Great place. The bed was very comfortable, nice large TV, common areas are very nicely designed. We we're not sure about the parking as there was an option to purchase a spot online, we did not get the parking and were not charged for it either.

Clean rooms; great employees: cheerful, helpful, welcoming. Shuttle only runs to a couple of specific points (squares) at very specific times. That being said, one of those stops is right by red line that will take you most other places of interest. Or you can do like we didwalk the neighborhoods.

Wonderful staff. Newer remodel. Nice bar, sitting area. Starbucks connected. A "Secret Garden" sitting area outside with fire pit. Good atmosphere.

I stayed here for a weekend in the "Deluxe King" I recommend looking elsewhere, as this is a ripoff with lots of false advertising.
1. Staff is unprofessional, careless and untrained. No one wears a tag or badge so you can't tell who works there and who doesn't. They act as if they don't work at the hotel and are surprised when you ask questions. The bartender told me for breakfast they have "whatever is on the menu.", which isn't much. Another bartender told me he closes the bar and kitchen based on how many customers they have. He also told me they close at 10:15 which is almost an hour earlier than what the hotel is advertising.
2. Advertising- That's exactly what this place is. They claim to be a "boutique" hotel, whatever that is, but I assure you this is not. The parking lot is too small, and the hotel is backed up to a busy highway. Outside, the hotel looks like an advertisement for a casino. Its a budget hotel trying to be hipster and charging the same price as a luxury hotel.
3. Cost- There is no free coffee, no free breakfast. I've never actually seen a hotel without coffee. The expensive breakfast menu was unattractive and some of the items were out of stock.
4. Unauthorized charges- I was charged twice for my room, which the hotel claims I had authorized. Then charged a 100 dollar deposit, 32 for parking and again for a drink that I didn't have. That's around 600 dollars of unwarranted charges, on top of what we actually paid for the room.
5. Rooms- Small, renovated but some items are so old they are turning yellow. The couch and table is so small, that its unusable. This hotel brags about its views but mine was of the parking lot.

6 Shuttle- The hotel had to find a driver for us. He didn't speak clearly and had a unkempt appearance. The bus is supposed to be premium of some sort but its really just a ice cream van with a paint job. The driver wouldn't take us to Boston as advertised by a 3rd party, only to a train station instead. Otherwise, its a ten minute hike down a busy highway in a commercial area, not exactly the Cambridge you would expect. We ended up driving from then on, because I couldn't trust their service to pick us up on our way home.

My husband and I loved our stay here at the Freepoint hotel in Cambridge. The hotel is very nicely renovated and was in a great location. The blackout shade in the room was amazing and the bathroom was beautiful. Our room had a little sitting area, a big t.v., bed, and his/hers robes in the closet! Not to mention the parking fee is very manageable considering it can be as high as $40 a night in Boston. Would highly recommend staying here.

Nice hotel with modern decor. I like that it is close to many amenities, including a Starbucks and even a Whole Foods. Close to Alewife station making it accessible to the rest of Cambridge and Boston. Not to mention that thwre is a convenient shuttle van to either Alewife or Harvard Square. I really enjoyed my stay.

My sisters and niece organised the best family gathering to honor my recently deceased mother. The staff of the Freepoint hotel were exceptionally accommodating for our large number of people of all ages. I am not sure we could possibly find a better place or better people for our needs. I will certainly stay at the Freepoint the next time I am in the Boston area for business or pleasure.

I found the rooms to be clean as wel as the premises. I never made it to the gym, however, I peeped inside. It was small but doable. The staff was polite and I had absolutely no issues.

Rooms were comfortable, loved the subway tiling in the bathrooms. Staff was helpful and professional. Free shuttle to Harvard square is available, but you have to reserve it with the front desk beforehand.

Awesome new bar and outside seating area Rooms are nice though they look a bit like an IKEA showroom-- that may be good or bad depending on your taste. Lack of a proper desk in the room makes it less than ideal for business travelers. No more free continental breakfast Though the paid options are tasty.

Brand new hotel. So new the paint has barely dried and some items/areas are not complete. With that said, the staff are professional. Most are friendly. The location is awesome! It's near a small shopping center, movie theater, whole foods, Trader Joe's, and Starbucks. The rooms lacked a couple of things (hangers, bathtub, and desk) but has great toiletries, exposed brick and nice art work. I'd stay again at the right price.

Very nice room that is not to large, not to small, Very Comfortable beds. Will be better when they get the right license for a night cap after a long day! The remodel is doing great things here. Love the access to so many running/walking trails near the campus.
