This is a great place for takeout with a great price too. They cook their vegetables in broth instead of oil and then sautéed with meat and sauce. The owners are at the restaurant everyday to ensure quality. Some of the dishes I recommend are chicken with eggplant , rice noodle soup (not on the menu), beansprouts with chicken & shrimp. Honestly, everything looked good. You should give a try.

A stand alone establishment. You order and pay for food. Then they call you when good is ready. When i walked in it was concerning as everything is outdated and well used from furniture to pictures on wall. We ordered one of the daily specials. A large portion of food. The food was very good. I would say this is a couple of steps above the typical chinese takeout places that are often in strip malls.

Casual little restaurant. Affordable foid. Enough on one plate for 2+ people. Decent food for sure. A bit salty maybe. Easy to want to come back.

I had the golden sesame chicken lunch special. It tasted ok, but left something to be desired regarding taste. It did, however, fill me up comfortably. The older man with salt & pepper colored hair refilled my drinks (mine and my family) and thanked him a few times, but there was no response at all which was a bit on the strange side. I'd probably go again due to the location in conjunction with Meredith College and it's price point That is the true value Not many other restaurants right there and still not gouging you with prices.

My boyfriend and I have been ordering from here since he was a student at State. We live in Wake Forest now but take special trips down just for Beansprout. The tofu options are so delicious and done perfectly. Service is always quick and kind. Defintely our favorite date night spot

My favorite Chinese for sure. General Tso's Tofu is the best. I don't know how they get it to such perfect crispiness. I recommend getting take out inside isn't the nicest, but that's okay.

Really quick service at 6 on a Saturday. Good, plentiful food and a clean seating area. It's on Hillsborough but there's plenty of parking. We will definitely be back!

Get the general tso tofu, best in the business. Eggplant tofu is a little funky but good, garlic sauce tofu was a little funky as well but good.

From the street it might not look like much but Beansprout offers some quality American style Chinese food! Whether for takeout or dining in, you'll find all the standard classics like General Tso's or sesame chicken, various noodles, and the usual appetizers and soups plus a wide selection of meatless options (their eggplant dishes are sublime) and a small selection of more traditional choices on a small whiteboard menu by the register. Portions are more than adequate and service is always quick. Don't let looks fool you - stop in and give it a try!
