW FUNNY. We immediately checked out and went to another hotel nearby. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Wish I could give it a negative rate.
They welcomed us with cookies!! I stayed in one of the towers so to get to the elevators was a bit of a walk. The hotel was very nice. The room was cozy, and well kept. Great hot water pressure. As always if there's not free Breakfrest, there should always be free breakfast at hotels!
The clerk up front was nice and quick getting us checked in. Showed up to room and part of the floor was through the socks wet and we called to the front to get it fixed. Very accommodating, moved us rooms in a matter of minutes. When we left we got additional complimentary cookies and some waters. Nice people and very willing to fix a mistake as quickly and smoothly as possible
Got cookies at check in. But I choose my hotels by how nice their pools and hot tubs look online when I'm trying to decide where to stay. And I got a surprise after I checked in and went out to eat. Got the swim suit on and walked to the poolit is closed for at least a week. If I would have known this I wouldn't have chosen to stay here. The hotel is super old and has a odd smell about it but has been remodeled. Hugely disappointed by Hilton. Hilton is usually a higher end hotel .
Even though this is a nicely renovated and competitively priced hotel, I can't in good conscience come back for another stay. Here's my concern and perhaps some insight as to why I wasn't given their preference:
I booked through a travel deals app. Showed my AAA card upon arrival. Was told NO. Have four kids and booked here primarily for the pool. Pool closed, with no disclosure on their personal website. Decided to go elsewhere. asked for refund. Told NO. Asked for a consolation room upgrade. Told NO. They were fully booked. Asked for a room to gather with friends and kids instead of pool area. Told NO, but their sales manager did reach out to me for a $100 hourly conference room rental.
So I was a first-time customer with four young kids, who didn't come to them directly for the booking. I see all these things as negatives. But still, I struggle spending money without feeling some care towards customer satisfaction from the business.
Super convenient to get to/from the airport. Staff is friendly and check-in was super smooth and quick. Rooms are very clean and well kept. Bathrooms are a little small, but have all of the amenities. There aren't a lot of good breakfast options, or drink options in the VIP lounge, but it's on par for what you'd expect at this type of hotel. Overall a great experience and we'll likely stay the next time I'm in town for business.
