Absolutely, one of the best experiences a pet owner could have. The staff at Lifetime genuinely cared for my beloved Sailor. Dr. Barry saw Sailor on 3/2/18. Sailor's health had been decreasing over the past two years and Friday, 3/30/18 he became ill. We had to bring Sailor in for a visit on 3/31/18. Test results were not positive. I made the decision to let Sailor go to heaven. Dr. Keairnes did an amazing job ensuring my pup of 11.5 years was comfortable and at peace. I will be forever grateful for the care Sailor received at Lifetime Animal Center. Thank you so very much. Sincerely,
Cary Skelton Pitman

For several months I was faced with some life situations and was frantic to find a good boarding clinic that could also medically treat my fur baby. I felt I was lucky in finding the Lifetime Animal Clinic. I left my guy in their care for a couple of months. Longer than I had anticipated or planned for. The staff seemed very accommodating, caring and understanding. They took good care of my much loved cat in the time I had to have him there. Finally I was able to have him back with me. During his stay they had treated his infected gums, along with an ear infection and updated him with all of his vaccinations. Several months after bringing him home, he again started to get sick. He is an elder feline and has bad teeth and infected gums. I assumed at some point he may have to have his teeth removed but when I had picked him up, not one thing had been said to me about this so I thought maybe he is good to go. Several months after bringing him home he was again getting sick. So I returned to the clinic with my sick little guy. Mid morning. I was informed they were extremely busy but they would get to him as soon as possible and would give me a call with a diagnosis when they did. By evening, between 5&6, I had heard nothing so I called to check on his status only to be told that, no he had not been given any antibiotics nor was he going to get any unless I made a surgery appointment to have his teeth extracted. This was told to me in a most disrespectful and threatening manner over the phone. So I found a ride to the clinic to pick up my feline and to see what was going on. Upon entering the clinic I was met by what seemed to be three very hostile assistants with their arms crossed and a stern look before acknowledging me called, I'm guessing, the veterinary assistant, to insure enforcement of the threat made earlier over the phone to me because I had replied in a defensive manner when threatened with no antibiotics unless I made this surgery appointment. Had this been addressed with professionalism and a discussion as to setting up an appointment, I would have been very compliant in setting up a surgery date. I was taken aback and was very rudely informed that my cat would not be given any medicine to make him better if I did not at that very moment agree to and make a surgery appointment for removal of his teeth. I had no problem with getting him the proper care, always agreeing to what was requested. But for them to deny him antibiotics based on if I agreed to schedule a surgery, that the assistant could not even give me a proper estimate for, was completely unprofessional and cruel. I felt bullied and angered and disappointed over how I was being treated and that they would allow my innocent guy to suffer. They would have allowed him to remain sick or get even sicker by refusing to treat him if I did not immediately comply with their demands. I was a paying client. With a sick fur baby. I had nothing but rave reviews for them and the clinic until this horrible treatment. Maybe if there had been some sort of previous discussion about this situation I would have been more forthcoming in setting up a surgery date. But there had been no such conversations between myself and any of the vets or vet assistants at Lifetime, after all the time my baby had spent there and the numerous times I had gone to visit him during that time seems to me they could have mentioned what he was going to be needing and some sort of cost for said treatment. My little guy seemed to be healthier so I figured they had fixed him. Never expected that I would later be treated so horribly. Very disappointing. How can I trust them to give him proper care if they were going to refuse him required antibiotics that he badly needed? I did receive antibiotic even though I felt bullied into setting up a surgery date. I don't think I have ever been treated so horribly as I was that evening. I love my fur baby and all I wanted was a good safe place to make sure he stays healthy, that would treat us both with respect and kindness.
They've always shown the utmost concern and respect for all our animals, from the turtles to cats to dogs. Even come in on "Scout Sunday" for an emergency C-section for my daughter's cat. I really LOVE the staff here. Always professional and caring.
The staff was so awesome! They were friendly and very gentle with my kitten. I was so amazed, they comforted him so well that when they gave him his shots he was still purring!
I didn't have a crate for him yet, and the lady at the front desk told me I shouldn't have to stress about my kitten when I drive, or when I'm carrying him inside, so she told me to borrow one of theirs and return it at my convenience. They were so kind and trusting and I would drive all the way from my hometown just to have any of my pets treated by them.
My dog's behavior suddenly changed, and I knew that something wasn't right. Our regular vet could not see us the day that I called, but I was really worried and did not want to wait. Lifetime got us in same day, even though my dog isn't their patient. We saw Dr. Berry, and I was really impressed. He was thorough and I appreciated that he involved me in the plan of care for my dog. Great place! Would recommend.
We had an emergency with our dog on Sunday afternoon and the vet who took care of us was kind, caring, and very compassionate to us in our time of need. Thank you very much.
This is the best veterinary clinic! 100% professional and caring of both pet and human.
