Great good but the service was horrible! New girl on the job for 2 days and she truly couldn't so anything. Her trainer didn't help much either. Sushi was wonderful.

This restaurant is one of my favorite Hibachi restaurants of all. You can't beat the fact that you get so much food when you come in here.

Generic "Japanese" steak house. I would not recommend if you are looking for something new. But food was the norm for a Japanese steak house, so it was good.

I give it 1 star because I had rate it something in order to write a review. This kani house is absolutely disgusting! 1st sign that It was going to be horrible was the 3 cars and in the parking lot. I have never been to a kani house on a Saturday at 5oclock with no customers. 2nd the soup was not even hot. Taste just like water. I know it's nothing but chicken broth but did you have to stretch the broth out that much by adding so much water? 3rd my salad lettuce was brown. 4th the cook dropped the knife and almost cut himself. 5th my vegetables taste exactly like vegetables. Now I know that's what they are "supposed to" taste like but these had absolutely no seasoning and was hard aka not cooked long enough. I could go on and on but of course by This point I had all the signs pointing to not eat here and I entertained it anyways so no need to complain now might as well stay and eat it. I'll end it by saying this, my $72 dollar meal tasted as if I got it off the dollar menu at McDonalds. That place as ruined my Kani house experience and I will never attend another one ever!

Ok let me start off that a reservation was made for 16 people around a hibachi grill. My family shows up a little early and they would not seat us until our entire party showed up. That is fine and typical. Our entire party arrives and my wife tries to sit beside me (open spot) but they MADE her move because there was not enough room at the tablekeep in mind RESERVATION was for 16 and an OPEN seat(if you can't seat everyone around one hibachi grilllet someone know ahead of time).
Ok fine whatever, so we order our food (my youngest and myself at one table and my wife and oldest at another table). The service at my table was fine but I must say, the child prices are VERY high.
My wife however had a HORRIBLE experience. First off, she ordered a sushi roll. Next she ordered a hibachi chicken and shrimp that indicated in the menu a price of $18 with a share plate for my daughter of an extra $6. Sushi roll came AFTER they had finished their hibachi meal(supposed to be an appetizer). Got the bill, the plate she orders was actually $21 and the share plate was $8. Now not that big of a difference right?!?! She only had cash on her because my wife's debit card was lost and my youngest and I had to leave for Daddy Daughter dance (because we had to wait so long to get seated and served).
Needless to say, my wife barely had enough money on her and couldn't leave a tip (not that they deserved one anyway). There are sooooo many options for Japanese in the area, I would avoid Kani House if possible!!!!response / report this review -

Service was great and we sat down right away. The only thing was that there was not enough chicken on my chicken fried rice. I would have liked a lot more.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. I would have given 5 stars but we had a large group with children and had to wait almost an hour from the time we were seated to the time we got our food. I don't think this is normal service for them. I have been here before and will go again.

Today was the first day I stopped coming to Kani house in johns creek. A girl Elizabeth or I heard named Liz made me feel very comfortable today yelling at a nice co worker and throwing stuff being very unprofessional. Manager needs to do something about I don't want my kid to witness things like that. Will not be back at this location again for a while.
