The veterinarian on duty was very thorough in examining my cat. Unfortunately, I only had checks and they don't take checks, so I wasn't charged for examination. Would I go back, yes I would. Very nice staff.

The staff very friendly and appreciated the quick appointment. I explained to staff what Oscars issue was when arranging appointment. At the appointment I explained again to vet what was going on. Throwing up. I told him I had changed his food thinking he had gotten a reaction from previous food.I told him that I had wormed him since his sickness. I told him possibly I thought Oscar had swallowed a squeaker from his new toy. Oscar had been throwing up for several days. I tried what I knew and what I had researched to do before making this appointment. Vet told me his esophagus could be inflamed swollen!!!! No kidding.. I am guessing that happens to humans and animals when you vomit.. He gave him a shot for "inflammation " and sent me home with medicine. I come home upset over how blahzay and non informative the appointment had been. AND of course Oscar gets sick on the way home. Look up the medication when at home to find out IT is wormer. Hmmm. Thanks!! Makes me afraid to take Oscar to get neutered. What's he going to come home without? I did NOT go to school to be a vet or a Dr. You should be able to trust these educated folks . I had one previous experience with this vet and swore not to go back. But had seen good reviews and thought I would try again But never again. I miss Dr. Means. Looking for new vet.

Holden Animal Clinic employees and staff are excellent they greet you with a smile and have a genuine care for your animal your pet your family member with four legs I will not go any place that won't treat my animal like family their professionalism in the examining room it's just as exact as a medical doctor since I moved to Missouri I will not go anywhere else except the Holden Animal Clinic they are the extreme best . We got a 7 week old Boxer on a Sunday and we got her first check up that following Thursday. Nice staff and very reasonable rates. Will keep going back.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars.

I only have ONE experience with this vet, and I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! It takes a lot to get me to write a bad review about anything, and this is one of those times.

Monday, I dropped my cat off to be declawed and neutered. Wednesday I picked him up, only to turn around and go back to the vet because he was bleeding horrendously in his crate. The receptionist giggled (trying to make light of the situation) and said "you didn't have a drop of blood on you when I put you in there squirt", to which I told her it wasn't funny. A day after surgery there's no reason to have a pool of blood on the crate floor. They "resealed" his paws, which opened back up again on the way home. They tried to say he could have pawed at the cage door, however my cat was beside me in the passenger seat sleeping. He didn't NOT paw at the cage.

When I got him home, I finally got a good look at his paws. They cut a couple pads on his feet, the surgical glue they used has failed to hold, and now he's being seen at another vet due to the absolute horrible job they did! He is in so much more pain than I have ever seen a cat in after a declaw.

The prices are cheap because the work is cheap.

DO NOT USE THIS VET!

I love the great care that my pets (dogs & cats) get from the doctors and staff at Holden Animal Clinic. Also, they have great prices for boarding our dogs when we go out of town. :) We moved here from a larger town and I feel blessed to have found a great place to bring my fur babies right here in Holden.

Love the people! Doctors are amazing. Very Clean! they will always work with you. They are all very understanding (: I love this clinic and would recommend it! I use it for my small animals and big animals! They are great!!!

I'm giving them 5 stars, and I'm NOT staff. Just a client who's used their service for our livestock and pets for years. They've saved two of our dogs that Dr Means in Warrensburg almost killed. The staff has always been very nice and helpful, the care has always been great, the office is always clean and doesn't smell horrible like other offices. He's spayed/neutered all of our dogs and cats with no complications. I will ALWAYS recommend this office, and will continue to go the extra couple of miles when my babies need care. Do I need to ask around your town, not really. I go by experience, not by word of mouth.
