So yummy! Husband got an amazing burger. I got the pulled pork sandwich - sauce is delicious. $22 for us both, without alcohol. People are super friendly. A very quaint little hole in the wall. Will eat here again the next time we visit the island.

The burger was good but it probably could have been better. I went there on my lunch break and when I got back to work with the burger it didn't have the lettuce and tomato and onion like I ordered so I went back to get it and by the time I got to eat it it was cold. I was disappointed. They were not even busy at the time. The girl who served me didn't seem to care about getting the order correct. I received indifferent service. I most likely won't go back.

At here today for the first time. My family of five at for under $50 (including beers) great food my boys loved it. Highly recommend! Can't wait to come back

Food was good. Fast service. They must have had a problem with their vendor's buns or they were stored improperly because my wife got bbq and the bun had mold on it. They replaced it, no problem. The second one also had bread mold on it also. Hard to detect because it was small and most people probably wouldn't have seen it so others may have had it too. The staff wouldn't have seen it, they were too busy trying to get out the orders. Also it is probably too dark inside to have seen it, we were outside at one of the tables. I'm not finding fault with the staff as it could happen anywhere especially with hot & humid temperatures of the environment, but it certainly gave us an uneasy feeling about what we were eating. We are checking our food very carefully now at any establishment we go to.

Low key bbq spot by the beach. Not trendy like Southern Soul but the food is good and fresh and you won't have to wait forever to get it or find a place to sit. Don't get me wrong, I like Southern Soul but sometimes you don't want to deal with all the tourists, traffic, standing in line or being forced to sit outside in a smoke pit plume, 100 degree weather and next to the airport. You also don't have to wait in line to get your drink refilled. If it's good enough for Alton Brown, it's good enough for me.

This is our second time here. We thought we give them another chance but they failed miserably. Boxed Mac and cheese, frozen french fries, average BBQ meat.
For the price, the other BBQ shop (converted gas station) is a lot better.
I expected more but they did not deliver. Will not be back

Just a simple place to eat whether your are fully dressed or on your way home from the beach. Some of the best Bar B Q you will ever eat. Food is always hot.

it's a family owned and operated barbeque restaurant that serves up consistently good food without all the tourist crowds and the glossy magazine hype The chicken is really moist and well smoked, the barbeque is excellent - not "whole-hog" so the meat is leaner but cooked just right (read moist and not greasy) If you're downwind when the smoker is fired up it will draw you right in it's also the front for a very small, mostly-locals bar
It's not fancy, it's the kind of place where you pay when you order at the window and they hand you a cup and point you in the direction of the tea and drink fountain.
They have 2 flavors of sauce and a roll of paper towels at the table. Straight off the beach is just fine, There's cold AC and picnic tables inside and picnic tables and fans outside It's the real deal

The worst BBQ I've ever had. The pulled pork and brisket were tough and flavorless. Even the cole slaw and baked beans were marginal at best. Don't waste your money at this establishment.

My friends and I visited SSI from Memphis, so we know a little bit about BBQ. The BBQ and briskets at this place could place in the Memphis BBQ fest. It's got a strong smokey flavor which some people might not like, but I did. Everything was tender, not dried out. I had beans and my husband had the potato salad. He said the potato salad was sub par, but the beans were great, a little tangy. It's tough to tell when you walk in that you go up to the window to order before sitting. Kinda dark and small inside but there was plenty of seating outside. Food came out fast, but it's a self serve kinda place so I can't speak on service. Overall a great, quick little place to grab a bite after first getting into town.
