I was an outpatient at the school for several months, ignore the moronic reviews of this place. This place is a very comfortable, safe and enjoyable environment, which is exactly what I needed after such an awful event.
I wish I can give no stars. This place sucks. If you love care for your child don’t send them there. My time here totally sucked.
One of the best children's Hospital in the area
I was their in 1985 , I was 16 years old and has been in and out of hospitals because I was suffering from a Childhood bone dissease.
When my docter recommended that I go their to complete my therapy, it was the best thing that ever happend to me .
I still remember the $21 allowance and the once a week we get to order food from outside .
I was in the blue unit . That place is still imprinted in my mind because I was a teenager from the inner-city who lived with his father. Those 4 or 5 month have never left my mind . Am 48 years old now but I want to say thank you to all the staff and people who accepted us and shaped us
Can I give NO STARS???
DON'T GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. THEY WILL SUCK YOUR INSURANCE DRY AND KICK YOU OUT. THEIR SOCIAL WORKERS ARE FOR THE MOST PART BILL COLLECTORS AND THE PHYSICAL THERAPIST ARE LIKE A CENTURY BEHIND MODERN SCIENCE. ALL THE THERAPIST SEEM TO WANT TO CUT THE SESSIONS SHORT OR CUT THEM UP THROUGHOUT THE DAY SO THEY CAN LEAVE BEFORE 5PM. THE KIDS ARE MISERABLE BECAUSE THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO AFTER THERAPY AND THE SCHOOL IS TERRIBLE. THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE IF THESE KIDS LEARN ANYTHING. DON'T GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!
IT LOOKS NICE BUT YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
This is honestly the worst hospital we've ever been to. My daughter was diagnosed with a feeding disorder and is 5 months old. She was transferred from westchester medical center and there she gained a couple of ounces on the feeding tube. Once she was transferred to Blythedale she began to LOSE weight. Her doctor is not on top of her case whatsover and shrugs off her weight loss. She is incredibly underweight and his unprofessional and flippant attitude is not ok. In addition, the nurses are incredibly rude. Sometimes she gets food an hour and a half late - hello! We are here just for the food!! Not only that, she was transferred to get therapy for her feeding disorder which she receives 15 min a day for five days a week! They don't attempt to get her to eat on the bottle anymore (which means they don't try to help fix her disorder) and instead they make her drink through a straw. Only 15 min a day. Which means she'll never get off the tube which was put in TEMPORARILY by westchester medical center. I do not recommend anyone to go this hospital! I'm FURIOUS that we were sent here. She would thrive better at home in a comfortable environment.
I was admitted here many years ago when i couldnt walk and when i moved out of state i left walking
What a waste of my time and insurance money. Horrible in every way.
I love this place they are so loving and caring my son had the best care the teachers and nursing and everyone is awesome
My Son was transported to Blythedale by ambulance from Virginia as my Wife and I followed We arrived in the evening and was warmly met by the staff including being fed diner which included the Chef introducing himself and asking if we needed anything else. My Wife has stayed in the hospital with our Son since his arrival (I commute back and forth with our young daughter) and has been made to feel right at home. My Son has received good care including their sensitivity in assigning him a room mate. The new facility is child friendlly, the therapy is is very good and the medical staff is great. By the way the on-site school is a great thing.