My mother's dog who visited lifetime, was brought in on a Thursday. She had requested an x-ray be done, had been quoted the price et cetera, the vet Barry calls to inform me he did an exam, not an x-ray, as requested. He says oh, haha I can say the healthiest thing is his ears. Then goes on with a laundry list of medical issues, to be expected since the dog is 13 yo. Accuses someone of filing down his teeth, which was not done. Says he has heart disease the meds monthly will be 160. Says over the phone my mom can get enough meds to get her til the seventh of June as she didn't have enough at the time for an entire months supply. Go to pick him up, decided to renage on giving enough meds. Gives meloxicam and sends him off, total of 130. By Sunday he's much worse, and it's emergency vet time. Says we better have him there in 15-20 min. Idk what the or else was. Get him there. He begins examining his lower back. The dog freaks out, as no extra staff were there to restrain him, naturally he falls approx.4 feet off the counter, which I'm sure was great on his degenerative arthritis, finally decided to do an x-ray. Says to my mother pre x-ray it's time to start thinking of end of life choices. Does x-ray. Says degenerative arthritis in multiple vertebrae. Continues to hint toward euthanasia as the best option as he will have good and bad days from here on out. My mom is distraught, he spoke to her as if she was supposed to make the decision right then and there. One cannot do that with someone they love, he was very inconsiderate(also she had to come to the er vet while at work, he knew this too.) He became extremely irascible and arrogant, left to go get his meds together. Time for the bill. Posted on the front desk is a paper stating a 10% military discount will be given with an active duty ID. My wife is the militant, currently deployed, (which I explained to him) so I showed my ID, as she and I were the ones paying for the visit. He took it, looked at it, handed it back. Then just holds out his hand and I ask, did you need to see the ID again to which he replies, no, I need a credit card, debit or cash. After seeing my ID he refused the military discount on another 200 bill. This place is a joke. The main vet is arrogant and intolerable as well as homophobic. Do not take your loved ones here. They're unpatriotic bigots.
I am very blessed to have such wonderful people with such big hearts. They saved our Miss WenZday. When they could've turned us away. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
THE SMITH FAMILY.
Both Vets are GREAT. A little on the high priced side, but you truly get what you pay for. Highly recommend.
We took our dog after realizing we needed emergency help with her. She rarely is so trusting of people but to my surprise the doctor was very good and had her at ease and relaxed through the visit. We were very happy and would recommend highly thanks
Had never been here before but received expert care by expert staff and doctors. Took very good care of our pet and us in an emergency situation. Very reasonably priced. Most importantly, they were friendly, genuine and caring.
Lifetime Animal Center treated all of my rabbits with care and compassion. I truly appreciated the low cost nail clippings. Their check ups were thorough and they helped me better my rabbits' diet. One was spayed and did very well afterwards, the clinic was very helpful with information. I look forward to taking my rabbits there again for their next nail trimmings.
If the vet believed the animal wouldn't survive why doesn't he tell you that? Instead he gave several meds and a shot, said nothing about her possibly not making it and sent us on our way. On the way home my animal started to have milky drainage from her nose and died. I took care of her for a week and she was doing better (still had a ways to go) except she was having a problem with one eye. 30 minutes after seeing the vet and she's dead. Called and their response was to inform us that they didn't think she would make it and asked if we wanted to pay for an autopsy at MU.
Drive to Concordia. Their vet isn't simply about making money.
We had a wonderful experience at Lifetime. We are new to the area and my dog has only ever been to a vet near our old house. He was stressed out and not feeling well, and they were so good with him. They also made this overwhelmed and worried pet owner feel at ease about the care he was getting, taking time to answer my questions and not make me feel like I was wasting their time. I was sad my furbaby didn't feel well, but I am thankful the experience helped me find a great, caring vet's office to keep going back to with our dog!
This vet office is amazing! We have been taking our dogs to them for several years now and they're always very helpful and nice. They know not only our dog's name and personality, but our names as well. They've gone above-and-beyond for us. Earlier this year, our older dog became very sick very rapidly and was past the point of being treated, so unfortunately, we had to make the hardest decision we've ever made -- our boy had to be put down. He was a pretty large dog -- about 80 lbs and when I called, I told them I didn't think I'd be able to load him into our truck, and they offered to come out to our house (about 25 minutes northeast of Warrensburg). The vet was extremely empathetic and I could tell she truly cared and understood. I will always take my animals to Lifetime.
Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They take good care of my cats when I left them there. When the cats didn't want to come to the tech to go home he asked me to come and get them so as to not stress them more than they already were. Then he carried the carrier to my car for me. When my dog had to be put to sleep, they were very good with me and understood the hard decision I had to make with that. I was not there when he was was put down, but Lifetime surprised me with a clay ornament with my dog's paw print and name on it. Then they donated to another animal fund in his name. They are the best, most caring Center and I don't consider taking my animals anywhere else, no matter the cost. Thank you, Lifetime!
