The staff was very helpful and the room was adequate and close to LAX. The A/C unit in our room did not obey what the controls were set to (and no external thermostat in the room) and the elevator would apparently stay stuck in the open position on the fourth floor. It was going to be repaired soon account to the front desk. I did not partake in breakfast, but I did see boxes of unopened bulk baked goods which explicitly say on the box to "store in the freezer" and "keep 0 degrees F or below" stacked on top of the freezer at room temperature. Perhaps it is not a problem. Perhaps they thaw overnight. It was enough to turn me off of any baked good at the hotel. As a room to sleep in before a very early flight it was excellent. I would not recommend it for more than that however.
What to start with. What a great time we had and the continental breakfast was the best. Rooms very spacious. Love it here! Highly recommended. A must stay.
Spent 2 nights. It was clean enough but there was a stain on the carpet so we didn't exactly feel comfortable barefoot. Absolutely nothing to do around there. Nowhere to take a walk so it is convenient for LAX but you will need to drive anywhere you want to go.
I prefer Best Westerns and stay with them often. This was by far the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. The lobby was decent and the staff was cordial. Upon exiting the elevator on the way to our room we were greeted with an overwhelming odor of Marijuana. Then we had our immediate neighbors throwing a mini party, which included loud obnoxious noises and literally racing down the hall. It seemed to take too long for the hotel staff to actually address the rude and obnoxious behavior. I used my rewards points for a rather crappy experience. This is not a typical BW experience for me. Will not be staying there again.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this hotel the quality does not match the price the hotel has a serious bug problem I saw a bug in the bathroom hallway, in the room on the carpet, and in the hot tub. The tub was rusted at my arrival, the bath mat was rolled up on the side and visibly dirty. I had to stand on a towel to shower, then the rust began to come up on the towel; which let me know that it hadn’t been properly cleaned prior to my arrival. When I told the front desk about the bug infestation in my hot tub he offered me 1000 points in exchange for the bug infestation which isn’t even enough to redeem a $10 gift card when I paid $600 for the stay. Not to mention after telling the man I wasn’t going to use the hot tub after the bugs had been in it, he asked if I still wanted him to clean it up! After I of course told him yes he did clean the tub out, but the bugs were back the next morning and I even saw one on the carpet in the room, and in the bathroom. I was just thankful I was leaving that morning but as I was leaving that morning I saw another bug in the hallway! The shuttle took 30 minutes to get to me at my arrival to the airport despite its close proximity to LAX which I was never informed it would be that long of a wait and the shuttle also dropped me off in the wrong location at my departure. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel the Hilton is much cleaner convenient and even cheaper.
Great breakfast offer. Convenient places nearby to eat for lunch and dinner. The shuttle is great service to get to and from the airport and nearby car rentals. Only wish there were more than one person behind the front desk to help guests. Elevator only has one and is extremely slow.
Ok but not a great hotel, primarily because everything smells of smoke. This is not a non-smoking property, although my non-smoking room was fine and clean, but lobby, elevator, stairs all smell of smoke. Nice breakfast but very crowded dining room without enough place to sit. Best part was the staff who were very nice and welcoming.
Allen was utterly amazing after travelling for over 25 hours on a flight from Asia and having a layover in LA. Allen welcome us with a smile making us feel at home. He provided us with a great direction on where to get good food. My partner birthday was that next day and he went out his way to ensure provide great customer service that her birthday was special. Allen is a perfect example of a great Best Western employee. Our shuttle driver was kind and super helpful, the service from Best Western Plus LAX Airport was outstanding. As I Best Western Loyal Customer this place did not disappoint. I would recommend this place for anyone needing a place to stay when they are in LA.
I booked this room last minute and was very happy with the room I was assigned. Check-in was quick and easy. The on-site parking was a bit small but was nice to be able to park of the street in a controlled lot. Parking is an additional charge which was a small bother. The room was quite spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a view over the rooftop pool and the downtown Skyline. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night sleep. The bathroom was very large and was clean. The included breakfast was great and offered a lot of variety, including fruit, yogurt, cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, bagels and pastries. Overall a very nice stay. Would consider booking here again if back in the area.
The room was not very clean, the toilet leaked and we are pretty sure that room 319 has bed bugs. We stayed overnight and the next night he had red bumps on his chest that look like bed bug bites. The price was extremely high ($168 total) for the quality of hotel. Also, the hotel is not in a very safe area and although the elevator has posted that you need a room key to access it, it is not so making the hotel accessible to anyone. We chose the suite option because they have a pull out sofa bed. However, it was so uncomfortable our 15 year old wouldn't sleep in it.
I highly recommend you use your money to stay at the nearby Holiday Inn!
Great location for rental cars and the airport with eating options in walkable distance. Parking ($10) underground. Staff friendly and helpful. A little dated in decor and my room slightly musty but given convenient elements a great pre- or post-airport hotel.
Beautiful room, beautiful furnishings, nice room size, lots of great lighting, excellent bathroom, fine heat and cooling, great bed, TV, amenities, and extras. Hotel looks good. Everything very clean. Excellent price for room, low price for parking, indoor garage with convenient elevator to all floors of hotel. Small driveway but with close-in parking designated for registration, so no problem. Convenient location, we stayed to be close to LAX for our morning flight home. Overall one of the best values ever. They've done a great job there. Thanks to Best Western this was an excellent finish to a busy vacation.
The room was nice and perfect what we needed. The room had a lot of space. We were only there 1 night, only complaint would be that the shower water didn't get hot enough. Other than that, great stay and comfortable bed.
