I've loved Better World Books for over 6 years. They have free US shipping on all orders, and great prices. By buying you save books from landfills,a dn donate to literacy projects. I have been able to find 75% of the esoteric books I've searched for and have never been disappointed in the quality. I was even able to find a very rare book from my childhood for a fraction of other sellers.

I love shopping at Better World Books. The selection is great and I especially like that they have occasional sales. My one pet peeve is the stickers on the book binding--they rarely come off cleanly. I don't like the residue on my books. I file them alphabetically and the sticker always seems to cover part of the author's name!!! :( But--I overcome this and love the books. :)

Came in reasonable time. Was in excellent condition. Fair price. I am very satisfied. I had ordered this same book through an other on-line book resale vendor. They charged more for both the book and the shipping. They then cancelled the transaction claiming they needed more for the shipping. Won't be dealing with them again. My dad taught me once you make an agreement, you have made a commitment.

used to be a good place for good quality cheap books - now, more often than not, only good for cheap books. quality standards (condition of books) have dropped a lot & staff have attempted to dodge responsibility & shift blame. suffice to say, in large part i shop elsewhere where the overall standard is what this store USED to be. tip to all current & potential customers, read carefully the standard that the book is listed as & compare against what you receive. do NOT let this company rip you off & give you 'less' than what you paid for.

As a conscious consumer, it is important for me to consider the impact of my purchases I was excited to find Better World Books which not only helps the environment by promoting the resale of perfectly good second hand books - as well as giving sellers an easy outlet - and they also facilitate the donation of books to our communities. Can't wait to purchase again.

of books to choose from and are able to send them to the recipient in
a very short time. There is a selection of new books and used and a
big variety of types of books. I would definitely recommend Better
World Books to friends.

I've ordered more than 100 books over the last 5 years from Better World Books. I've always had a good experience ordering from them. Even the one time I got sent the wrong book, then refunded me immediately. Great place to get good books at a fantastic price and while encouraging literacy world wide!

I was fairly happy with my purchases from Better World Books. I was disappointed when one of the books I purchased was unable to be sent because while listed, it wasn't in their stock, however they refunded the price right away and the books arrived in the estimated time. Because of all of this, I will use Better World Books again because the prices are good and the shipping was free and I found the whole experience very pleasant and easier than Amazon.

I LOVE this site! I recommend it to everyone. I'm at graduate student with a love for actually owning the books I have read or will read while also having a very low budget, and this site makes it easy for me to buy books without the guilt. Besides, who doesn't love free shipping and no tax? They also have sales happening regularly. This is always the first site I visit when even just mildly interested in a book. Check it out-- you won't be disappointed.

You guys have done terrible things to the local book dealers in my state. You basically steal the books from our local libraries and hurt the locals. Who is this a better world for?? Yourselves while you line your own pockets. Your name is wearing out and your plan is getting foiled. I hope the new amazon fee increases puts you out of business. I would just love to see you guys crumble!!!

I ordered a book a week ago only to get online today to try to track my order, to find out they had canceled my order and had not even let me know they had done so! Now its less then one week away from my class (which has 3 assignments due upon arrival) and I don't have my book even on its way! When I ask why its been canceled no one seems to have any reason at all!!!! I'm so frustrated seems to be no one to contact with this 'business' that knows anything. Needles to say I don't be ordering books from again. Thank you for nothing.

I have ordered from BBW several times and often travel to their location only a couple miles from my home. I recently requested mail delivery due to a problem I experienced their several months ago. Now I am tracking my order as it travels the country even though it was picked up in the city where I live. Will I ever receive my order?
