Nice place but ocean view rooms is also viewing city traffic! All ocean view rooms are right in front of a busy street. Over powering a beautiful view from your balcony, busy traffic cars going by at arm's length from you..ugh

Nice independent hotel located directly on the beach. Rooms are nicely appointed, but aren't quite luxurious. We had one of their premier corner rooms, which was large and had a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. We had a gorgeous unobstructed view of the sunsets. Pool is small, but it's the sideshow to the ocean. Located near many restaurants, the location is convenient yet quiet. Very clean. Breakfast was just ok..

I would come here every chance I get. The staff is great! The rooms are great! The service is great! The views are spectacular. I have nothing to complain about, except all the chairs outside have super glue on them! Every time I sit in one, I can’t get up again! It is so relaxing to be here. My wife and I spent a week here and didn’t need a car. We walked every where and loved it! Thanks guys for the wonderful stay!

We loved being right on the beach, which was private. Pool and hot tub area was nice, although sand wasn't cleaned out of the hot tub. Our room was huge. Very spacious and the bathroom and shower were luxurious. Only complaint would be that the staff wasn't the most friendly, but did accommodate our needs. We would come back for sure.

The rooms are huge and the beds are comfortable and the bath rooms are really NICE. We were really disappointed in the breakfast selection being very limited and compared to last year a joke, Could have been the same and people would be raving. Paid a lot of money for our room to have a beach and full ocean view and then you let these people put-up canopies in the middle BLOCKING our view. Signs said NO CANOPIES allowed. Then these friends invited all there friends that live maybe an hour away to come and use all the facilities from the hot tub to the pool and did not have to pay a cent. I never got a chance to use the hot tub as it was full of UNPAYING CUSTOMERS. You pay over $2000.00 for 3 nights and this is what we got. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Are you afraid to tell this group that comes every Labor Day to cool it. We won't be back on a holiday. You have such a nice place and charge a lot . We really like Carlsbad but our trip with our family was kind of poor. You need to speak up for everyone not just your favorites it seems.

The location can't be beat and everyone is just very friendly and accommodating. We were a big family getting together and we had no worries. It was a great setup

Awesome hotel. Its pool is big, warm and has an awesome view (just like all of the rooms) The hotel is right on the beach and almost all of the rooms have a beautiful view. Rooms are large and beds are perfect (not too hard or soft). Staff is friendly. Breakfast is included, and tastes a lot better then you would expect. Although it costs alot, it is totally worth it.

Amazing!! So accommodating and the beach is right there! The breakfast could have more selections, but the hotel itself is great. Free parking too, which is a plus. They let you borrow everything you need for a fun beach day, so convenient. If you have the extra money (because it's double what the other hotels cost across the street), stay there. 😊

I really wanted this to be a five star placeespecially for $400+ per night. The staff is friendly, our room was clean and comfortable and on the ocean, but that was about it. No service at the pool. Not even a working vending machine. The breakfast is about the same as a continental breakfast anywhere else. If you go, understand you are paying for the ocean view/front, not the hotel.

Great service and staff. The room was modern and clean. Great view of the pier. The valets were excellent. The only issue was the train right next door. It did not wake us up at night though. Stay here in Oceanside!

Upgraded to a partial ocean view, Amy from the front desk was so kind to take us to eat room and shows the difference between the room and The View it was well worth the small upgrade she was particularly helpful and delightful we asked for an early check-in she offered to take our number and then call us as soon as the room became available. Hotel is right on the beach they have a great swimming pool with view of the ocean as well as hot tub. plan to make it the only place I will stay when I want to go to the beach

Had a room right on the beach, second floor. We have been coming here several years. And we just love the proximity to the ocean. We can hear the sounds of the ocean waves which just lulls us to sleep. The room is huge and very comfortable. The bathroom is quite spacious. The bed is great. All amenities are excellent. Breakfast is decent, but nothing to write home about. Overall, we have enjoyed our stays here.
