I am one of 3 ladies who hosted a baby shower at The Bowers Hotel yesterday. This place is a hidden gem. If you're looking for the perfect location for your own shower or party and asking yourself if this would be a good fit the answer is, hands down, Y-E-S.
We searched the Macungie, Emmaus, Kutztown, & even Pottstown areas high & low for a good venue but had no peace until we found The Bowers Hotel. Bonnie, the manager, makes everything easy and acceptable. She's happy to help and doesn't make you feel like your questions and requests are a burden - that's not the case with all managers; her great attitude was a breath of fresh air.
The event server was also above and beyond in her professionalism and helpfulness. She had a great attitude that helped put everyone at ease.
The hotel's event room is quaint and charming. It was THE PERFECT place for our baby shower. Everyone had a relaxed, peaceful time in an elegant setting. The ambiance of the room is very satisfying and with the Fall accents we splashed around (orange and yellow leaves, a few strings of LED lights etc.) plus lit candles, it created an ideal atmosphere - the one you only dream of but don't think exists.
All of this to say, The Bowers Hotel is unbeatable. Everyone had a first class experience here.response / report this review -

This place is a phenomenal place to eat! First your met with happy employees and then the food OH THE FOOD!! Whoever is cooking is awesome the flavor is their but not knocking you out and then desert my god the chocolate cannoli has to be hands down the best combo I have had umm EVER!! Just wanted a little piece of the cannoli cookie as garnish to complete it but man Oh man I am full

Bowers Hotel is a hidden gem in Berks County. The food is delicious and the service is great. Prices are good. The weekday specials are super! One of our favorites.

We always enjoy visiting Bowers Hotel. The food is always fresh and hot, service is pleasant, Sunday Brunch is very tasty, and don't forget to check out their specials. They have different features every night if the week. Only drawback is that when the dining room is full it can get a bit noisy.

While visiting the area, I decided to investigate this inviting, stone restaurant. There were two entrances, one for the Saloon and one for Dining. This was neither lunch or dinner time, but there were a few private parties in progress. The friendly staff greeted and invited me to take a seat in the bar area.
Historical charm of Pennsylvania restaurants is always a plus. Bowers Hotel's stone walls, old windows with lace curtains, an old upright piano with stained glass, plus a long antique bar and mirror, was part of the ambiance. One of my favorite attractions was the vintage sign over the bar"Be Nice or Leave".
Sara was my very pleasant and historically informative server. Good presentation of small neck oysters, which were served on a plate in netting, with melted butter in a candle lit warmer, continued the ambiance.response / report this review -
